Honestly am new here and with my little time that i have spent in this forum i have observed,and i wanna ask the forum mate if that is posible because i saw it happening amonge the forum mate and the person that invade this platform for me,people in this forum who are connected in one way or the other are trading on their sendable merit not only the their sndable merit but orher way of trading on merit is going on in this forum,so my question is,is it good and permitted to do such on the forum,

No not ideal action to do and this is been discourage by many forum users then once you get caught buying some merits to other users here both of you seller and buyer will get a red trust.

If you think buying that because you want to join on a signature campaign well that's not really good since all your efforts and money will go to waste if you do that. Just rise up your merit organically since for sure you can learn a lot of things by frequently posting and researching here.

Always remember that buying a merit is look like you are cheating on your exam or let's say that your lie on your self, even though buying merits is not permitted but if you do that then DT members here in forum will tag you a negative feed back and also those user who are selling Merits also got a Negative trust because it's abusing the merit system. We all know that Merit is a reward for those people who actually do a good job and contribute to this forum.  So no need to buy merits cause we will earn that through contributing.

Its something like that since they want to speed up the process and they don't like to experience hardship for getting those merits. And also buying merit is not really necessarily needed since if you have a lot of time can spend here you can research a lot of things also can add up what is lacking on the topics or new information to be share then for this provably he can earn merit from people who can find his post relevant or helpful.

Trying to shortcut the process is not really helpful in the long run since for sure you cannot learn anything for doing such nasty actions.

Yes you are right that mate and we are know that nothing is shortcut in this world all must go for hardship in order to be a successful. Like in our forum, we must contribute well to this community to gain more achievements like earning our merits and also achieving new ranks we must know that we will live this forum in a good way. Cause we are all know buying merits is not just bad act but a very bad act.

Some of those newbies want to shortcut because they see that there's signature campaign running which accept high ranking member, but they didn't realize that its not all about the rank and merit since they need to be more constructive on their post so that they will be notice by the managers and get accepted on their campaigns. If they make those things fast by cheating the system for sure they cannot contribute well on this forum and their bought merits will became useless since it will just expire once 120 days pass.

if you carry out activities such as selling/buying accounts, selling/buying merit, selling/buying personal data, selling/buying drugs and selling/buying other dirty things then it is strictly prohibited in this forum.  this is a free forum but you are not too much free here, there are many rules that you must live and understand so that this forum can keep running positively, away from spammers and not get into trouble in the future.

All illegal transactions are legally prohibited from being carried out in this forum although the rules differ between the seller's country and the buyer's country. I mean in some countries maybe legalized cannabis, while I can't buy it because my country doesn't legalize it.

Buying and selling merit is not liked, the same thing is about buying and selling accounts. Both of them can make anyone who does it get a negative tag from DT members if the transaction is known and can be proven. So it's true, don't break the rules even though there are no written rules about it.

rules are made to maintain order and peace in a community, maybe in your country marijuana is prohibited but not all countries legalize it too, some countries stipulate that marijuana is only legal in a few districts.  in this forum we set merit and accounts are things that are forbidden to be sold or bought, if a member violates that then he will definitely be removed from the community.

then what is the purpose of buying Merit? to be able to rank up or at least be able to send pictures? there is a cooper member provided by the forum to facilitate that.
at least it can help to move up the ranking to Member. I don't know the exact price specified by the Merit seller. but to rank up to Full Member and above, of course, requires more money if it's done.
The practice of buying and selling Merit does exist, I've seen in a telegram bounty group, members offer accounts of various ranks and also Merit.

I understand that the first merit is difficult for many, let me give you one as a motivation for you to more valuable posts. Try to accept the forum as a source of valuable information, and not as a source of income. When you accept this, and learn to read and not just write what comes to mind, your merit will come to you for free.

Motivation is what makes other people who have lost hope of how they should contribute to the forum and also an advice that will change their mindset that if you focus on getting merits for the sake of ranking up for bounties will only making it hard getting merits. I myself experienced it before until it made me realize that if you focus too much on getting merits then what I explained will surely happen and so, if I did it until now then I wouldn't have reached Hero Member rank.

Motivation and determination go in handy to reach whatever rank you want to. You need both to excel in the forum.
The OP has been given one merit by Lovesmayfamilis to motivate him but he still needs a decisive mind to carry on that merit can be gotten freely not by buying it.
Everyone in the forum earns the merit given to them by making quality posts and none buys it to get to the level they are. That's what the OP has to keep in mind

Is best to accept the forum the way it is than having a different point of view about it, by making it all about ones self. Giving better information on different topics without thinking of what you'd gain in return can divert your mind from thinking more of getting merit and speaking from experience it makes you desperate and you loose focus on the forum if care is not taken.

Buying or selling of merit hasn't  really been put out there on whether it's allowed or not ,but by forum etiquette it isn't as it may promote account farmers, ban invasions and possibly bring more spam!

Besides merit was introduced to bar spammers from ranking up as spam was mostly generated from signature campaigns and bounty campaigns that paid more based on rank but with its introduction this has gone down.

Btw merit alone isn't enough if motive is to get into  signatures as it requires a certain quality of posts to be made for one to be enrolled in most signatures around here! Remember it's quality over quantity!!

Theymos probably don’t want to become harsh on dealing with merit abuse since it’s easy to spot them using merit graph and he believes that implication of having a red tag is enough to scare those user that will deal with it instead of making additional work for mods to ban all the suspected merit abusers.

Red tag user is almost equal to no value account because they can’t join the campaign which is the main reason why users want to earn merit on quick way to rank up and join campaign.

As I've said before, I'm not really worried about it. Especially at those high prices (plus the risk of being red-tagged), it's enough of a barrier that it should still serve its intended function of creating a significant cost/barrier for garbage-posters.

I will admit that when I first started using Bitcoin Talk, I didn't fully understand how the merit system worked (I am still learning) and I wanted to skip the line but after spending some time in threads, I quickly realized that there is a lot to learn on here and that merit will naturally happen if you have anything of value to contribute.

The obstacle is the way. Enjoy learning and contributing what is uniquely your own and I think that the merit will follow.

Your assertion would have been given utmost attention if you attached an evidence. You're just assuming and you should not always conclude based on your assumptions. Despite that you don't have evidence to prove your observations accurately, you may not be wrong to some extent but to clear your doubt, merit trading is not good.

Let look at it this way, you are admitted into a college and instead of you to focus on your studies you started offering money to lecturers for marks and grade. Systematically, you'll graduate but you'll lack the academical knowledge which is the purpose of being in the college. Forum is the college in this case, by trading merit you'll rank up but will lack the knowledge you're here for. Merit is like a reward for doing great here by contributing to the forum and its users. There's no need to rush... Determination, patience and of course, hardworking will see you through. By hardworking, I mean improvement from your end.

This type of behavior isn't new on the forum, he isn't the first user to come out and give baseless accusations on sensitive topics like this, this isn't different from those newbies that always come out to say the merit system is favoring only the higher ranked members and merits are been exchange between them. Some users come out with this type of accusations to gain sympathy from others as they feel they have merit worthy posts but they aren't getting merited. If OP was frequently getting merited he won't have been thinking about buying merits or giving false accusations without prove that this activity is going on, on the forum.

OP needs to direct his energy to a productive habit which is increasing his post quality. For those finding it difficult to gain merits, we have numerous threads that helps users like yourself and you can apply on those thread and get your posts rewarded with merits. There's so much merits to be given out on the forum as we have many merits sources but there aren't many merits worthy threads been created as most of them are just repeated discussion. Be unique and work on your craft and you'll be merited, don't engage in selling or buying merits. It mightn't be in the unofficial forum rules and regulations but it's morally wrong and when you get caught you won't be treated with mercy.

trading "merits" is prohibited in this forum, it's tantamount to you committing fraud openly and against the members who continue to maintain the stability of this forum, but I appreciate your question because as a newbie, usually they will make a fatal mistake because they have big ambitions to be able to get promoted quickly so they do stupid things like trade merit or do copy paste in an article (plagiarism).

You're correct but how do you intend to encourage the newbies if they have done all they could to create a quality post and yet nothing is coming (like the merit)? Since you and I know how difficult it is to get at least one merit for a start, how do you encourage them?
It seems to be easy to say but getting it right is the problem, some newbies ain't lazy per say, we have no idea how individuals on this forum make out time to do something that would catch the eyes of every user on this Forum (as in creating something informative), so I won't use the word lazy on some of the newbies, it some how discourage them to me but I don't know about you since that's your own opinion tho, a little thumbs up should be given to them at least.

To me no and I see no reason why after all my effort,  I should go mess my account with buying merits, no I wouldn't do that and I do understand  that the pressure and acts do happen  mostly without ranked accounts and most times, also most rampant among account and merit farmers.
Well op you shouldn't be bothered over this practice but you should focus more on making quality post and contributions to the forum and I'm sure the merits will definitely  come.
There are also threads where you cab apply for merits and the frequent one is with that of fillippone where everyone irrespective of your rank and get a post review and you should be certain of about 10 merits from that thread of you submitted about 5 quality post and below is the link incase you shoukd want to see it out

Buying merit is not moderated directly by the forum, but it is not recommended to carry out merit buying and selling activities. If you think logically, why buy merit when you can get merit for free. What if the history of your transactions via PM, Telegram, WhatsApp or other media is screenshotted by the seller and then used as valid proof that you have done something that is not recommended in the forum.

Don't trust anyone easily, digital footprints are cruel my friend, so be careful with anything that can damage the reputation of your account. Don't ever find it difficult to get merit, develop your skills so you can contribute to the forum. The knowledge you have can produce quality posts, try to consistently do it, then the merit will come to you.

Selling copper membership account is activity recognized by the forum and is not morally wrong. It adds up to the forum revenue generation means. It is between the buyer and the forum itself directly.

The benefit of copper member account is the ability to add images to your post without having merit. The forum does not permit newbies account to post image unless you have at least one merit before you can be able to add image to your post but copper member account are being given this privilege because they pay for it and copper member tag is indicated in such accounts under their forum username. I don't think Forum is selling other rank accounts.

The answer is obviously no! You can tell the difference between bought merit and earned merit but you can observe in the post content when it comes to giving opinions. If you caught doing this then provably your account will get a red trust and then you just waste your money for doing that. This is been discourage to do so even if you insist to follow what has been advice to you for sure there will be a member will report you if you still pursue this act.

OP, I don't know what is on mind for you to ask this question. It is easy to get merits if you are serious to learn and make research on your own,with this I believe that you will contribute positively to the forum and you will be merited by other forum members. Buying merits is useless to me because it will drag your reputation to the mud and your account will be tagged with a negative trust. Feel free to learn,spend more time in the forum and use google to understand more about bitcoin before you know it,you will see the merits coming your way and don't be lazy. There are also many generous merit source who help newbies in their thread if you apply.
