When will we stop living for the weekend? Escaping the 9-5 life

Maybe when we don't have to live in the reality and stick with our own fantasy? Perhaps being dead or being an old retired pensioner are the only way I guess LOL!
I totally get your point because most probably we are all asking the same question whenever we get tired, exhausted, and drained after a long week of work. This is like a daily reminder that reality sucks.
Though there are a handful of ways where you can travel while you're working. One of these is having a job where it doesn't need for you to go the office, but to work remotely. I've seen a lot of freelancers doing this kind of routine. However, it still doesn't stop the 'living for the weekend" and escaping 9-5 life cycle.
Some people dont like to take risk and neither they want to learn new skills. To get rid of 9-5 job one should either learn some new skills or find other ways to earn passive income. Some people learn it hard way - I startef doing it when my job ended suddenly in a day. Since that day I never applied for a job and worked as a freelancer

For those who are busy working 8 hours per day and 5 days per week of course it will be boring, besides that most people who work 8 hours per day and have no ideas to look for other things it will be difficult to develop, use time when holidays or weekends to look for other inspiration, for example how to generate good finances.

Many people feel compelled to continue their work because they need an income to meet their basic needs and maintain financial stability. That fear of losing that stability can make it difficult to step out of your comfort zone and explore alternative paths. So try looking for opportunities to explore your interests and passions outside of your main job. This can provide a sense of fulfillment and open doors to new possibilities. However, keep in mind that there still has to be a balance between financial stability and following your passions and interests.
If we wont work then there's no money that we could spend and we would really be poor and this is something that we dont really like to happen. No matter how much we do hate up our work then we dont really have any choice but to deal with it and live with it or else you would really be living on a life which is miserable on which even having your own meal would be a problem and surely we dont really like that situation.
This is where people would really differ on how they would assess and make approach on such condition on which thinking up various ways and methods on making your living way more comfortable and less stress.
We do mainly think on how to generate more income and this is via investment and business on which you could potentially be able to reach out that certain state on having lots of fiat when you have done it well.
Its a matter of hard work and perseverance if you do have that kind of goal on which you would be needing to move and not just sitting idle and wait up for something changes.

We all wanted to find an extra side job to help us to grow our savings and in the near future we will be able to rest and enjoy our life, but it's reality that we needed to face, without a day job you won't be able to survive long, your salary from your 8 hours job is the one that provides your needs, unless you are single and the responsibilities is not that high.

You can still explore and try different venue of earning money, but if you are tied to any responsibilities, it's really tough to quit without any assurance that you can find a suited side job or investment to fill your needs.

Do you believe that there's a true way to escape this vicious cycle, or are we doomed to live like this forever? Telling me that my minor savings in Bitcoin are going to settle me for the rest of my life isn't going to cut it, because the majority of us won't ever have enough Bitcoin to retire.
Not just majority but more than 80% won't have enough Bitcoin to retire. But the way to escape this vicious life cycle is still to invest and the safer side is when our portfolio is spread across different asset class.

Are you satisfied with this way of life, or would you prefer to live a different way? What would you like to change and how? Personally, I'm clueless and not satisfied with the idea of spending the rest of my life like this.
No one ever wish for a life such as this but not every one understands how to break out of this cycle. Having a deliberate plan to own and manage our daily activities and investment choice is one way out. What i mean in essence is been our own boss not on a small scale business plan but on a plan that can employ people to do the work for us while we have our time to ourselves.

Getting a job can be very stressful and living to it can be tasking because you need to make sure that you make you Boss happy for you not to get sacked. The routine of going to work from Monday to Friday can be very stressing especially when you are living far away from you home. Getting a bus early in the morning rushing to work and rushing back home to meet your kids can be very stressful for us. This is not the best life to live because it could make us old as soon as possible. It is good for us to have our own business so that we can make decisions for ourselves and go to work whenever we like to go.

I enjoy the 9-5. I watched my parents spend the majority of their lives, 35 years, working the 9-5 to be able to raise the kids and provide us with some of the finest things in life. From there, they went on to build one of the most successful businesses in my province. The 9-5 gave them the skills, experience, network, connections, and cash they needed. They worked their 9-5 in a job they loved and in a career they were passionate about. There's nothing wrong with working a 9-5 as long as it's in a place you are passionate about and love; time just passes without you even noticing it.

That's what makes it important to have a job which is what helps us to have a good lifestyle even though we have to spend most of our time to work. Nothing is free to have something in your life that will things better. Because of working hard, some people now are rich and didn't have to work much just like before. It's just like my uncle who are not rich before and must work most of the timr until he hid business is booming and now have employees working for him while he earn money.

80%? I bet it's more like 98%; only the "chosen" ones will have enough bitcoin to retire. Someone who's barely making ends meet can't make huge investments if something else doesn't change in his environment to increase his available income. We often see other users praising Bitcoin, but it's not a panacea; it doesn't fall out of the sky. If you don't make enough, you can acquire enough to put towards your retirement. Thus, until then, you're stuck in a loop. I highly doubt that there's a way to break the circle; most of us will be stuck living on this routine, which on the one hand provides some kind of safety after a while, but on the other, it makes time fly by without having an actual meaning. At least that's how I see it.

Life is inherently difficult; no one wants to be stuck in a cycle of working long hours with low wages and resigned to such a life. It is true that in every person's situation, someone will find satisfaction and purpose in their work, even if it requires long hours or low pay. But others feel that they have no other alternative and thus need a job that provides financial resources, even if it is very frustrating. So leaving your day job without an alternative source of income is a real challenge. That thought kept repeating in my head, and at some point, many people accepted that it was their fate. At that time, it is true that their lives died in a dark way.

The problem is that in this scenario, a person lives for work, and does not work for life. Most people do not see other ways, and therefore they try to legitimize this way of life, when almost all of their day is spent at work. And it doesn't even matter if you like your work or not. The main problem is that other people impose rules on you by which you must live. A person does not have time to use free time on weekends or vacations to think about alternative sources of income that do not require him to work 9 hours a day, 5 or 6 days a week. He is just glad that he finally has a well-deserved two or three week vacation, during which, at best, he can afford not to think about work (although over time there are fewer and fewer such people, because with the spread of instant messengers and free Internet calls, the employee remains constantly available, and is not really distracted from work, he does not receive high-quality unloading).

Another reason for this schedule is that people don't really know what to do outside of work. It is much easier to dream about how you would spend time on your hobbies if there was no work, but only a few do it. People get bored, they don't know what to do with themselves. Moreover, in the modern world, for most people, self-esteem and self-image depend on career advancement. A person does not know who he really is, what he wants and why he lives. And so he needs a system that will answer these questions. Then he will know that he is an accountant, or an SMM manager or a realtor. Then everything becomes clear: how to live, what status you have, what you can count on. And who still asks himself the question of who he is, outside of his work and specialisation?

A sense of passion and dedication to your work elevates you above those who go to work out of necessity. But in fact, these categories of people are not much different from each other, because both of them simply play by someone else's rules and support a system that is beneficial only to those who figured out how to get out of it after all. Perhaps if more people thought about how they can create conditions for themrseves in which they would not have to work for others, work to survive, how not to be a function and a simple performer, it would become clear that there is a huge amount of work in the world which is absolutely useless. And that humanity, in fact, has both time and resources to finally devote time to humanitarian (in the broadest sense of the word), and not utilitarian, reproducing and consumer development.

Time passes, and we have nothing to look forward to. We watch our lives pass, and the only thing we're looking forward to is the weekend or 20 days per year of paid time off. We're working a whole year, from 9 to 5 and sometimes even more, at someone else's business just to have an approximate of 20 days of vacation and two days off per week, with many of us having one or even none per week.
Because the life cycle in most countries is still like that. Especially if you live as an employee or employee in a company, certain office, institution, or other, sometimes you even have to work 6 days and only have 1 day weekend off. And what's more, if they are workers with a shift system and work in public private departments, hospitals, and several other companies, then what happens is that they don't necessarily have weekends on Saturday-Sunday. They sometimes have 1 day off on weekdays. , and in fact not allowed to take a day off on weekends. Because, it is precisely during the weekend that their work comes more to serve customers. And it's still like this. sometimes granting leave rights to employees is also not necessarily in accordance with government regulations, especially in the private sector which is still small. And this does happen, or does it only happen in my country? Even back when I was still teaching at school, I still had to come in on Saturdays. But now I've stopped and maybe the rules have changed.

There are many people who fall into difficult situations when they feel stuck at work with low wages and unsatisfactory working conditions. Financial pressure is also one of the reasons they cannot explore alternative career paths and do not want to take risks while having a stable job. Over time, a growing sense of frustration, resignation, and a sense of being trapped builds up. So don't try to think too much, try to find a side job that matches your interests. Although it can be hard, it will at least reduce negative thoughts about your work.

Inflation is really like a boil in many countries. Although the extent of its impact on each country is different, its direct impact on people's lives is inevitable. The price of materials has escalated, and the cost of living has also increased significantly. It is very difficult for many families to readjust their monthly expenses. More especially, for the poor, whose lives have been very difficult and now have to face inflation, they really don't know how to live. Therefore, the government needs to pay attention to and promote appropriate economic policies at this time.

Many people are dishonest with their attitude and what they write, I mean some of us may have mentioned bitcoin hundreds of times in many daily posts but they don't have bitcoin in their investment portfolio. Inflation has also become the basic problem why many workers find it difficult to save money in recent years, so because of the increasing need for money to make ends meet, of course the adjustment will not be as simple as they say.

Having an investment for old age may be good, but I think they should also realize that it's natural to enjoy the return on their investment as long as they are in good health. Life is not about working and working forever, but we need to enjoy life in a good way even though we have to be responsible for our children and family as well as their future.

Majority of people who got affected by inflation are middle class and poor people rich never got affected by these things they have plenty of money to fa e anything in life.
How come some one wants to escape their job which gives them income and money to support their family.
Majority of people still wait for weekend to relax and spend time with family and do something for themselves.

Exactly. I constantly see other members claiming that Bitcoin has contributed to their financial freedom so much that they're planning to use it to retire in the distant future. I don't get it; if I actually had so much money, I wouldn't go around bragging. This is exceptionally common in newer members who are possibly looking for attention, but anyway, that's not the subject. Bitcoin is great and all, but it doesn't grow on trees; either you have it or you don't. Personally, I don't have the capability to purchase myself; I only earn through signature campaigns and occasional micro-investing. Thus, it's not something that the average person can afford.

Anyway, personally, I've been tremendously helped by Bitcoin, but not everyone can profit from it. Inflation has put a huge burden on households, and it's something that has also affected me, but that isn't my biggest issue; it's that you're working all week just to have one or two free days in which you're too tired to enjoy.

Rich people are not really affected by inflation because they can use more money when needed. However, middle and lower class people who are in the poor category have to work more in order to fight inflation and they are also willing to work in different places to earn more money for their lives in inflationary conditions. Meanwhile for rich people, I think there is nothing to say under any circumstances because they can easily overcome any problem by using money where they want.

That is really the sad truth. Rich people can easily overcome inflation as they have enough money to spend, whereas the middle class and poor are having difficulties coping with it. They tend to just limit their buying, like instead of buying a whole sack of rice, they tend to make it half because if they buy one, they are caught short and have a hard time buying other necessities, unlike the rich, who have extra income or more money than us and don't get short financially.

Are you satisfied with this way of life, or would you prefer to live a different way? What would you like to change and how? Personally, I'm clueless and not satisfied with the idea of spending the rest of my life like this.

I’m satisfied with my current life cycle that perfectly fit on your description. I think you will only feel empty if you didn’t want your job due to the work load or work space environment.

I’m a professional and doing the job that I study for many years which I dedicated my life. This is what we called career and you will enjoy doing it since you will appreciate what you study to apply in real life scenario. Having 2 days a week for day off is already sufficient to me since it’s too boring in the house without doing my job that I have passion.

I think the problem is the job itself and not the cycle. The cycle is good if you are enjoying it.

I know that, so stop there.  Cheesy

In fact, everyone needs to have job to earn income so that their financial condition is better. It's hard to imagine that we will become rich without work, make profit without capital and effort, it seems strange unless there are treasures that fall from the sky which then makes no sense.

Maybe it's time for you to let your money work for you and make money with it. There are many investment assets to consider including bitcoin, gold and so on which can help you get more time off than constantly having a formal work routine for 5-6 days. This is healthy mindset because opportunities must be taken. Work has to be, effort does too, but having an investment mindset and planning as best you can will help.
