Your post is talking about a scamming scheme where people are lured into betting on a rigged game, they could do this by having one of the scammers pretend to be a player and win on their bets, just enough to make it believable, anyone who falls victim tries their luck and wins a little amount, not a serious loss for the scammers, but just enough to keep them playing, if they keep playing they start taking their money gradually till the person tires out or runs out of cash.

I've also noticed this in my country too before and mostly those their targeted are old one or they see that they cant control themselves what ive just noticed is that they can like hipnotize people to play more until they lose their all money which even my self cant explain it but the way they talk is that they are very persuasive. With this kind of set up we cant do anything on it so if we see like this we shouldn't try it and immediately leave because for sure it is not a fair play as they manipulate it.

You've said it already; that's their business which is to take advantage of other people. Ofcourse gambling is a choice and is nothing requiring an individual to engage. It is our inner drives and desires which pushes us to engage in gambling with expectations of earning huge in an instant. As cited, people were just encouraged by themselves to do so which already answers whether their money should be returned or not 'coz it would be a different feeling if ever they win the game. If you really think they are cheating on people, you may report their activity to the authority to check if they have papers on their operation. Of course it hurt us financially and emotionally, specially if you are playing money that you can't afford to lose. Yes, we want the site to refund our money, but if it is a legit site and you lose it fair and square then you can't do anything about it, but to let go and live another day.

I think you might be confusing a scam with actual gambling. If, as you say, the bet was decided for you, then that a scam. Nobody should be able to manipulate the outcome of a bet in order to steal someone's money. But if the bet was fair and the only reason for winning/losing is pure luck, then thats fair. Even if you lose all your money in the end. If the lady in your story kept winning out of luck, she should have known it better to stop before she ruins her winnings. She kept going and eventually, she lost it all.

She did not control herself or her emotions and that lack of discipline was her undoing. Of course we all wish that we could get our money back if we lose, but then that would not be called gambling, would it? Would you also be willing to give back your winnings, if you win?
