Do you trade altcoins during the bull run or just hodl?

Next year will be my first bull run and have just been thinking about what will be best to do when it finally arrives next year.

Do you plan on just holding till an amount you are happy with or is it a good idea to try and trade altcoins whilst they are pumping to earn even more?

Actually the main purpose of investing is to gain profit. And for gaining profit every peoples has each own strategies. Some people do short-term trading and some people do long term trading.  And for those who do short term trading, neither bull run nor bearish season is a big factor. On the other hand, those who invest or hold for the long term must wait for the bull season to sell the funds. And in the case of alt coins, you must have to sell because you can't say when a project will disappear

hopefully what you expect can happen (next year there will be a bullrun), then if I personally every bullrun happens, so I will definitely sell 50% of my total assets and I will hold another 50% for the long term, because I invest in cryptocurrency for a long term investment and not for trading, then when the bear market occurs (after the bullrun is over), then I will buy back 25% of the money I got during the bull market and I will use the another 25% of my money to enjoy my life.

I think if you start enjoying your life that quickly, the amount of money you are going to miss would be a lot, sure do enjoy your life but do it with debt if you have to, or just don't. Just to give example, if you buy bitcoin at 30k, and spend 100 dollars, when it reaches 60k, you have 200 dollars.

You sell half of it, that means 100 bucks, so when the price goes back to 30k, you have 50 dollars worth of bitcoin (your 100 at 60k became 50 bucks) and you buy back with only 50 dollars and spend the other 50 dollars. Now, this is where the difference starts, when it goes back to 60k again, you will have 100 dollars worth of investment becoming 200 dollars, but if you invested the other 50 as well, it would have been 300 dollars instead of 200. Isn't that better?

When the bull market starts, I think it'll be better if you buy all the tokens you want to buy and just hold them in your wallet. If you decide to trade, you're setting yourself up to make a mistake and when that happens you might miss the bigger profits you were meant to make by just holding. Bull market gives all coins profit and holding is better than trading.
If you're very good at trading and you believe it'll give you more profit then you can trade but for those that have no knowledge on trading or don't know how to trade very well, they can make more profits from just holding. Bull market isn't a time to start learning how to trade. If you want to learn how to trade then do that now that the market isn't pumping.
Next year been your first bull market, you have to be very careful because during bull market alot for fake projects get launched by scammers and they also duplicate already popular coins to convince people to invest in their fake project thinking it's the real project. Scammers are always looking for who to scam more in bull markets.

I don't know the present coin you're holding now but i will advise that you also try to diversify your investment on more than one cryptocurrency investment and try add more fews to reduce the cost  cost on loss abd increase your profitability.

First of all i think i am going to hold my asset what i have right now .I was sick for long time that’s why i don’t have much knowledge on current market situation .So it will be better for me to hold until i get situation totally .As much i got that you are expecting a bull run and i need to research on that after i will take the final decision what should i really need to do .

During the bullrun season of course we just trade it because if you trade you can accumulate your favorite altcoins,
so that there are more of them and sell them when they reach a new all time high, but if we choose hodl, then our altcoins are just that.
if you accumulate these altcoins and increase the number of coins, your profit will be much more.

That will be a huge mistake instead of hodling it down and wait for the bull to run next year or in the next few couple of months, you should know that holding and trading is different because even if the goal is the same, the outcome will not be the same if you will try to trade what you have during the hold season because there's never a guarantee that the price will wait for you until you're done with you goal. My advise is, separate your portfolio from the ones you want to trade and from the ones you wanted to hold.

its always good to just be patient untill bullrun but thing might be out of your expectation nowadays, considering the fact that the are lawsuit that affect the market and its influence is massive i don't think bullrun is near, but definitely there's still chance.

No one can precisely or accurately predict what might be the next movement around the market, but holding is one of the
best strategy if you deal deep with your research.

Knowing and expecting that bull run will come and will pump the value of all those assets that you are holding or chances that there might
be some that will not experience the pump, but most will bring something decent with your investment.

Just stay with how you plan or if there're adjustments, make sure you still have a plan after.

I don't think that the next bull run is in next year,I think you misunderstood things,the next year is the halving of Bitcoin somewhere in Q2 of 2024 and checking previous history all bull runs have happened almost 1.5 years after the halving passed,so in theory the next bull run should be somewhere in Q4 2025 if history is to repeat itself.

It is stupid I think to hold the altcoins in the bull run especially if the altcoins have a great increase in value which would make a nice substantial decent profit that for some people depending on their location this may as well be a life changing event.

That's true, next year is the Halving Schedule, which may usually from this Halving effect Bullrun will occur, but basically we do not know Bullrun will occur whether closer or not with Halving on Bitcoin.
But that is about Bitcoin, which when Bitcoin Bullrun is usually Altcoin only runs sideways.
And also we do not know whether Bullrun will occur in 2024/2025, but indeed if following the history of Q4 2025 is the answer.
As far as I know today the market is divided into two seasons, the Bitcoin in season and the altcoin season, the Bitcoin is already bullrun usually Altcoin Season following the movement of Bitcoin, I mean if you have Altcoin when Bitcoin Bullrun is better for you to hold it temporarily, until Bullrun Altcoin seasons, And we must take the opportunity if Bullrun is almost finished to sell the altcoin that we have, before you lose value and return to the market bearish phase.

In fact, in the case of altcoins, it is better to sell as soon as possible to gain profit in the short term. The most high risk for investment is to invest in alt coin. But if your choosing coins are good i.e. from the first tier of alt coins then I think holding is not bad idea. And hopefully you're months away from a bullrun because the bitcoin halving season is just around the corner, but I'd still tell you to keep a plan in mind for a year. Because according to analysts, the bull season is going to start around 2K24 to 2K25.

That's a great choice. The price of bitcoin is slowly increasing right now. I expect if crypto will be booming again very soon. let's wait and see what's big news that will be coming for us.

I do believe if all of altcoins will be following bitcoin to increase very soon. It has been known that if bitcoin is breaking 30k. It will stay there until the next pump will come soon.

During the bullrun season of course we just trade it because if you trade you can accumulate your favorite altcoins,
so that there are more of them and sell them when they reach a new all time high, but if we choose hodl, then our altcoins are just that.
if you accumulate these altcoins and increase the number of coins, your profit will be much more.

true trading and investing is entirely two distinguished thing, they are entirely different, someone could always trade while invests but here's the thing, it could easily disrupt their investment.
the result would be their investment become massive failure if things goes south, since trading while investing will unnecessarily impose your investment to some risk of losing money.
i'd advise to just do one thing at a time, so that your strategy will not gets disrupted by unnecessary things like that.
after all trading is definitely harder than just investing.

Everyone does a lot, it varies depending on how busy each person is, there are those who hold back until the bull market comes like me who did that. Moreover, I trade part time depending on the market situation. Also, if the market drops again, I buy more to add to my long term investment
