In any case, KYC shouldn't be questioned, it's a very reliable form of verification to ensure that law enforcements can get a hold of you when shit hits the fan, and it's also a form of customer protection as a company that requires KYC is obliged to work in close relations with their respective government, if things don't go well for you, you can sue them in court and have them pay you for reparations.
That should be the case but in some cases, casinos are declining the KYC because they cannot establish the identity how can it be possible if you are the one playing and you submit all your documents then you are declined? It's hard to accept for a player if he can't get his account verified even though all the documents needed are already submitted. I already did KYC on government institutions and some sites and they accept it because it's really me and all the documents they requested are all submitted then how come casinos cannot? This is quite one of the terrible that will happen of a gambler who entered a casino platform here in the crypto gambling industry that after we gave our important documents to them, only to find out in the end that we were just declined. The difficult thing here is that we have already declined to what they want and they still know and hold our true identity. So the risk of this is that we are not sure if it can be used in a bad way at the moment that the only thing we can do is pray that it is not used in a bad way.

Everything comes back to faith and trust because if there isn't that it will be difficult to be sure that we give our KYC documents to the casino but it's not safe, that's the importance of doing research, because I'm sure there are casinos that many people can actually trust, it's just that maybe we are still hesitant to use trust in casinos that may be like new or small casinos. I also will never give my documents and KYC to a new casino let alone a small casino because I know it won't be safe to do that, but I only give my documents and KYC to big casinos where they are the top casinos and will always be an option to strengthen trust We know that they can take good care of our documents, there is no need to discuss KYC at the casino, even government sites that hold our information data can be hacked and leaked, so this is just a matter of trust, even though it's not completely safe.

Call it whatever you want but you will only understand if you plan to open your own casino one day, it's like running a crypto exchange illegally and the SEC bouncing on you for running an illegal exchange, KYC is compulsory for every legal online casinos or else they are at a greater risk themselves, instead of thinking that they are trying to scam people using KYC try finding out why they want people to verify their ID first before they withdraw their funds.
If you don't want to see KYC requirements and you want to keep gambling, find online casinos that don't require KYC and make sure they made the statement on their ToS themselves because many won't talk about KYC requirements until you manage to win some money first.
If this is why you think they can't be trusted, I am on your side too, but before using any online casino you need to find answers yourself, presumably from other users on this forum.

If you follow their guidelines and if you play in important well reputable casinos who have a huge turnover of millions of dollars in a year then they will never ever decline your documents until there is something terribly wrong with the documents provided. I have given my ID card and proof of address plus utility bill to two of the most prestigious ones and they verified my account in less than 30 minutes,I call this a very fast time and the department dealing with KYC to be one of the best out there. If you play in less well known casinos I would never suggest you verify KYC in them as who knows who is behind their team.

That's not really the case because it doesn't mean that if we trust them our money, we should also trust them with our personal information as we are not that blind to know what would be the repercussions if our information will leak just because the platform's firewall is not that thick enough to keep away the hackers that wanted to seek some sensitive information for them to sell it in deep web. You wouldn't want that to happen, right?

A casino that refuses valid documents from us is probably a scam casino because if we use those documents to verify other sites and they accept them fine, it should also be fine to verify on other sites, including the casino. I only think that way because the document is our personal and original property. So it's very strange if the casino refuses it and instead asks for other documents besides verifying our gambling account. That's why we must find a casino that won't do that. Many other casinos still accept our documents and verify them properly so that our gambling account will be verified. But I don't think we need to continue if we have already submitted documents to the casino and they refuse it and instead ask for other documents. Usually, the casino suspects something, so they ask us to send other documents.

That's one of the drawbacks when we do KYC and a lot of people who are on anonymous forums don't want to be seen as having a KYC obligation. But when anyone who doesn't want to do KYC, then you should look for a gambling site that doesn't require it, but allows ToS so that when we get a big win at gambling there is no account blocking caused by using a VPN, this is important to note so you can withdraw money on victory in the gambling that you play. Do a study before deciding to use KYC or non-KYC sites, anyone has the right to keep their identity confidential because we never know how our data will be used by irresponsible people and there will be many consequences if this is allowed to happen and not properly guarded.

Usually these customers make large deposits or even want to withdraw big wins from the casino, so the casino requires data that is truly genuine. This is all done because it seems that the casino also wants to know that money with large amounts of money deposited by customers is real money that belongs to itself, not the result of money laundering and the casino also has the right to ask for other documents because if the customer wins big and the withdrawal is confirmed without any checks would harm the casino itself. Because if the customer comes from a country where gambling is prohibited, of course this will be a problem for the casino too.

There is not only one legal document, and there are several that are owned by everyone, so it is only natural that casinos ask for other documents that are different from casinos out there. Assuming the casino is fraudulent just because they ask for different documents is unethical in my opinion as that would give rise to some debate unless it is proven the casino has committed fraud. I have used more than 1 casino so far and some that I have provided verification also with different documents but still valid documents that I have. Yes, if you really feel suspicious or don't trust the casino, then it's better to use another casino, which is easier to verify accounts.

true and unfortunately many people do not think about it, with so many casinos that exist and that are being created every day, people are creating accounts in many casinos, and because of that they are forced to have to kyc in many casinos, so they have to run the risk of exposing their documents in many casinos, and most of the time they are recent casinos that only have a few days of activity and that easily become scam and disappear, so we have to ask ourselves what happens to people's documents when a casino becomes scam and disappears
I assume that the person's documents are sold, scammers will always do everything to earn money in an easy and dishonest way, if a thief makes an offer to scammers for the casino scammer to sell customer data, the scammer will not refuse this offer, it will sell everything to criminals, that's why we have to be very careful with very new casinos, they can be created by scammers who intend to steal people's money and data and sell on the black market
IMO, someone who is experienced in gambling will definitely not easily send KYC to a casino that is not known before and someone who is experienced will always avoid sending KYC at a new casino and prefer to create an account at a popular casino that already has a good reputation. I doubt there are many gamblers who are willing to send KYC at a new casino that doesn't have much traffic yet. because they won't easily believe anything new casino has to offer even if the promotional offer is $100 for KYC only and I would also avoid this.

Whether we like to admit it or not, the KYC verification is here to stay. Infact, if you are new and want to partake of the online space to earn a living or do business, be sure to be asked for verification on almost any apps you download or install for usage. Am confident in the reliability of the KYC system, I don't have a choice if I want my coins to be safe, if I want to trade freely and have more opportunities too.
There is the scare of hackers or companies stealing users data/information, but we don't always want to be reminded of it, that's why it is always adviced to after using KYC, set two factor authentication, set passwords, use hardware wallet, keep private keys and phrases safe and tucked away.

I can trust my money to the casino where I play, but I do not trust their system of collecting and storing personal information. I trust the cryptocurrency wallet I use, but I can't trust the channel through which my personal data is transmitted. And that's fine when you've seen more than one major leak of personal data. I'm not a supporter of KYC either, but if there's $1000 on the line, I'll be forced to go through that procedure. It seems to me that in the future the KYC procedure will be as familiar as the signature on the receipt when receiving cash from the bank operator.

Well, it's tricky to deposit in some casinos that have that "optional KYC" if you are not ready to complete it if needed. I am the one who doesn't like KYC, and I will avoid it whenever I can, but in case of some problem with "taking the money out of the casino" I am ready to complete the KYC procedure.
I guess if someone is confident to deposit and play in some casino should be comfortable with the KYC system as well. Especially if some higher amounts are in question... you trust them with your money why shouldn't you trust them with some additional info?
I can trust my money to the casino where I play, but I do not trust their system of collecting and storing personal information. I trust the cryptocurrency wallet I use, but I can't trust the channel through which my personal data is transmitted. And that's fine when you've seen more than one major leak of personal data. I'm not a supporter of KYC either, but if there's $1000 on the line, I'll be forced to go through that procedure. It seems to me that in the future the KYC procedure will be as familiar as the signature on the receipt when receiving cash from the bank operator. Me neither, but I only give my identification to some of the casinos that I always play with , sometimes I blurred some parts of my identification but sometimes it fails they did not accept but all in all do not share it with casinos that has less reputation, KYC is need in casinos now unlike before we should obey it but we should be extra careful.

I dont trust KYC system at all. Mainly because documents are widely available on the dark market, thus making it stupid to ask to prove your «real identity», secondly, because based on sent documents (pictures and data), it is impossible to tell what kind of person is. Smiling and attractive person on a photo, that pays all the utility bill in time can be a real scammer IRL.

This is the most hated thing about KYC, and then the challenge remain whether your information is really deleted from their end or not. I wish there are actual regulatory bodies who review this casinoa regarding personal information because under the law, there is a limit to where users information are supposed to confined but I'm very confident that as a long as it's a cooperate company that is responsible for this verification, there are always room for abuse of opportunity and selling of users information. If my basic information and IP address is not enough to allow me gamble free, I will quit using the betting site, no further documents will be released to them from my end.

Honestly I am a bit hesitant on the reliability of the KYC system since we never knew if the party conducting the KYC has high security that can resist hacks and avoid data leaks. It is like blindly trusting our identities to a company that we don't know the credibility. As much as possible I do not want to undergo KYC but we have no choice but to follow the rule since we are in need to use their platform or in need to be able to withdraw a huge amount of money pending on the platform.

You describe the weakness of the system, but the casino will probably realize that the KYC documents uploaded by customers are not theirs. It might not be as fast as it could be, but when a customer has trouble with a withdrawal, then all may be revealed. After all, KYC in casinos is a way for the government to expect casinos not to be used as a means of money laundering, but the negative impact even outweighs the positive impact. Privacy concerns are the most obvious, that's because some casinos are unable to keep their customer data from leaking to third parties.

There is no other choice but to comply with the rules for sending KYC at a reputable casino and there is nothing wrong with us trying to trust the casino because KYC has now become a common part of big gambling even outside of gambling KYC has become a trend that is spreading all over the world. and we can not deny this all. The most important thing is don't easily share KYC, always check that this site is really safe.[/left]

Privacy concerns are the most obvious, that's because some casinos are unable to keep their customer data from leaking to third parties. Reading from the responses here, I guess you can say that most of where the concern comes from is the ability of the platforms to handle sensitive data. Not all of these gambling platforms can really provide security to the tons of KYC documents they are receiving from their users, and not all of these platforms intend to really submit these data - some might even be fishing these documents themselves and sell it online, who knows. The system in itself is really weak and there are tons of angles in which it can be attacked, but there aren't any workarounds to it unfortunately.
