I agree if we want to last longer in gambling while still having sanity, we need to limit ourselves.  After all self-control is the pill against gambling addiction.  Anyway, I also experience the same thing, initially winning but ending up losing my bankroll.  It happened recently, I deposited around $30 in a casino, and I made it grow to $200+, sadly greed hits me and wanting to win more so I raise my wagering bet which ends up in faster bankroll depletion.  Although my gambling session that day ends up losing my bankroll, I didn't feel any regret even though I lost that $200+ which should have been a pure profit if I withdraw since I always consider my session as a lost, it will only be a bonus if I happen to withdraw a larger amount.  With this kind of thinking, I gamble with less pressure and frustration.
