As things stand, this is the only way Arsenal can lose their consistency right now, and that's through the pressure City can exert. They can't even win or draw Right now, the mistakes from the first few games, which they lost in a way I don't understand, are weighing heavily on them They're a good team, but they made mistakes. Although in football, anything is possible we just have to wait and see. Do you want Arsenal to go down and Manchester City to go back to the top of the table and win the season? Many people are grateful when Manchester City suffered a defeat with things we never expected, we also need to remember that every team may not always be at the top, there are times when they are struggling, as happened to Manchester City this season, especially if we talk about Liverpool who are much worse than last season they managed to win, now it seems very difficult to hope to get into the top 4 standings and get champions league tickets again. This season does seem to have become Arsenal's destiny.

Hell no, he's no match.

The EFL title may not be very important. But any final match is undoubtedly important. If Arsenal were not interested in the efl title, they would have been eliminated much earlier. Arsenal lost the final because of their poor performance. There is no dispute about that. Arsenal's attack was quite weak. Arsenal were only able to possess 37% of the ball. Anyway , I hope arsenal's performance in the premier league will definitely improve. Otherwise , the road to winning the title will be more difficult for Arsenal.

That's true and it must be acknowledged that mentally Arsenal is not better than Man City, so I think the defeat in that final is quite natural, especially since Man City had a very strong motivation because that was probably the only title they could win, so there was more for them to achieve. However, Arsenal still has many opportunities and they can relax a bit, especially since currently Arsenal is quite comfortable at the top of the standings, so I think Arsenal can already forget that defeat and focus on winning the Premier League title.

There is still hope for Manchester city to win the premier League this season and I believe they are going to win it. Arsenal is no were as good as Manchester city despite the fact that they may be topping the premier League but this doesn't make them to be more outstanding than Manchester city. Manchester city just seens to be out of luck in winning matches.

It might not be that important but the manner which they lose that match look like people that are not ready for anything. Did you see the way Arsenal was attacking Manchester City, the short on target and short on goal was poor, the defense was bad and they didn't came prepared. It was obvious that Manchester City was more ready for the team than Arsenal that's why they were able to do clean sheet with Arsenal, so much confidence from that team. I don't know how the feeling was going to be for Arteta for losing to a team that is lower than them in the Premier league and not just that the point was 9 points. I don't know what make them lose focus that much when it's not like they have loss recent games in their previous matches. They didn't have any loses before that match, the worse of them was draw, to say Manchester City loss in the Champions League while they didn't and still lose look funny.

I might have to partially agree with you. Arsenal was already in the finals, and I don't think they would be unserious about winning the EFL trophy. This club has not won any major competition since the FA Cup in August 2020.
But when you look at the way the Gunners performed and the statistics of the maych one will begin to doubt if they are really desperate to win a major trophy. Or maybe Pep Guadiaola was able to outsmart Mikel Arteta tactically.
I dislike blame games but, Mikel Arteta's decisions to drop David Raya for Kepa cost them. Josep Pep Guardiola also outsmarted Mikel Arteta during that game by putting more pressure and overload on Arsenal's enforcers Declan Rice and Martin Zubimendi. They couldn't function because the players chocked the receivers. It shows a limitation in Arsenal's sqaud and if it can be capitalised in the Premier League by smaller clubs, they're done. Let us hope they make good use of the 9 points gap they have over City.

I was just going to ask why next PL matches are so late to be played. The CL and some other European leagues are starting earlier as you know. But it turns out there are FA Cup matches next week... There are quarter final matchups to be underway. I had better watch the Manchester City - Liverpool one! I just can't wait to see Arsenal finally ending their hunger for a PL trophy. I guess they won't fail this year.

For sure Arsenal may not be able to win champions League, there performance in the caraboa cup final is an evidence. If they are to play with any of the strong teams you made mention of , they will be defeated. I think there focus should be more on winning the premier League trophy because if they going after the champions League trophy and the premier League they may end up finishing this season without winning any trophy.
I've noticed a pattern in Arsenal that has been repeated, and that is that when they are about to advance to the final stages they run out of steam. Now they have a lot of pressure, on one hand they have to remain in 1st place in the Premier League, because City are waiting for them to slip up, on the other hand what they have to accomplish in the Champions League, that's not so easy, there are many games and they have to play almost perfectly for everything to go well for them.

The Aston Villa team's consistency is not intact as we saw them lose to Elche in a simple club friendly match yesterday. After four consecutive embarrassing Premier League games, they won against West Ham, which made me believe they would win again, the defeat against Elche in yesterday's match could hurt their confidence as they have a UEFA Europa League quarter-final match ahead of them. I understand Bologna will be unstoppable on their home ground in the first leg of the Europa League quarter-final, so of course Premier League side Villa will have to go into the game completely self-reliant because my opinion if this team wins the first leg of the quarter-finals on April 10 then they may have a chance to play in the next round of the Europa League.

I was just going to ask why next PL matches are so late to be played. The CL and some other European leagues are starting earlier as you know. What I have come to understand is that the English fa is not that concerned if their team performs well in the uefa champions league or not, that's why they do not move games forward like other top European leagues. Look at PSG, anytime they have any strong game coming up in the uefa champions league, their league game will be rescheduled to a later date so that they can prepare well, unlike the English premier League, so you should not be surprised about the late fixtures. I just can't wait to see Arsenal finally ending their hunger for a PL trophy. I guess they won't fail this year. I guess you are an arsenal fan, I just hope that they do not fail this season because if they do, Mikel arteta may be sack and some players sold off, because this season is their best chance to win the league, since Manchester City that is their closest rival is also having a rough path.

Although in football, anything is possible we just have to wait and see. The both teams made a mistakes from the beginning of the season, Manchester City dropped points in a game that was supposed to help them reduce the points gap between Arsenal. Like the game against Nottingham Forest, Manchester City were leading in the first half, but the match ended up in a draw, they even draw against West Ham that is battling relegation, Manchester City made a big mistakes, otherwise, Arsenal wouldn’t have had the breathing space at the top right now. However, anything can football but at this point, it will be difficult for Manchester City to stop Arsenal from winning the league, unless Arsenal fail to win the rest of their games. With the way Arsenal lost the final against Manchester City, I don’t think they can afford to drop more points in the league, because any mistake from them can cost them the league title.

It was just a friendly match, meaningless, and Villa didn't field all of their first-team players, so I don't think the defeat will dampen their confidence ahead of their Bologna clash. Another crucial aspect for them is improving their Premier League consistency, they can't afford to repeat the same mistakes they made last season, which was a dip in form towards the end of the season.

The lost may have no effects on them as they stand to loss nothing on that game because it is just a friendly game but one thing you fail to understand about football is, football is a game of record that what ever happeneds today maybe used against them tomorrow. Although with what is at stake I wouldn't oppose your opinion that focusing to improve there consistency in the Premier League is what they should be looking up to and not friendly games but that friendly at times helps in testing teams strength and capability and most especially to learn how to face strength from other tournaments

In a friendly match, no conclusions can really be drawn, but I cannot deny that Aston Villa's performance is currently very declining, or that they still cannot maintain consistency, and in my opinion, the reason is clearly because their focus is divided between the Premier League and the Europa League, and this starts to show when they are under pressure. However, looking at the overall strength of this team, it is still the same, only that the consistency of performance often cannot be maintained.

Another crucial aspect for them is improving their Premier League consistency, they can't afford to repeat the same mistakes they made last season, which was a dip in form towards the end of the season. It may be a meaningless friendly match but even then, I think they couldn't achieve hundred percent success or show their skills against Elche in this friendly match. You'll notice that after this friendly match, they won't be playing any more matches before participating in the first leg of the UEFA Europa League quarter-finals, so it is conceivable that Aston Villa now needs the right preparation and a full mentality to win the first league match of the Europa League quarter-finals. At this stage it seems to me that these two teams will battle it out for a place in the Europa League semi-finals but now it appears that the Italian club has suffered a double blow before this quarter-final game as my idea Pobega and Jens will not have the opportunity to play in the Europa League game on April Ten. Ahead of the first meeting between the two teams, Bologna have provided an update on two of their players. Tommaso Pobega and fellow midfielder Jens Odgaard are both set for spells on the sidelines.

For the next round we have some interesting games, for example West Ham against Wolves is gonna be a key game West Ham needs the points for real and Wolves well we all know they are already cooked but is their last chance to cut at least a few points if not they are gonna be officially in relegation.
This is one of my favorite game to come and i hope Westham can win it. It's caused by i have some money stacked by them. They will play at home, and they can turn things around to leave from the relegation if they beat Wolves. Yet, i don't have big expectation for them to win the game like beating Wolves with massive goals. If they are just winning it with narrow scoer. I will be so happy with it. The key point is to leaving from the relegation zone, not to batter their opponent. I remember they were having like 11 points to Spurs and 7 points to forest a few weeks ago, then they're having 1 point gap to spurs. So i believe their mentality is so back. It erases my doubtness to bet on them. Three points from Wolves are gonna saving them from relegation zone. So we can assume it to fully motivate them to win the game. In Nuno we believe. Go hammers!!!!!

Go hammers!!!!! I also hope so, but this will be a tough match because West Ham and Wolves are both teams that are currently rising and want to get out of the relegation zone. However, realistically, West Ham has a very good chance of escaping the relegation zone because they are only 1 point behind Tottenham, especially since Tottenham is currently struggling a lot. Therefore, West Ham should be able to take advantage of this as long as they can maintain their performance consistency.

Sure they can since they're at advantage due to playing at home moreover Wolverhampton is still struggling in the relegation area and don't have any hope of closing the gap if they win, i don't see how Westham would allow them win in their home maybe it could end in a draw but I'm confident that Westham would try to win. It's a pity seeing Tottenham in such condition, their players perform like they've given up on the entire team you could imagine how Nottingham Forest and Westham managed to close down the gap, that's to tell you that they're not really serious and could be relegated to Championship league.
