Do you plan on just holding till an amount you are happy with or is it a good idea to try and trade altcoins whilst they are pumping to earn even more?

Basically, investing in altcoins for bull markets and holding is very risky. Because most of the time we have seen altcoins are scams due to which people are afraid to invest in these coins. But I think there are some good coins that have high volume and potential to go well in the future that can definitely be profitable to invest in. And if all those coins can be held for a long time, then of course it is possible to get a lot of money, but you have to wait until the bull market.

Yes, very risky as we don't know what the market could be in the next few months or years of holding, there are many factors that may affect your investment, including your own knowledge about the project. If you do believe that it will rise and succeed, then it's a good call to hold, always have that time to research and carefully assess whether the project is good for long term investment or if the project is just for short term like meme which most of the time being played by pumpers and whales.

I won't call trading an easy thing even if I'm an experienced trader. Even the best traders are still struggling to maintain their positions in the market that's why it is no chill. While there can be moments that they're chill and thrilled regardless of that, it's still not an easy thing to do.

You can buy and hold any cryptocurrency of your choice like bitcoin ethereum etc. This is the advantage of holding which you can easily profit by selling again when the price rises.

This is what easy is, holding. The best strategy whether you hold bitcoin or altcoins, if you're going to hold it then it's so much better.

its always the shitcoin that does rugpull and some scams though, and differentiating real altcoin with real team compared with shitcoin is a piece of cake, most of the quality altcoin nowaday always have partnership with the like of coinbase as their investors and so on, therefore if its scam, i wouldn't concerned as long as i am sticking my investment to these project that have partnership with these popular exchange.
therefore honestly if someone is conscious enough scams and rugpull shouldn't be a concern so long they are investing in the right coin, what should be a concern is that around bullrun, usually a coin is already rising so high that i think sometime its not worth investing anymore due to the fact that the coin might have easier time dumping than pumping even though the market trend is bullrun.
if we can get some new altcoin at initial presale or even retroactive that'd be awesome but we all know how difficult that is, so the only way to trade during the bullrun is seeking coin that hasn't been increasing yet and thats gonna be rare.

We can likewise trade altcoins or hold depending on what we are interested on. I think trading can be quickly profitable that waiting for the coin we are holding to gain some profits so that we can make quick profits from the market. Those people that we see profiting and making huge profits from altcoins, what the do is to trade different coins against each other and if the price of the coin eventually goes up, they will be counting there profits in grand style. We can also follow the same pattern to earn more with less loses.

I never actively trade with multiple short term trades back & forth from crypto to fiat & vice versa. My plan has always been long term hodling & then sell years later when I am in large profit. Obviously there are so many wwys to make profit in crypto, work out what is successful for you & then stick to it. I don’t think I’d be a very good day trader.

I see investing in altcoin as another mean of gambling. This is because altcoin doesn't assure you profit no matter long research was made. Altcoin can make you rich today and still turn you to a poor man tomorrow especially when you are greedy. I only invest in altcoin with the money I can avoid to lose.

Among altcoins some meme coins present hyped so they earn novelty of individuals like that of doge coin but unlike doge most of them once pumped but it at no time show the same pumping phase. Trading with altcoins are unsafe but if they go higher then their profit is occasionally higher than that of bitcoin but one have to take the risk with minimum amount so if it escalate then profit will be bigger.

Just hold historical superior coin like that of doge, matic, BONK, Solana and most important altcoin like ethereum. If you search about altcoins then you will find that ethereum is the first priority among all other altcoins so such research can guide you about holding better coin.

When talking about holding that should be associated  with Bitcoin, idea trader trade their altcoin are the significant of any x in Price of altcoin, altcoin doesn't have holding potentials Bitcoin does. So it always advisable to trade altcoin when there is any upward trends in other to maximize opportunity of taking profits because it may dip before getting to the amount you are looking for. The point is try as much as possible to trade altcoin when necessary when there is pump, holding altcoin after seeing a pump might be a wrong approach.

For Bitcoin there is a targeted amount to which I can start selling to buy more and hold when there is a downline in price but when it comes to altcoin, there is no target amount to which I can sell I only follow the information and the upward price movement to sell. Currently the price of bitcoin is rising likewise ETH and some altcoins so the plan is to sell and buy more to hold once the price of some altcoins crashes again.

I Don't think there is anything more profitable now than the hold, cause we are surely expecting the bull run to expect many altcoins and many new ATHs, Ethereum has already began to race towards 3k and who knows what lies ahead in this bull run and I even heard some new projects are doing well.

Tradi g is a very risky practice and both profit and loss are inevitable, if you want to really stay safe then I think think the best practice is buy hold and cashout when it rises if your going for the altcoin.

I'm a bitcoin person I just stick with it and invest all my disposable funds there I see all altcoins as copy of bitcoin and no need to diversify into the same sector instead I grow my bitcoin portfolio untill its very high then I go for some other investment like land and properties, who knows .

Altcoins usually boom after bitcoin appreciates a lot during a bull run period and after BTC stabilizes (after the halving), the flow of capital starts moving towards altcoins, thus starting the altcoin season.

I never had many altcoins and the ones I did have, I held and didn't have significant returns or losses, after all, it was money I was willing to lose.

But in this bull run I intend to do something different, buy altcoins with good fundamentals and that are in an upward trend and hold them until the end of 2025, but to do that, I'll have to do a lot of research and watch some videos.

My personal typical investment is hodl. I will look for some crypto narratives that are currently hype or layer 1 tokens that still have the potential to rise 2-4x and then sell them. That's typical. Logically right, you should sell when you already achieved your goals, there's no sense of keeping your assets as there's no assurance that the market will continue to pump, as long as you already earned the target amount it's best to let it go and be happy with your earnings, greediness most of the time is the reason why you'll be left behind and instead of making decent profits you'll ends up with regrets as you keep trying to maximize your profits and it's too late to realize that the market already done and it's start to dump down and suck all the profits that you should have if you take it when it's still in positive side.
