I mean if you are gelling just gamble because you have no other option I don't think that's smart nor healthy for you.  I would accumulate and just wait to see what happens within your country.  I can't see crypto being banned long term anywhere otherwise your country will be financially left behind.  That's the best part of crypto is they can't control what you do with it so you might as well keep building your stack.
Very well said mate, I've always said it that, crypto investors who sell off their crypto holdings all because the country they live in banned crypto, do not have sense.

Nigeria, my dear country have banned crypto transactions across the entire country, and even asked banks to freeze any account found to be involved in crypto, this ban has been in place for more than 2 years now, and here we are, still buying, selling, accumulating crypto, and most times when in need of cash, I still sell some of my crypto, convert the money to fiat and withdraw to my bank account..
A ban is only effective is the people are willing to obey it, a government can not arrest and prosecute the entire citizens of country, not possible.

Personally, it will change nothing because I have been gambling casually through online and land casino (depends on my mood) even before I met bitcoin. It's just that cryptocurrency gave me a whole lot of options when I'm betting towards online casinos, especially during Covid-19 as I have no other things to do at that time aside from my job that changed to a "work from home setting". So, if my government will ban btc, I will always go back to the use of fiat.
This is what happened to me as well. Especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, I was working online and doing most of my activities virtually including gambling. Even if my country decides to ban crypto, it wouldn't make much of a difference since most people here gamble using fiat money and rarely with crypto. If that happens, I'll simply use fiat I suppose. I would exchange my crypto for fiat and then use it for gambling.

I don't think it will change my gambling spending. My gambling spending depends on my current financial situation and my available time because there are times when I am very busy. So if ever bitcoin and altcoins are going to get banned in my country, I will continue to hold them and of course, accumulate them. Generally, there are more crypto adoptions rather than more countries banning them. Even China could change its stance given the current situation in Hongkong wherein it is now accepting and even inviting crypto firms.

And there are always the peer to peer transactions everywhere. Bitcoin and crypto demand are getting high so I won't be surprised if the rate becomes even more higher in a country where it is banned. Plus if ever a ban happens in a democratic and open country like mine, it won't take that long before the authorities will reconsider accepting them again otherwise it will be left behind.

while your country plans to ban crypto trading but online gambling legal, you'll gonna to decide what to do with coins.  would you go play your coins to accumulate or just withdraw and wait for the government to change stance?  no other option.
All Depends on what I'm periodically inclined with...if I'm a gambler, then most definitely, that'd be the next choice of action..If not, then I'll try as much as I can to seek other operational alternatives to be able to service my coin when due.
But your question sounds very much threatening - if not for the fact that I'm current enough to be taken in awe, I'd Begin to fret profusely in the summertime...lol
You rather meant this to be an assumption right? But you actually made the whole goddam scenario look real.. again, that's misinformation!

Im not really that much of a gambler but i do have some experience on playing on a casino but only on a certain amount but that only happened once because i dont really like the ambiance or simply that im just
Claustrophobic type of person who doesnt really like on joining or seeing lots of people on an enclosed space. This is why i do much prefer on playing online and if ever the country would be deciding that they would really be banning out gambling then you could always be having the option. If ever they would ban online gambling then you could make use of VPN, if they would tend to ban physical then you can simply go with online.
This is why its not really that something that could totally be able to ban out if ever the government would really be planning on doing so. Play according into things which you do know on whats good and whats bad for you.

Why would anyone play more on a Bitcoin casino when the law of the land is planning to ban Bitcoin? In such a situation, it is better to keep holding them in a non-custodial wallet until the government changes the decision or you find another way to continue gambling. I do not agree with going against the law as if caught it will cause serious repercussions to you and your family. If you still want to gamble then use local fiat on an online casino to feed your addiction. I would not want to take in stupid risk and destroy my present, I will always find alternate ways to continue with what I was doing before the ban.

I'm not a lawyer, but I believe that bitcoin is a currency, so if a government bans bitcoin in your country, then that means that people in that country can't keep withdrawing bitcoin to their country, and they can't put money in the country either. bank to buy bitcoin, but that's only if it's a bank in that country, but people from that country can use their bitcoin to play in the casino, that's because the government hasn't banned online casinos and online casinos are in another jurisdiction, so there's no problem for people from the country that banned bitcoin to play in casinos using their bitcoins

Another very important thing is that, most of the time, this attitude of banning bitcoin in a country is something ridiculous, because those countries that have this behavior belong to ruling regimes, so people from those countries will not comply with such a meaningless measure, it would make sense if the government was banning something that harms people, but bitcoin does not harm anyone, so this type of measure makes no sense. if someone asked such governments: how many people in your country has bitcoin harmed? I guarantee the people in the government don't know

That's exactly how it should be, or even if someone can't use fiat for gambling as there might not be land-based casinos available around them, they can simply just use the same amount of Bitcoins that they used to use before their government had banned Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies, I see no sense in gambling all your Bitcoins away only because of a ban, one can always keep them somewhere safe and use them later in their life when the ban might be left or you might be in another country.

So personally, I would never gamble all my Bitcoins just because my government has banned Bitcoin but I would hold them in a non-custodial wallet and keep them for as long as I can because maybe some day in the future, I get to use them somewhere that might benefit me in some way.

Many people nowadays like to play online gambling because they can hide their identity, especially if they play gambling using crypto. After all, that means they can play gambling anonymously. If the government prohibits gambling for its citizens, you better not violate it because they can track down their citizens who often gamble. And even though you can use a VPN, the government can still find out, but now many casinos prohibit VPNs, so you must be careful if you plan to use a VPN. Maybe you should be able to find a casino that still allows its users to use a VPN, so you shouldn't have a problem unless your government tries hard to find its gambling citizens.

That's true, but I don't think the government or even the casino care with small gamblers who broke their rules.

For the casino side, they might still allow gambler to use VPN even though they've stated in their TOS for not using VPN during gambling. But as long as the gambler is losing money, it will make the casino get benefit.

While the government, catching someone need to process many thing, if it's small gamblers, they will not get any benefit since they can't bribe the police.

The government or the casinos don't care about small gamblers because the small gamblers don't win much money. And even if the little gambler won some money, it wouldn't be as much as the other gamblers. So the casinos don't pay much attention to the little gamblers, but if one day they manage to win big money, the casinos will start checking their accounts to see if there is any suspicion that they are cheating.

And when gamblers start to win big money using VPNs, casinos can ask them for proof by starting to ask them to do KYC. This will be a problem for gamblers because some of them cannot do KYC or even refuse it.

or will accuse them of breaking TOS eg using VPN. this always ends up a zucker for the casino player when they lose while using VPN its just fine but winning big will bring issues to their account. we have seen accusations before and most of the time casino wins.

i was just thinking of playing it all win or lose just gamble it all after all the government may impose penalties on those holders if caught. maybe one could agree to the thought.

Yes, it would be easy for casinos to accuse their members of violating the TOS and impose penalties such as temporarily blocking their accounts or not being able to withdraw their money within a certain period. Perhaps playing everything to win or lose is doable as long as we can accept what will happen after we use the money. But most people will not be able to accept the result if it is a loss and start accusing the casino of cheating when they are the ones who are cheating.

It would be so unwise to expend my money on gambling as an alternative just because the government propose to ban crypto operations in the country. It's an incontrovertible fact that reasons as this is what makes non-custodial wallets of a necessity that I can push a good amount of my funds to my wallet and hodl as long as necessary stead of lavishing it on gambling under the idea of doubling it. Only a little amount I can leave for my gambling just to keep up with the little fun I derive from gambling same time trying to make a win.

I wouldn't do that.

You can easily keep bitcoin on your hardware wallet or with a desktop wallet while keeping the private keys/seeds of it written unknown by the government.

If you've got some extra money to flee and go outside the country so that you can sell those Bitcoins and have it back again in your country, that's a better thing to do.

But anyway, if you think that it's best to just gamble and lose your precious bitcoins because the government is about to ban it. That's your choice.

So personally, I would never gamble all my Bitcoins just because my government has banned Bitcoin but I would hold them in a non-custodial wallet and keep them for as long as I can because maybe some day in the future, I get to use them somewhere that might benefit me in some way.

There is no sense in gambling all the funds inside our wallets just because the government are planning to ban bitcoin and the use of other cryptocurrency, if that is what the people are thinking, I don't doubt why they are losing frequently because they have that kind of mindset. We always have a choice even though our own government is banning the existence of bitcoin, we can still go back to the basic and gamble like nothing happened.

Such a mindset is indeed very bad for spending the entire contents of the wallet because of something that makes gamblers unable to control themselves and even though even if the government bans bitcoin or crypto there are still other ways to keep gambling responsibly as discussed by some people here by moving to gambling use fiats.
Maybe it's not as interesting as betting using bitcoin but at least you can still continue gambling but don't have to use large amounts.

No doubt why they are feeling unlucky because they are treating the government's move to ban the bitcoin as if it's already the end of the world where they feel the urge to pour all their remaining resources in one go while they can still play because in the following days and months, all of it will change.

What they don't see is the other side, where there are still plenty of things to do from those remaining coins they have. But since they are a gambler and just thinking about their habits, I see why they have a poor decision making.

On the time that you do see that government is really having those kind of restrictions already then why would really be trying out to force on playing if you do see that its being banned on your country?
In this case then you would really be avoiding on playing for you to have that trying to avoid trouble and consequences on which it is really that a normal approach. This is on the time that you would really be considering
on playing on online casinos which it is really that hard to be traced up and this is why users would easily be playing out gambling without being traced or being caught. There are lots of various ways for someone to be able to play specially online. If fiat casinos online had been banned then you could easily switch up on crypto based ones on which you could really be having an options. In overall, banning would be useless
and in todays accessibility then it would really be that so easy to bypass out these kind of restrictions if ever this one would be pushed through.

They must learn how to properly store bitcoins and not be bothered by the government. The use of a hardware wallet is the most secure storage without third parties and you alone have full control. Those who sell bitcoins out of fear that bitcoin regulations ban bitcoin entirely will certainly not have a future advantage when those regulations change. just need to see and wait how bitcoin will be received in the future without strict regulation.
