That was so poor performance portrayed by the Red Devils. So basically what Erik Ten Hag and his players are trying to send as message is, they can't defend their territory when they're down by one player? But I've seen teams defend to the very last core and still accumulates three points, not to talk of Manchester United that was already leading 2 nil and couldn't hold on because all of them became weak. That's definitely not how to run an entire squad, Erik Ten Hag should come up with new plan because it seems the primary one is not effective enough to gather a win for the club.

Actually, Man United played very well in the match, they decreased their performance after losing 1 player. If there was no red card, I no doubt Man United will win the match easily. For me, Man United was only unlucky, Ten Hag must never expect one of Man United players to get a red card. Unfortunately, Ten Hag couldn't switch the tactic with a proper one. Ideally, when they lost 1 player, they must play more defensively and be patient to keep the ball possessions. Only focus on planning for the scheme of a counter-attack strategy. But I think Ten Hag isn't very familiar with a counter attack strategy, that makes him to stay with the usual tactic used  by Man United.

I agree that this year there isn't this one team that everybody believes will win the Champions League. Manchester City is always a favorite, but compared to last season they are not playing as perfectly. Real Madrid has very strong games, but sometimes also underperform. It's difficult to compare teams based on their performances in the domestic leagues, but Inter Milan is doing very well and could once again make it into the final and perhaps win it this year. Bayern Munich is erratic and some of the other big favorites, too.

An impressive performance in the domestic league may not necessarily provide good results in the Champions League because the two competitions are very different. It will be very difficult to predict which team will emerge as champions in the Champions League because the competition has only just started in the group phase and there are other big matches that they have to go through after the group stage ends. Inter Milan are having a good season in Serie A, but in the Champions League they may not necessarily be able to reach the final because many other teams are quite strong this season with equal quality players in all positions.

If I could choose then I would like to see Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Manchester City playing in the final because the three teams have evenly distributed players in the squad. So the opportunities for these three teams will be much greater than for other clubs and I also see that their performance in the group phase is still quite strong even though the opponents they face are a little easier.

Of course there is no team "necessarily" reaching the final because of their performances in the domestic league, I would never say that. I would still argue that it can be an indicator, but there are extreme exceptions like we have seen with Sevilla in the Europa League. But I am quite sure that if we look at all title winners from the past, the majority that won international titles also played a strong season in their home leagues. I said the majority, before anyone says that I said something like "every time".

This unpredictability factor is always inherent in these international competitions as players can show different performances out of a sudden.

I also find it difficult to say that one of the top teams played a bad Champions League season when they play against each other in the round of 16 or quarterfinals. I mean if it is Real Madrid vs. Manchester City in the quarterfinals, one of those two teams inevitably has to leave the competition, but does it mean that the loser also played a bad Champions League season? One team has to go, so a lot depends on the drawings as well.

There is a difference when you see that Manchester City last season had to beat Bayern Munich and Real Madrid whereas Inter Milan had to beat Benfica and AC Milan.

From the current standing we do know that if dortmund needs only another win to lock a spot in the top 16. I think that dortmund will not be missing an opportunity. It was able winning against newcastle two times in a row.
Dortmund will be collecting 10 points and it will be int he safe zone as the club who is now below it will not able to replace dortmund even though if the position of dortmund will be at the second place.

Dortmund needs another three points to do that. It's likely terzic will be going all in. As long as dortmund will be winning the game and that's enough. Newcastle and acmilan are in horrible situations.

Indeed, it is only in Group F where all clubs still have the same opportunities. Because the difference in points is not that big, it is still possible for group F to happen. And as you said, even Newcastle still has a chance to qualify if they win the remaining matches and hope that the other teams don't get maximum points.

PSG dependence on Mbappe goals will be a concern for their opponents, so PSG tactics will be easier to predict if they don't improve their attack line evenly. PSG players are a little independent, they have to focus on supplying the ball to Mbappe in any situation. I'm afraid that if Enrique makes this a permanent tactic, there will have to be other options that can manipulate the opponent's attention. Apart from the opponent's focus on blocking Mbappe movements, that is where Dembele and Kolo role is more dominant.

As long as newcastle know how to prevent mbappe and i think PSG may also lose a chance to be qualified for thelast 16. Anyone is in curiosity to know which club that will be qualified for the last 16. Any clubs in the group have the same chance to be qualified but this totally depends on the how bad or good their performance are. Newcastle and acmilan became the teams with lowest chances to be qualified for the last 16. I think that if anyone is also trying to bet on these matches with a lot of doubtness. It's caused by any clubs in this group were equal. It's pretty hard to know which team that may go to the last 16. Any surprises can come from newcastle and acmilan.
I would rather than pick save bet like double chance in these matches. The result is very hard to predict at this moment as any clubs have same chances.

It is quite hard to predict who will qualify from this group because it is still open for all four clubs. What I see is that any of these clubs that take their matches very serious and didn't accept to be defeated, stand a better chance of qualifying than the rest. Moreover, football is full of surprises and before you know it the least expected club will qualify. I think that Milan and PSG needs to step up their game if they really want to qualify to the round of 16. Newcastle lack champions league experience and I guess that is what is affecting them.

According to Opta Analyst, currently Manchester City remains the favorite to win the Champions League with a 32.29% chance, followed by Bayern Munich and Real Madrid below with quite a large margin. In fact, it is natural to favor Manchester City to win the Champions League title again this season considering that they still have the same squad depth as before and Pep Guardiola even continues to update his squad by recruiting several other talented players.

On the other hand, Bayern Munich is indeed a bit of a threat after they managed to acquire the services of Harry Kane since last summer and this is proven by the productivity of goals scored by the English player. However, what is quite surprising is that Real Madrid is still included in the top 3, even though they don't have a great striker for scoring goals and mostly they only rely on the magic of Jude Bellingham, Vini and Rodrygo to score goals. Apart from all that, if Manchester City can win this title back to back it will be a good record. Even if Bayern Munich wins this title, it will certainly be a good record after the last time they won it in 2020 and it would also be the first champions league title for Harry Kane. However, if Real Madrid can win the title this season without a mature striker, of course that will be the result obtained thanks to the winning mentality they have had so far.

Damn, my focus was going to the manchester united. It's quite interesting to see how MU has zero chance to be on the first. Look at manchester united. It has the lowest chance to go to the 16 stage. Manchester united is also has biggest probability to finish at the 4th place as well.

In my opinion, the chances of Bayern Munich and Real Madrid are quite fair because these two teams have several things that they can bring to win the Champions League. For Manchester City the real test is when they enter the quarter finals to the semifinals and if they can advance to the final round it is likely they will still be champions again. But on the other hand, Real Madrid is still a worthy candidate to win, but they can do that if Manchester City is eliminated first.

I'm not sure about Manchester United's current abilities, in my opinion they are not ready to play in the UCL, it's not convincing to see Manchester United win against Galatasaray at home and also against Munich, it looks like that won't be possible especially seeing them win in two games remaining in group A, but of course Manchester United will still be a difficult opponent for Galatasaray and Munich even though their chances of qualifying are very slim.

Ten Hag has not been able to get his players to play well in UCL matches so people think that Manchester United is really not ready to be in the UCL, I also think they should focus more on the EPL in the domestic league rather than the UCL, because it is clear that they still have a lot to overhaul in their squad so that they can become a club that is truly ready for the UCL.

This is really important point to understand which is missing by many members as they are feeling domestic leagues have impact on teams performance into Champions League mostly teams are having good run in domestic league, but sadly they are missing this trick into Champions League with many are awful into domestic league but having good achievements into UEFA events which bring them to the top.

Currently, we still have long way to go for the final destination but currently few teams are giving their best and have enough chance for the staying at the top for the title race specially Bayern Munich, Manchester City and Real Madrid are hot favorite and Inter Milan can create another surprising entry into last fours as they have done in last season, so things are not clear as we can talk about better in mid-February which will give better updates about teams performance.

They have shown that Newcastle can play well  against big  teams. So it cannot be said that there is  no possibility of the team playing in  the round of 16 yet. Newcastle team  can surprise us all. Newcastle won by a  big margin against PSG. And none of us expected  them to put up such a good performance against PSG. The future  of these two teams depends on the  upcoming PSG vs Newcastle match. The team  that wins this match will  advance in the race to the Round of 16. PSG's performance is still erratic. This is why the match is likely to be competitive. Even PSG is likely to lose.

Despite getting an unexpected loss against Lens Arsenal are still going on nicely in the group stage. I assume we can say that they have qualified for 1/8 finals already. They would probably make it there as 1st as well. I really liked their performance against Sevilla the last time. They were in full control. However this might not be a very healthy example to take into consideration to believe in Arsenal for next stages.

They have shown some inconsistencies during the season. If we see that in bigger matches in the Champions League then they could say goodbye early to the tournament.

I'm sorry for the Milan fans but I think that sooner or later they will have to abandon watching the Champions League matches and find another hobby since I think that Milan will exit the competition.
