I didn't watch the Manchester United vs Leeds United match because I thought Manchester United would win, given Carrick positive performance as manager. But I was wrong. After watching the match highlights, Leeds United played very well. They had many scoring chances, but Lammens managed to secure the ball well.

Manchester United next match will be a tough one, but judging by the Blues recent form, Manchester United has a big advantage in securing all three points.

I didn't watch the game either but was listening to the commentators from a local radio station and what I get about this game was that before Manchester United went into the game they were with too much confidence that it was a game they can win since they've being on winning streaks since Micheal Carrick became the club's coach. United underrated Leeds and they were taken by surprise with those quick 2 goals, and that red card also made things hard for them, but they were even lucky to score a goal after that red card. At least, now they can concentrate and be of good behaviour when they meet Chelsea.

Chelsea is not a club to put your hope on. The match will be tough for Chelsea because Manchester United is a better club. The league table shows why they are better than Chelsea this season. The fun fact is that both teams lost their last match, meaning if the champions league football is important to them they have to take it by force. At the end of the season, Manchester United look more promising to qualify for the top 4 champions league team.

Chelsea is suffering from defense injury so I think because its affecting them because there first line of defense most of them are inactive due to one injury or the other. And the loss against man city was also as a result of there defence injury I just hope that in there next game against man united will feature most of there defence line to avoid what happened in the last game.
We shouldn't be expecting anything less against man united since Chelsea will be home but I promise you if they don't put there defence together before the game then I can be certain they might loose to man united.

The long break could've easily worked against man United in terms of sharpness especially coming off that draw  Leeds having more good time definitely gives the team an edge fitness , Chelsea game will be real test though last time result Still sparks debate but at the end of 90mins both sides were a man down and United still got the work done if they stay discipline and consistent actually capatilize on Chelsea weak points again they have got a good chance to grab all the three points.

The players are good players but they always find it hard to win a small team, Manchester United fans must have been very disappointed because how can you rest this long and still find it very difficult to win a match in your own home. It is very embarrassing and a shame to Manchester United players.

Man Utd could miss the CL next year to Villa and Liverpool. It was another poor performance by Man Utd in the PL. They missed taking 3 points against Newcastle and 3 against Leeds. If Man Utd had 6 points it would save a CL spot. Utd must be embarrassed with the style they play and lost games.

It's not really easy to win games whenever you want to win. If it was, Arsenal would be winning all there matches to ensure they win the trophy and also other trophies in Europe, but no, they are loosing back to back, and they aren't happy. United had there big and good moments, when Carrick came in newly, they were winning games, defeating big teams and doing really great. They got themselves to a champions league context next season with there spot in the EPL table.

But it's sad anyways to see them loose matches recently. They really want to win, and am sure they are sad to loose. But I think they still have chances to play the champions league next season. All they need do is win some more matches in some weeks, and they will completely book there spot. It will be nice to see them in Europe competition once again. I just hope they are able to improve there game and end in the top 4 this season

Considering the performance of other seasons, Manchester United's performance this season has to be praised because they have been able to maintain the third position in the point table so far. However, Manchester United should have won the match that was held last night. Although Manchester United is in the third position in the point table, the teams following them are in the fourth or fifth position in the point table with almost equal points. In that case, if they could have won the last match, their position would have been stronger but they have to forget the shame of this defeat and learn from this defeat and plan for the next matches so that they can at least qualify for the next season's Champions League. But yes, Manchester United's performance in the last match was really bad.

Everyone is forgetting one thing, football is a lot like big companies, people demand improvement, not backwards. If Amazon makes X amount of profit this year, shareholders will demand 2x next year, not half of X, and same goes for United in this case. They have done much better than previous years, MUCH better, and that's great and everyone says kudos to Carric, and he deserves every praise. But if next year they finish fourth or fifth, that would be bad, and fans will be mad, they want at least third now. That's going to be tough.

Because the previous coaches weren’t able to do the bare minimum of consistent winning, a lot of praise were directed at Michael Carrick for bringing consistency and stability to this Manchester United side. Since he’s doing well much is expected from him now and from the United players. They can’t afford to lose focus now, sure Leeds was a momentary lapse of setback but they have to go into the next game to win it.  The teams behind them aren’t far enough, they even share same points with Villa Just a tight race at the top now.

Leeds played a brave style they deserved 3 points to help them away from the relegation area. They were better they deserved to win. Utd did not control the midfield area because Leeds were strong. Man Utd could have played to draw if Martinez was not shown the red. Chelsea lost 3-0 to Man City now Chelsea play Utd. City will play against the Gunners.

Both things could be true at the same time. Red Card was a bad decision and I am sure that most people would agree that it should have not been a red card, but that also doesn't change the fact that United played badly compared to how they have been playing for a few months, and that is why they lost while Leeds played a lot better.

These are both true situations and we should consider how this could be very true on the long run as well, because if United keeps playing like this, things could get ugly for them.

Yes it's true that Manchester United is in a better form than Chelsea at the moment but you should understand that Manchester United has their own fair share of problems during this campaign and have managed to walk out of it better and stronger, though it's unfortunate that Chelsea had to deal with theirs at this point in time when the season is already wrapping up, yet am still convinced that Chelsea are still capable of tackling Manchester United irrespective of their form at the moment

I think Manchester United have been very impressive since Michael Carrick took over. Right now they are up to 3rf position and I think they will definitely qualify for the champions League next season. I was disappointed with the way they played against Leeds United,  but I think it happens in football, so I will be expecting them to do better against Chelsea and even get the win.

I agree with you to some extent, but giving all the credit to Michael Carrick might be a bit of an overstatement, yes he has done well to steady things, no doubt but then I think Manchester United still have moments where they look very much inconsistent.Getting to 3rd position is impressive, but the real challenge is maintaining that level till the end of the season. The race for Champions League spots is always tight, so they cannot afford too many slip ups like that loss to Leeds United.

This is not the Arsenal we watched at the start of the season. Irrespective of how lucky they are to have crawled their way to the champions league semi final, I think they will lose to Manchester City on sunday. I want to see them win a major trophy this season but if they will bottle it again, it will be more impressive to see how it happen.

I am thinking of how the tempo of the match will be, both teams knowing that they need 3 points from the match to maintain and keep their Champions League qualification dream alive for the next season.

Chelsea losing to Manchester United will not be a good option for them because they will entirely lose the top spot for any possible chance for qualification for the Champions League or even the Europa League because clubs below them will appear above them if they win their 33rd match of the season.

Manchester United against Chelsea is not an easy one as many think, you think Manchester United is all that while Chelsea at the other hand is not doing really well this season and definitely that’s the fact but, you’ll be surprised seeing Chelsea defend with all they got. Manchester United is more on the safer side in terms of qualification while Chelsea is on the losing angle which makes things more complicated, Chelsea couldn’t defeat Manchester City and now Manchester United is standing as an obstacle, do you think they’ll let this opportunity slip by? I wonder how Arsenal fans enjoy watching Arsenal's kind of football. Pretty pathetic and very boring  They play every match with a lot of fear and caution as though it were a final. Real Madrid crashed out, but at least the match was entertaining.

I didn't watch the match because, well, even an Arsenal fan would have preferred to watch Bayern Munich against Real Madrid but I have the impression that Arsenal are getting tired, both mentally and physically. I always wrote that Arteta should have given the priority to the Premier League before Champions League matches because the are in the easy side of the table, they could have reached this stage even with the second team. But playing with almost the same players all the time of course it's now taking a toll, it's just not sustainable, especially now that we are at the end of season.

I'm not sure rotating heavily in the champion league wouldn't have been the right call either at that level , even clubs on the easier side can punishes you if you drop intensity I think Mikel Arteta just trusted the core group to build rhythm and confidence now its catching up with them now but it is also show how far they have come I see Arsenal lifting the UCL this season .

I think Leeds United were truly brave against Manchester United and they started the game on a front foot, compared to Manchester United. Leeds United are a team in the relegation battle and every point is very important for them, so they can escape being relegated this season. They were so prepared against Manchester United and they got the first 2 goal, which was enough for them to win. Manchester United on the other hand start the game very poorly, but we're able to play better in the second half, but the red card to Martinez really made the game more difficult for them, and they ended up losing the game.
I believe Manchester United will win against Chelsea, so I still believe that Manchester United will qualify for next year's champions League.

You are here talking about arsenal lifting the uefa champions league trophy, when it's obvious that these arsenal team are drained psychological, emotionally and physically.
 Just look at their performance against sporting Lisbon at home, is this the type of performance they want to use in winning this year uefa champions league title?
Definitely not, because if they did not improve on their performance, they might not survive Manchester City in the English premier league title race and Bayern/PSG and even atletico madrid in the uefa champions league. So they needs to improve on their recent performance because if they continue like this, I bet you that they are going to go trophy less this season.

In a world of football where we see football fans give out bias comments and analysis, I'm grateful for post and opinions like this which are rare and true. You watch the game better.
I also had the same thoughts when explaining for my uncle who missed the game. Calvin Lewin should be the one red carded because he swingedhis hands first towards Lisandro Martinez face. He did just the same with Ugarte. He got lucky and that's thanks to the officials.

The decision was wrong. The ref should allow two pro footballers to play the game. They tried chasing the ball. It did not deserve a card. Lisandro Martinez got a hand in the face, Dominic Calvert-Lewin a hair tug when Martinez tried to stay balanced after being hit.

Even with world class defenders, Chelsea can not withstand Manchester City. That excuse is dead on arrival mate. Chelsea is simply overrated but they're actually not fit in the category of big four or five in England anymore. 

Without the help of Internet, I can't remember the last time Chelsea beat Manchester United. I don't expect anything different from their upcoming match either. It's either they draw or Manchester united will beat them to remain strong in the fight for champions league spot next season while Chelsea drop further.

I know injury is the greatest enemy of every team but even without injury, Chelsea has not been doing good lately. So the argument about injury of their defenders is not a valid one in this case.

I'm more interested in Manchester City and Arsenal clash than Chelsea and Manchester United that the result is predictable.
