please use TalkImg - imgur deletes all images

since tonight all images uploaded on imgur (which are uploaded via an unregistered account) have been deleted. so we don't get various images displayed here on bitcointalk, which could then also affect the auctions or various offers of our collectors.
to solve this problem quickly, since the end of april there is a new service from the user joker_josue who has created a very useful tool/website especially for our forum, where you can upload your pictures/images.

i've been using the website for my images for a few weeks now and i'm very happy with it. loading images in the forum has also become faster.

Now that's some annoying news. Will check out the suggested alternative, thanks cygan. If loading is indeed faster maybe something good has already come from imgurs change of policy.

I have never used imgr, I always use imgbb.com very simple and it outputs links, bbcode etc

is imgr like imgbb where it has an option to auto delete?

imgbb has a "never delete" and has options to delete at certain time intervals.

Yeah that is weird... they were working this morning and now are dead....  will have to change providers

Imgur has been shit for a long time now. It was once a great program/website but then they started getting cheap and taking away basic features like BB code for forums, removing the mobile version which had more stuff than the app etc. I also had issues with uploads and other little things.

I use https://imgbb.com/ . It doesn’t save images but it’s a nice easy way for forum uploads.

yeah I have always uploaded to my account but set it to "only users with link can access"... Anyhow, they are all not showing anymore ....

TryNinja has now developed a browser script that should allow you to automatically upload and edit all imgur.com links found in your post history (including those in quotes you've made from other people).

   This is super cool as for me to have gone thru every thread and post to replace images would've been very time consuming and a headache as well!

Did you read the message in the official topic and on the homepage of the site?
The site is down for maintenance, and image uploads are paused.

Within a few hours, everything will be up and running and you will never need to log in to use the service.

I ask for a little more patience and understanding.
