Save yourself from Unnecessary stress newbies

After joining the forum earlier this month, I faced a lot of difficulties with proper involvement in the forum activities.
I did not know how to:

• Post
• Reply post
• Paste links
• Embed images

In a nutshell I spent days trying to figure out how to actually engage, although I read a lot of pinned messages (based on advice I got earlier) and knew what I should do, put doing it properly was a herculean task. I had to seek help from a friend and all he showed me was how to reply posts and he too briefed me that he faced a lot of challenges before finding out how to reply posts by intuition. I knew there would be an assistant somewhere and started searching for it myself.

Little did I know that the pre-requisites help I've been looking for was clearly spelt out in the help navigation, All thanks to the forum moderators that provided such a wonderful guide for us. I've consumed that content repeatedly and wouldn't fail to fall back to it in event of further difficulties.

It is possible that some newbies like me had given up when faced with these simple challenges trying to engage. Subsequently, I advice all freshers to access the help navigation.

It assisted me in a great way and you'll be glad you visited it as it properly explains the forum involvement architecture.

When you reply to a post, trim the quoted post to only sentence you want to reply to.

For an image, try checking this thread . [Tutorial] How to add an image, resize an image, and make an image clickable It's a step-by-step guide on how to add and resize images here on the forum.
But the image upload link there, which is Imgur, is no longer working here on the forum, so you should replace it with . TALKIMG , which is a site built specifically for Bitcointalk image hosting,

I can see you've already learned how to add a link.

After joining the forum earlier this month, I faced a lot of difficulties with proper involvement in the forum activities.

I have made a post of this nature sharing how I figured out a solution but it wasn't encouraged rather senior mates gave examples of posts of such nature, I don't really know if sharing such a post is bad or good but it seems to me that I should just keep what ever I discover to my self and not share it or create a thread of it.
There are some changes that have been made in the forum that is not included in the help e.g Imgur is not longer used in the forum, so have it at the back of your mind.

The forum never intended any thing to be difficult that's while the help button is clearly put on the tools bar, if you able to register, and login and been experiencing any difficult you would not find it so difficult to see the help button too, I always advice newbies to explore more on the forum, it's best to unlearn what you have heard about the forum when you get in here and strive to learn new things and the best way to do that is not shying away from exploration.

About pasting links, it's one thing to know how to learn it and it's another thing to know how not to miss use it, just like some do abuse the quote option and then creating an unnecessary eye saw of quote pyramid. Don't paste link that's miss leading, spam, phishing link, or something that actually against the forum rules.

I advice all freshers to access the help navigation.

The help option is on the menu to offer assistance to new people in the forum, but many people ignore it completely and sometimes they end up asking some questions that should not be able because they have already been answered in the help section. Just as many new people in the forum fail to use the help option, many people also fail to use the search option for topics that have been discussed before too.

To what I know, no body gets to know so much about the forum and uses of certain features in just a snap of finger. You need to give yourself more and more time as you engage in activities and discussions within the forum you acquaint yourself gradually with everything you need to know. For some reasons you have been able to discover the Help button around the toolbar, in same vein you will discover more other helpful resource to help you navigate your way around the forum.

There's a possibility you might wanna pull up another post  seeking for answers to a few things you're yet to know about the forum which is possible that other newbies like you must have asked same, so as a way not to reiterate same questions looking like spamming do well to navigate around each section of the forum like a way of DYOR and you can start by going through post's in Beginners and Help board it's like a gateway for all newbies in the community.

It's possible - and basically beginners have to get used to learning something new and don't be shy about asking. Self-taught tends to produce knowledge that you can always remember. But you are also allowed to ask anything if you don't find a solution to your problem.

I think maybe at the beginning you also felt the same way, still groping for things like making quality posts by including attachments in the form of links and images. Well, this is where the convenience that we feel in this forum. there is something we don't know and are doubtful regarding this matter, someone will respond to help direct it. This is a good effort from you to find a way out of confusion, at least it will be easier and easier in the future and to upload images now I can no longer use imgur if I'm not mistaken, but must use the link from the image source.

I suppose that newbies can have difficulties finding a forum only if they have never used this way of communicating with people, namely, if they do not understand what forums are. This forum is equivalent; like others, it does not differ much from each other. Yes, the topic of the forum is different, and the rules are slightly different, but one thing is important in all forums: communication and discussion of any topic. What can be difficult, I do not understand. Just read and communicate; do not burden yourself with problems because you may be different from other members of the forum somewhere. We are all different. On the contrary, if a person pretends to be knowledgeable at a time when he is not, he will once again attract attention to himself, and only after that may there be an understanding that the forum is aggressive towards newbies.
The best thing that should be in the user who came to this forum is his sincerity and interest in Bitcoin.

Welcome on board mate but I thought you stated that you were preadvised to read more of pinned messages and rather than asking  you to read pinned messages, why didn't he or she just direct you to the important things and also teach you how to do all of these stuffs rather than making you go through all of those stress.
The help  button has always been a very helpful tool in the forum and everyone can use it even me and most times I have to use the tool to get help before even asking the forum.

As a newbie fresh on this forum, you're expected to take your time to learn how things works here and the first to do is to read, learn about the forum rules and regulations, not about how to make your first post, check the boards and get familiar with them, read the beginners and help section often, bitcoin discussion and Meta board, from all this findings you would have discovered the forum's rules, posting etiquettes and how it's expected of you to read before posting ad how to make use of the forum search engine in general for any aspect you're interested on if discussed already.

I think you should speak english here since its an international section. You should direct this message to your local board.

Being a real newbie here is literally hard. Like all stuff arent that simple and tend to be confuse about. Even I when was a newbie didnt post much on beginners section cause I dont know that there are dedicated section for that hence I focus on gaining airdrops which I realize during the time I was grinding about it. Well we should just be patience with them being with a higher rank.

You must be at a higher position than Newbie to add images to your posts. In addition, you can choose an alternative route to buy Copper member if you want to add images to posts more quickly.
The instructions from Nwada001 are very useful for you to understand how to add images, the guide shared there is also equipped with how to resize images on the forum. You will understand each of the points you mentioned above if you always read the thread that guides you on the forum, as long as you are not lazy to read, you will develop faster.

This shouldn't be a problem to any newbie in the forum, unless the person has never had access to internet before, perhaps not being in any forum before. Every post has a reply icon and a text box for messages which shows preview and submit. Very simple. If you want to start a new topic, at the top of every board is New Topic icon.

• Paste links

This also is the simplest thing anyone can do. I mean there is no tutorials in copying and pasting a link.

• Embed images

This could be the only place a little guidance is need because a third party app is needed to upload images in the forum.
One simple method newbies don't use is to quote an already well formated post of a senior member and reveal the structure they used, then learn from it.

Note: You can make posts without using artificial colours, to much coloration will make people pay less attention to your post.

 As a newbie, you can post daily but limited to do.

You can not upload pictures unless you register a copper member account before you could be able to do any upload.

You can take part in  altcoin promotion but in signature, you will have to wait  till you rank up depending on the terms and conditions each manager put up as a criteria for joining their campaign.
