No one is catching up now, both Chelsea and Manchester city dropped important points although the Chelsea one was the most surprising one after leading in the first half, had 20 mins to defend the lead and lost it within 15 mins. Arsenal could take the advantage to go second tomorrow.

Personally I think the Liverpool second goal was offside, didn't know how VAR was able to bypass that. It's Liverpool thing I guess.

Liverpool got scared and they were losing.
Shortly after they managed to score 2 goals and now they are winning.

This win if happens with another potential 3 point from the missing game will be critical.

They are right now at a potential +10 from the second in the leaderboard after 18 games, crazy.

Liverpool definitely will get a win again this week and give a bigger gap with the team in second and also having a game at hand.

To be honest I still think they may fall off just like last season after dominating for so long. I will actually see them as the title favourite if they can hold up on their lead till to at least February ending.

While the teams closest to Liverpool are losing, Liverpool continues to lead and win completely and there is no team bothering them. Manchester City has not been able to win a match for many weeks, how will they fix it, Pep Guardiola cannot find a solution, this year is almost over, although it is too early to say for City, there are many losses.

Chelsea were also getting close, they won a point last week and lost today. In other words, there is no team left that is really close to Liverpool.

Manchester City today lost points again.
They were unable to beat everton, the game ended 1-1 even with extra "punishment" training days during Xmas.

Their situation however is not terrible, they may have lost the possibility of winning the league at this point but they are still in race for an easy top 4.

This is unlike Manchester City we used to know for the past 5 seasons,  I have never seen them struggle this way with such a consecutive dropping of points. Now they're out of the race to whom will become the premier league champions and further defend their tittle.
They're been troubled by even a team that is not supposed to win or hold them on a draw.
Now losing games or points has now become a tradition of Manchester City.

Liverpool can lock the title early if Chelsea, Arsenal fail in many upcoming matches. Currently Liverpool's performance is so good, they are chasing 3 points in every match, they managed to achieve it by leading the standings by far ahead of the second-ranked team.
The points difference is getting wider, but other teams still have a chance but it is very small because the upcoming match Liverpool will face a lower ranked team which might be a bonus for them.

A good opportunity for Arsenal, they will face a team in the relegation zone which must be utilized as well as possible to get points to be able to overthrow Chelsea from 2nd place. Arsenal can compete strongly with Liverpool this season, but I still doubt Arsenal's performance because they relatively gave up when the competition was about to end.

A good opportunity for Arsenal, they will face a team in the relegation zone which must be utilized as well as possible to get points to be able to overthrow Chelsea from 2nd place.

If Arsenal will win will depend on how Arteta will approach the game especially with team selections. With Gabriel Jesus hot and scoring, his confidence is good to keep him in front and have Havertz playing in from the midfield. Martinelli and Trossard of course, and maybe inbetween the game have a switch of wings since they can play from the flanks. I am not a coach but I feel that will be a more effective strategy than deciding to play Gabriel Jesus from Saka's wing. It will be a must win game Arsenal that they need to win by a lot of goals.

Call me crazy but I actually think it was a good game by Man City.
Yes, they've lost points again, but they created plenty of chances and dominated the game as they should. The missed penalty by Haaland was a big downer, but those things happen.
I mentioned before that I expected a draw as the most likely outcome. Despite their low position in the league, Everton is not an easy team to win against, they have the highest draws/game played ratio in the league and have a quite good defence (they conceded fewer goals than Man City). Overall, it was a decent game by the City, they deserved a win but the luck was not on their side.

I think Chelsea doesn't need much fixing -- atleast not as urgent as city does... Mann, never seen this long spree after a momentary win in just a single season. Or maybe I have but this doesn't just sound right that it's happening to the said club under the management of Pep.

Recently, I saw a little narrative on the news that he's up and been booking down a couple of good players. I don't know how authentic the information was but I'd say, whatever he's doing underground that we don't know, just to put the club back in shape should be done with the speed of light. Do you not agree that a club can suffer in future if their entire performances depend on some potential players? What happens when they're hospitalized? Or probably out of the club?

The Var are fond of doing stuffs like this in the Premier League competition and I don't get angry like I do again before but they have to be consistent with making proper decisions.
Saw Enzo Maresca commenting on Pep Guardiola,  he should just mind his business and focus on his job, they had the chance to win the game but screwed this up at the end. It was a good win for Fulham this has never happened in the last 45 years. Nothing to say about Pep.

These Manchester Clubs are currently behaving like twins, one loses their game earlier and the red one follows suit and let's not talk about the Fernandez red cars because as captain on a yellow cars he should have known better... from now on I will be picking this pair to lose or draw because that's what they do best!!

As things stand, Manchester United  chasing the game with a goal down against Wolves and Utd being the traveling team this is another "L" for the team.

Manchester United have bad matches and bad results with Ten Hag, now with Ruben Amorim, and together with a surprising crisis of Manchester City, we will familiarize ourselves with weeks when they have bad results together.

In the defeat of Manchester United, their players perfomed bad but their captain Bruno again shown his lack of responsibility for a captain role. He got many red cards and put his teammates in big troubles and it's more unacceptable because he is an attacking player, not a defensive one. He is a good player but is not good to be a captain, Amorim needs to find a new captain for Manchester United.

Ipswich are a very unpredicted team, not very good at the back but do know how to score a goal.

Chelsea lost good opportunities to close the gap on Liverpool when they drew against Everton. Fulham has been a good side this season but it never occurred to many football fans that they will beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. The comeback and win by Fulham was unexpected and this has drawn the Blues back behind Liverpool by seven points.

Tottenham has been inconsistent this season, so their loss is not a surprise. The same thing applies to Manchester City, whose recovery is far from sight. Meanwhile, Liverpool is seizing the opportunity to strongly hold the top spot. For now, no club in the Premiership is as strong and consistent as Liverpool and if it continues this way, they might end up becoming the champions.

All the teams that have given Arsenal problems this season have not only stopped with Arsenal but extended their problems to other big teams. Bournemouth, Everton, and most recently Fulham on Chelsea. I am sure no one expect that Chelsea to lose that game yesterday against fulham but they did. Liverpool is really in a good position considering that they also have some of their injured players returning back to the team to booster the team and also in the transfer season they will have an opportunity to reinforce those places in the team where they think they're lacking. But currently with the presents Liverpool team they are capable of willing the premier league because they have experienced players in the team in all areas who have done it before.

Chelsea game really surprised many people yesterday because they have what it takes to use home advantage to secure victory from the game, but their coach made wrong arrangements that gave Fulham the opportunity to beat Chelsea 1:2 to secure 3 points from the home of Chelsea. Manchester united have the strength and opportunity to win the game, but the red card made them not to equalized the goals that made them to lose against their opponents 2:0 because there is no how they can survive with 10 players against 11 players in that game, and Manchester united have not strong to that stage yet.

I guess Manchester city Really try in this game to draw with their opponent 1:1 to share the points, than to allow Everton to beat them in their home, which is the reason i said Manchester city tried in this game because they have experienced many losses in some games since this challenges started.

I'm sure most people will say about yesterday's match results and seeing the favorite team get a defeat and a draw, making bettors feel upset with the results.
Previously I said in another discussion thread that be careful to speculate on the Man City and Chelsea matches. Because these 2 matches will provide a painful surprise. And the result is my worries came true.
While I still avoid MU because in the EPL this team is still very inconsistent. But if in the European league I admit MU can still perform better.
The EPL competition this season is really very interesting.

It is a great opportunity for Arsenal to return to the second position today, but the truth is that Arsenal are unpredictable sometimes. In some matches where you expect them to win, they may later end up with a draw.However, I hope that today, Arteta will avoid coming up with any careless strategies by underestimating Ipswich. If Arsenal underestimates Ipswich, they may later regret it because Ipswich sometimes performs very well.

If Arteta implements the right tactics, this match against Ipswich will be an easy one for Arsenal to win, even with many goals. A bit surprised Chelsea bottled three points. but Fulham deserved it. Fulham looked so shaprness in the second half. It's a big disappointment for Maresca is not doing subs to increase its club creativity. I'd like to see felix to enter the game, but he always sticks to the Palmer.

I know Palmer is important to the club, but it's not something wrong to replace him when he underperform in the second half. It seems to me Maresca is worrying to replace Palmer.

I'm still disappointed how Maresca doesn't try something new, instead of to keep stick with the same pattern. That's not i wanted to see from his club.

Indeed no team is able to catch up with Liverpool now. Chelsea could have kept up with them if they didn't mess up recently. First the draw against Everton and later a home loss against Fulham which was extra disappointing.    After scoring the first goal, Chelsea were like that was it. Especially the second half went horrible for them. Fulham started to increase the number of goal attempts and the comeback came in the last 10 minutes. Nobody would like to lose this easy.

By the way I re-checked and didn't see any offside on Liverpool's second goal. There were 2 occassions to consider. On the first one I think Leicester number 2 prevents the offside and on the second one number 4 does the same. At least I was able to see it that way.
