Borussia Dortmund eliminated French Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in the semifinal round by winning 2-0 on aggregate yesterday to advance to the UEFA Champions League final. Dortmund who won the first leg 1-0 with Niclas Fullkrug's goal in Germany on May 1, won the second leg match with a header by German defender Mats Hummels in the 50th minute at Parc Des Princes.  PSG's four goal attempts came back from the crossbar. Also Dortmund claimed their only Champions League trophy in 1997.

I'm kicking myself for not making a small bet on Borussia to win, when the odds were at something like x25.0.
Great win by the Dortmund team, they might not be doing that great in the Bundeliga (currently occupying 5th place), but if they manage to win the UCL I'm sure their fans will forgive them. It would be their second time to win the UCL Cup, the first time was in 1997, so quite a long time ago.

As for the game itself, PSG was extremely unlucky, I think they had like 4 shots that went off the post/cross-bar, but it's fair to say that the Dortmund's win is fully deserved.

To be honest, Dortmund performed well in yesterday's match, I didn’t expect them to perform with such confidence, Dortmund played a defensive game yesterday and also played a counterattack yesterday, you can see that PSG had 30 shots on target and no goals in the match, although PSG dominated the game against Dortmund but Dortmund use the opportunity they have to win yesterday, I said it before the game, I said if Dortmund wants to win against PSG they need to score another goal so that they can make PSG weak in the game and if you look at the match you will notice that after Dortmund score goal PSG players performance look somehow and they want to fight back but Dortmund have to use the opportunity to win and secure 2 goals ahead of them.

PSG doesn't look like a champions league winning club and if it weren't for Araujo's mistake, they wouldn't have reached this stage because they only focused on individuality and speed. Football is a game of team and not an individual game, you win together and also lose together but PSG is trying to build a team around a single person. I think they had a decent season for reaching this stage but there is a room for improvement next season.

Dortmund played tactically, they new they had the lead already and defended really good in the match. I think PSG started having bad days in the semifinal starting from the first leg, every shot played by PSG always hit the post, this is unlucky because PSG played an amazing game, but the victory wasn't on their side. I thought they would have a chance to qualify for the final round because they're capable of winning the game. However, Dortmund didn't appear as some of us imagined, their defense looked very strong from the first half of the game. Kudos to Dortmund goalkeeper Gregor Kobel, he deserves to be praised since he did what the goalkeeper needed to do when the defense looked tired at the end of the game. He saved a lot of shots from PSG to equalize the goal, I believe if it were not for him Dortmund would have conceded more than three goals starting from the first leg.

The only team that can stop Dortmund from winning the Champions League is Real Madrid because the last time they lost to Bayern Munich in 2013 in the final, I don't think their performance is good this way. and who told you mbape had no impact in the match? Except you didn't watch the march or you're just just being sentimental if not every one knows that mbape gave in his all throughout the game but they were just unlucky to have missed almost all the chances they hard. We can't deny the fact that Dortmund did what was expected of them which is to defend the one goal advantage they hard from the first half and they did it all too well and were even lucky to get another goal. Maybe if we are considering a player that played below expectation we should be talking about dembele cause he missed a lot of clear chances and wasn't clinical enough in his square play. If he was calm enough to connecting well with his passes from the wing then PSG would have hard more chances and possibly convert them into goal.

Dortmund deserve the win, they played well and surely deserve to be in the champions league finals and that's for sure. Now, it's now left for real Madrid to understand the task that's ahead of them and put in every effort they have to put into today's game and ensure that they are able to defeat Bayern munich. with their match ending in defeat against Dortmund, it was the same as in the first leg, which annoyed me, in PSG's match with Dortmund PSG's attacks very often hit the post or crossbar, until I thought it was PSG's match with the goal post. How annoyed I was when I saw PSG attacks continuously hitting the goal post and that made me annoyed. I admit that PSG's performance was good, but I just think they were unlucky so they couldn't score in the first or second leg.

Yesterday was a happy day for Dortmund because it has been a while since they played in the Champions League, this is about 11 years since they played in the Champions League final and they have the chance to play this season, Dortmund is going to face Bayern Munich or Real Madrid, anyone that win in today match, many people are assuming that Bayern Munich can win and they can play against Dortmund so that what happened 11 years ago will repeat itself but they should remember that Bayern is playing in Real Madrid stadium and we know that Real Madrid are not easy to defeat in their stadium.

PSG really unlucky especially when you consider the number of their balls that hit the bar, Psg just needed a goal to get the momentum to turn things around but that never showed instead Dortmund got the goal, being able to win PSG home and away is an applause to Dortmund though they were having luck on their side but what can I say its football. I actually wonder how many really place a bet on Dortmund to win both home and also away, Is good to see them in the final after 11 years, less see if luck and other factors will help them to win the Champions league.
