Of course gambling is our own choice and we should not be forced by anybody into it. In my country public gambling by unlicensed individuals is not allowed and the police will arrest you very quickly. I have seen such games in the past while on vacation, but always asked myself why would anybody gamble in such a setting? You are obviously getting scammed by some shady people and you should know better than to trust them. Why not gamble in a casino instead where you know at least that the games are fair and not rigged? I am sorry for the woman to lose it all, this was a valuable lesson and she is never going to fall for it again. Why should a casino refund your money? It's part of the game that there are winners and losers. Just because we lose one time doesn't mean we can get a refund. Yes, in the case mentioned in this thread, it seems that the girl was forced or fraudulently convinced to gamble in a market of his country, and the OP was curious about this is also a thing in online gambling. In the original case, it is reportable to the police, and if you can get proof about anything similar but online, you should be able to do it too.

Like in the story, this is something I've seen happen as well, and to be sincere, the victims most times act like they were hypnotized or something.

There are lots of rogues trying to take advantage from unwarned citizens through different methods in order to earn easy money. So, just last week, this lady fell a victim and she was shouting and crying, the had obviously emptied her pocket and even gotten her phone from her in the process of the gambling.

You are absolutely correct with this, I've had a personal experience before when I was much younger, If I still remember vividly, my dad sent me to buy something for him in a nearby market place, I encountered three young men looking rather tattered, they were into games like op explained, when I was walking past, I stoop for a while to look, and they started beckoning on me to come and play, but I refused knowing that the money wit me was the money given to me by my dad to buy his item, but seeing I was a little boy, they did all they could to convince me but I refused, I took to my heels when one of them tried to snatch the money I was holding in my hand from me but missed.

It is very important for us to make use of our head to avoid future loses. People that are big losers in gambling are losing because they don't keep attention to how they make beta which can be very risky for there healthy.
