Last year was 2022, that was not a good time to still be holding coins, in February of 2022 the bears are strongly taking over crypto market and many crypto projects are turning into scam, anyway, you must have learn something from this loss, you probably invested in bad projects is all.

You can still made some adjustment and become a better crypto investor, all you need to do is upgrade your way of choosing projects, say no to anything meme coin and hype, focus on the project utility, the team and the partnerships they have, even if you sell your coins too late or you hold when you should be selling your coins, you won't lose to rug pulls.

Although you have lost on one side, you have gained on the other side. You stopped the crypto journey because you lost a lot by investing in crypto currency but you continued your studies. In this I think you have never done anything wrong. But we're so glad you're back in cryptocurrency. You try again I think you can turn around. Remember to invest what you can afford to lose. And definitely focus more on Bitcoin while investing. Any investor should not focus too much on altcoins. If you keep your investment in bitcoins then you would not have suffered losses so your investment would never have been destroyed.

The first mistake you made was not understanding what crypto is all about, in cryptocurrency, we should always learn to invest any amount we can afford to lose, don’t invest any amount that’s going to affect you after losing it, I think that was the first mistake you made, you invested huge amount of money and after losing you lost interest in cryptocurrency.

Investing in altcoins is really risky, when investing in altcoin, it’s just like you are gambling, your profits is not assured, altcoins can crashed at any moment, we saw some strong altcoins that crashed last year so no altcoin should be trusted. I see no reason why you should invest huge amounts of money in altcoins. I really agree with you that players always play with risks and good investors learn more from losses . But, one should also adopt a realistic approach. To do something nothing and hope for best  is not wise level in any case, but less knowledge and inexperience regarding your field really matter. You never do the same thing and expect different result. Therefore you have to move away from what you were doing previously and try new strategy, the previous strategy was bad and no need trying what was not profiting . Yes, knowledge and understanding of BTC and cryptos in general should be present before the act of buying.
Or at the very least alongside a DCA strategy with small amounts by the time you're sure what you're doing.

It's pretty simple, who would buy stocks of companies they don't know, without understanding of what they are doing, and with no background?

I'm sorry to read that you've already lost money in the past OP, but I sincerely hope that this experience made you realize that quick gains are not automatic, and most importantly, that education and patience are essential to make profits with Bitcoin.

I know that feeling when you got rugged, it's really sad when you lose all your money in just one tick, I've experienced this and there's a lot of trauma you can't get, You will lose hope in crypto currency and everyone will down you.
