Well people did make lots of money in the stock market just not in 2022. Look how many people from the wallstreetbets made huge gains by buying calls for Gamespot and AMC. However the party ended after the fed started to raise rates.

Right now there are a handful of stocks keeping the sp500 up. Once they get bad earnings then we can expect a larger correction. With the debt ceiling issues and inflation issues. It’s a very risky market to predict what will happen in the near future.

What they did is that these promotors, brokers, and influencers make a deal and promise a bright future after investing. A person who hears this will simply say amazing, I have to invest...Later part, when you are asking what happen, you can never see and talk to them anymore. Very unfortunate when we are investing in something that we don't have any idea about and it was too difficult to blame others when in the first place we don't even bother to study the market before deciding.
We have to move on and make this a lesson and reference in the future, that is the only thing we can do OP.

There isn't any. if it loses it should be part of our readiness as stock investors. they will not guarantee that our money will return if what we invest is suddenly lost or rugpull. we can only accept it and learn again to be really careful in choosing projects to invest.

By just reading the first part, it's already shady that in investment everyone should be aware of that there's no guaranteed returns.

And if there's an investment that guarantees you a percentage or returns or greatly promises then you're actually going to see your own downfall there.

No refunds with that and it's either the broker took the money and ran away or he's actually saying true thing but no guarantees that the stocks that he has invested in will come back later. Don't get blinded by those words of professional traders as they say, no one can be better than the market.

I think the fact that stock market is filled with people who lost their entire savings is proof enough, we do not really need any more extra proof on top of that. I think it is very important to see that we are in a world where it is going to suck for a long time if we keep trusting people who keep saying they will make us rich. No person who tells you that they can make you rich, could make you rich it is just that simple.

If it was that much simple to get rich then they would get rich themselves, if I knew a guaranteed method to make me rich, I would sell everything, my house, my car, my pc, my shoes, even my clothes, I would own nothing at all and sell everything and invest. I'm an advocate in people diversifying retirement portfolios with index/mutual funds instead of keeping their entire in a single asset. That being said, it's not going to make you "rich." It's meant to act as a safety net and grow your net worth as cash sitting in a bank account will decay in value. I've seen too many young/naive investors start putting large amount into stocks thinking it's the secret to accruing wealth. Doesn't work that way.

He's right that the market enters cycles so you shouldn't sell for a loss in a bear market. If you're trying to game the market into retiring young and rich, that's not investing. That's more akin to gambling. Get a new broker. Your broker sounds a bit dodgy with the half truths he's telling.

You can't convince a stockbroker who has been in the market and knows how things go, this is just like for people in crypto, and with the trends we have now, you are now preaching to me because of volatility issues with Bitcoin. The stock broker has their days of victory likewise the others because I have seen people who made it though stock also.

Well one thing is sure, your broker is trying to motivate you but he is not being very straight wait you. If the market is dropped then it’s dropped and there are multiple theories about every stock in the market. It may come back, it may not come back and it may back after such long period of time that we would exhaust and sell it anyways.

This is the whole reason why everyone who is trading should trade on multiple stocks or share holdings. It should be diversified in such way that you get:

1. Security of the funds at least from 3-4 stocks you holding
2. Balance out your loss and profit amongst the multiple assets
3. Increase the odds of profiting with the time.

You don't lose anything unless you sell your losing positions. Back in 2020, 2018 and 2008 the markets crashed too and it always recovered. This time isn't going to be an exception. If you haven't sold when you were in the green then it doesn't make any sense to sell now while you are in the red. As of now, I have some losing positions and I have some winning positions. I am fine with all of my positions in the markets because I am not interested in the price. I am interested in the company. If it is a good company, then I hold. If not, I sell. It is that simple.

But the frustrating side here is that those owners of money that have been invested, didn't lose it with their bare hands but with someone's hands. There goes the potential mismanagement of the fund and this is what people must avoid if they can't take the result of it because you'll never know how it's going to be. Yes, there are cycles and whatnot and if I'm reading it correctly with the response of the guy, that's not acceptable. Most of these stock brokers are just like the influencer marketer that paid to hype a meme coin and they will always say beautiful things just to get the attention of investors for the fee or commission they are going to earn.

You are absolutely right, broker is snake oil. It is very big mistake for anyone who comes under this promise trap of broker. We can't always rely on someone for what should I do, should I take risk? should I invest or not? If you have enough knowledge about it, you have done well research before invest in stock then you always stay away from all this promised, and advice of the broker because promises are just medium to attract to those  customers who is already inexperience and who want to become millionaire or billionaire is short term.

Normally, stock market losers cannot receive a refund unless the loss was caused by fraudulent or illegal operation. Another thing that can provide investors refund is if the stock were covered by insurance.
Investments are inherently risky just like cryptocurrency, and investors must be ready to accept losses if the market doesn't perform as anticipated.
