If you only show the positive picture of Bitcoin's price and try to hide the downward moments of the market then you are doing even worse. Those people if lose half of their capital during a bull market would never trust Bitcoin investments again.
And I think that's the exact point where the O.P of this thread is driving to, that is, those who only speak of the good side of Bitcoin and not the negative sides so as to create balance in whoever pick interest in it and decide to invest in it. Because I have a friend of mind who approach me last week telling me of his interest to invest the money he intend to use for his traditional marriage in Bitcoin rather than leaving in bank, that like how much profit can he get for  investing $500 after 2 months time. And I just have to be plain to him that Bitcoin is not like a Ponzi scheme where you could invest "X" amount of dollar today and except to earn a reward or profit of "Y" amount in either weekly or monthly, which in most cases likely to end up being a scam. But I was able to tell him that Bitcoin is a volatile digital currency whose price value likely to rise or fall, depending on the demand & supply, and a good option for a long term investment & other benefits, but how much he could make in 2 months time is what I dont know, as he could likely make profit or lose. And since then I'm yet to hear his final decision.

There are both negative and positive aspects to teaching Bitcoin. While this education will play a positive role for those who are interested to know, teaching Bitcoin to those who aren't interested can do more harm than good. So, when one tries to teach a person about Bitcoin one must first know that person's interest. As it is a matter related to money. So, if a person is advised to invest in Bitcoin even though he is not interested in Bitcoin related matters then he has to accept the responsibility if he faces any kind of loss. Due to which it can have more negative effects.

When giving advice to someone, all possibilities should be mentioned. This behavior also shows how much we value that person. It's easy to say, invest and you will definitely win. But what if it doesn't? We can upset that person and cause them to lose money on the investment.

When someone who wants to invest but has no knowledge asks us a question, we should first explain the risks. You have given your friend good advice. Tell him that the final decision is still his.

As the OP said, I think it's a big mistake to teach Bitcoin by force. For someone who is not interested in Bitcoin, trying too hard can have negative consequences. If they invest and lose, Bitcoin becomes something to fear for them.

You're right, pal. Anyone who thinks they can double their money overnight with Bitcoin is looking for horses. Bitcoin buyers have patience, know how the market works, and believe in it. Understanding matters, right? Especially for big purchases. Can you picture the shock of discovering that the Bitcoin you bought years ago for a few dollars is now worth a lot? It could go either way. Its equally crucial to explain the hazards as the advantages. In crypto, we need solid people with balanced views. Share the positive

I guess that's why they say experience is always the best teacher and letting the person experience everything in the crypto world by themselves for me is Ok but I feel everyone should be guided if they persist on learning because a little guidance can go a long way but i guess it's for only folks that actually shows interest because you can't guide a crypto(BTC)hater or convince them about crypto(BTC).

when bitcoin started it was not given the value it deserves and people were actually surprised, bitcoin has gained very good attention and has become hot cake to purchase, true that not everyone will be interested but does that actually understand it and know its benefits won't joke with it, and the aspect of forcing people to invest in bitcoin is far gone since bitcoin has the issue of instability, once the price does not favor them then they start blaming you, the best thing should be that they invest at free will, and once they are interested you tell them the dangers involved in bitcoin.
So now who isn't interested in bitcoin when you see the price and its spikes every year. Bitcoin always reaches its highest price and gives a lot of profit. Forcing someone to invest in bitcoin is not justified because it will blame you when they lose. But now bitcoin investment is a mandatory investment when hearing about crypto, even though crypto has many types of coins. People who don't like bitcoin because they don't understand what bitcoin is and its benefits, if they know then they will immediately join and start pioneering bitcoin from scratch.
If they only know that bitcoin is the future, then no one’s gonna give a doubt on bitcoin investment. But no one will believe that unless they gained deep understanding on the concept about bitcoin, otherwise they will always be hesitant and doubtful investing in a highly volatile market. However, I still believe investing in bitcoin should never be forced or done with convincing, because of the reality that bitcoin no matter how profitable it is, we still can’t predict rightly as to when we’ll gonna be in profits.

Teaching good things doesn't harm anyone even though you're not interested in it but it helps them to become aware of it. It is simple, it gives them an opening idea that Bitcoin really exists and many people had already been involved with this. Maybe we could say that they are not interested upon reaching out and telling them today but can possible that they will change along the way after hearing it from us personally. In fact, we can't expect that those interested people will then start to invest and use Bitcoin, the same thing happen to those who are not interested.

It's so simple, despite the clamour for mass adoption bitcoin isn't for everyone and this impression should be a reality that forges us all to focus on the few community of those that are interested and want to learn and gain from it. Exerting energy on disinterested confused people with a negative mentality about bitcoin is just but a waste of energy and time that is supposed to be given to those that are very much interested about the knowledge.

It's only when you're giving out something that's a scam that you will have to pour our energy explaining back and forth to convince your victim but in this case the awareness and knowledge of bitcoin is a life changer and should be giving to those that accepts it voluntarily only such kind of persons can really value it and make good use of it.

I am thinking, what harm can cause when a person shares information about Bitcoin with an uninterested person?  I don't think any so I am curious what would it be.

So, when one tries to teach a person about Bitcoin one must first know that person's interest. As it is a matter related to money. So, if a person is advised to invest in Bitcoin even though he is not interested in Bitcoin related matters then he has to accept the responsibility if he faces any kind of loss. You cannot know if the person is interested if we don't share any information about Bitcoin.  Though I agree that we should not waste our time teaching people who are not interested with Bitcoin because it will not produce anything good and might end up the person being annoyed because we are eating their time explaining unimportant things to them.

Teaching and learning goes hand in hand, because you can be teaching and the nobody is paying attention. It all depends on if the person is interested in what you're teaching, to avoid being snubbed while teaching is best to let the individual know what you want to teach and how profitable it would be to him or her.
There's no amount of pressure apply to let someone learn something, if he or she chooses not to then you wasting your time and energy. In teaching Bitcoin, to me I don't think you should talk much while starting to convince anybody, talk less and watch the body language of the person, that alone would pass a message to let you know how interested the person is or not.

I agree with your point of view that teaching and learning are connected but separate factors. The tricky parts of teaching Bitcoin, or any idea for that matter, are wrapped up in the question: Can you really get someone who isnt interested to be curious? Its important for the person teaching someone about blockchain technology and digital currencies to be able to tell when the person is ready to learn.

In response to your point that pressure doesnt work, it brings up an interesting problem. No one can be forced to learn something they dont want to, but the draw of money can sometimes change people's minds. There is a fine line between promoting the benefits of Bitcoin and letting the possible learner make their own decisions.

I don't know if I should share my personal reasons behind accepting Bitcoin.
First of all let me say that some friends from our village including me know and understand about Bitcoin.I decided that I would tell my family about Bitcoin and told them. After telling my family about Bitcoin they are very interested in learning and saying how to learn Bitcoin and is there any positive effect. In my family my younger brother is a bit more educated than my parents and I introduced him to Bitcoin long back. After learning about Bitcoin, he enthusiastically told me how to invest in Bitcoin or how to earn Bitcoin.
After I told my family they were talking to two other people about Bitcoin and even they became interested in Bitcoin. It was very nice then. But I didn't force them to learn Bitcoin, they wanted to learn on their own initiative or on their own.

Obviously, teaching bitcoin and engaging into bitcoin is not a do or die. People will always have its freedom of choice whether they take part in bitcoin or just disregard it like most people did.

this is true you can teach someone about bitcoin but if they still have no interest in pursuing it then there’s nothing you can do anymore some people still believe that cryptocurrency is a scam and therefore doesn’t want to participate in it while some people have a hard time understanding the whole concept of investment or the market itself which will make it harder for them to be fully interested in bitcoin

Yes I agree to this, because so many people have don't believe in bitcoin, they see bitcoin as a scam, so how will convince such people, I think that the interested person should raise the topic, I can say things that I know about bitcoin, investment or involvement in business is personal, people always want fault, this the reason you as a person should be careful because they are even ready to put into trouble, not minding your feelings, am ready to preach the little I know about bitcoin to people but it must be targeted at the interest individuals to save myself the unnecessary stress, Bitcoin has made itself available for people to embrace but you must be like concept before your involvement.

I agree with you. Interest has a great role to play when it comes to how effectively one adapt into a new system and when you force someone into learning bitcoin when the person isn't even interested in bitcoin or anything crypto related, you will end up getting frustrated as the person might not put in the needed effort to get himself informed on the whole functionality of Bitcoin.

Let me use myself as an example, I had lots of friends that are into tech, most especially coding and programming, there job looks cool to me but when I try learning the stuff I discovered that it isn't my kind of stuff so I just told them not to stress themselves as I might not be able to put in the required effort that will make me a good programmer. On the other hand I had a prior knowledge on graphics and I enjoyed it while I was into the stuff. A friend introduced to UI/UX design and when I practiced it and discovered it sinked well with what I love. It took me just two physical lessons before I proceeded to learning most of the things all by myself.

What I'm trying to say is that, because you are into bitcoin and sees the future in it doesn't mean others should do same or that they will want to do same.  Of course you can educate them about it but If they don't show serious interest in it, just let it be.

i agree totally with what you said, due to the recent re- occurring activities that has happened in the crypto space,  most people are afraid of investing their money in crypto currency, as i do tell people don't invest in something you don't understand, i always say study, learn, network with people that are doing well, pay for their class and learn, i don't force   anyone to learn BITCOIN, when they see proof in your, they'll beg you to teach them.

Many people are afraid to invest on bitcoin because it is new to them so they need proper orientation or education on bitcoin for them. Others are afraid because if scammers. Yes it is not by force but people want to learn and no more but no one to teach and show them the road. I have met several people and I explained bitcoin to and most of them complaining that nobody has told them what I explained to them and that is why they have not invested in it.

Bitcoin orientation or education is needed in the communities. Many people are out there to learn but non to teach them. So we should tell the important of bitcoin and the risk involved so that they will be aware. Like today I was tell a lady about bitcoin and she was interested to invest. She took my mobile number so that she can learn and invest in it.

It is good to learn about bitcoin it can never die for anyone rather the future is likely to be bright with bitcoin investment. Rightly said it is really difficult to convince people who don't understand about bitcoin they have no knowledge about bitcoin. In today's age of technology most people know about bitcoin and don't need much convincing when it comes to investing. But being away from those who think they are scams if you don't have good faith you will be in trouble if you force yourself to believe.

I think that's just their reason, if they are really interested in bitcoin, really want to find solutions to improve their finances, they can learn everything themselves without anyone teaching them. Where did you learn about bitcoin and did anyone teach you in the early days? As for me, I research everything myself and learn from google, youtube and forums...no one teaches me, tells me about bitcoin or what I need to do...We are in an era where all information and knowledge can be easily found on the internet as long as we work hard. Don't give them a reason that just because no one taught them, they can't invest in bitcoin.
