You have idea of friendly matching betting but you missed it somewhere and I also think that is why Op also lost. Friendly match betting is in two types.
1. Nations friendlies
2. Club friendlies
While Nations friendlies always most times end in draw or under 2.5 goals,
Club friendlies end in win and over 2.5 goals. This is the key to succeed in friendly matches bet and it had worked for some times and I am sure it will continue to work.

You are correct, but also wrong. You are correct that 30% to 40% of international friendly matches are under 2.5 goals, but most of the matches are not ending in draw. I have preferred to bet on clubs, not countries. Even I do prefer to bet on club leagues and cup, I do not bet on country leagues like UEFA national league and others like world cup. But as I check what you are saying that it is most of the time under 2.5, that is correct, but over 95% of the recent played friendly international matches were won.

We are talking about football here which can be unpredictable in most cases especially in friendly matches. How long have you studied this countries matches recently,you can use their world cup performance to predict a friendly match because no country will play on  high level compared to how they played in the world cup. Not taking the match serious and maybe not all the best players of those countries that will be in attendance on the match day. Football is full of surprises,even the weakest team can win the best team.

I like betting on friendly matches. But mostly on club matches instead of national teams. In this match you mostly play on goals over or both teams to score. Usually teams go with first squad in first half then in second one with second squad and this can cause a lot of goals in this matches. Plus now everyone is tired so you need to be careful when betting on national teams especially on moneylines.

Im feeling the same. I just avoid to deal with the friendly match. Club is a bit easy to predict, unlike the nation. It's not even worthy to predict it.I refrain myself to take a part on friendly match.

Sometimes when you will be seen there are two nations will be doing friendly match and you can easily predict if A can win over B caused by A has a very good reputation and a lot of professional players rather than B.

You can pick A to win easily against B but surprisingly if A was not playing seriously against B and A lose. Countries are very hard to predict.

Seriously, it is always hard to predict friendly matches both club teams and also country teams friendly matches. I have bet on friendly matches many times, and I always lose my bet, despite I don't always pick more than two matches, which I always believe will win.

Teams doing friendly matches are hardly serious, especially those strong teams with classic squads, because many of their key players don't want to get injured easily. So they hardly put all their efforts into playing friends with weak teams that don't have any good records.

The best is to avoid staking friendly matches unless someone will just be continue losing money on the matches. Generally, predicting football matches is not easy and is based on luck, but predicting competitions matches is easier than predicting friendly matches.

Well, they understood that this was a friendly match so they did their best to restrain their skills and make the game as enjoyable as possible. Even though they had a chance to win, they didn't want their opponent to be embarrassed and create an unfriendly aura. I don't see the logic from betting on friendly matches when there's nothing much at stake for these "powerhouse" footballing countries. Losing is a definitely a no-no but a draw against any team isn't that bad so don't expect them put that same level of effort to win. I would rather bet during qualification matches since they have something to really compete for.

I always avoid betting on these matches with nothing on the line because you can't always expect teams to go all out, and they don't mind making mistakes when there's nothing for them to lose, as it's not on the same level as the official matches.
