I see Manchester City having an away game vs Brentford. After winning 2 games in a row Guardiola's club look stronger. I liked their effort in the last one too. I guess I will seriously think of adding their win into my parlay after a while. 

Now they have won 3 games in a row, because they just beat Salford 8-0 in the Fa Cup, we don't say this often, but this is the first time City are winning three games in a row in a long time. Brentford are a very strong side at home, so it will be a very tough game for City, if City beat Brentford away from home, then i will believe that they are actually back to form and that they have found their rhythm again.

This totally different in the coming week. They will likely struggle against Brentford. An away game with 1.72 odds enough to prove it. Moments ago, I read an Article that suggests current league leaders Liverpool can't still be caught by the clubs that are chasing them in the league standings and though some of the statistics I read there suggests that there's every possibility that Arne Slot's men can still be stopped from winning the English Premier League title this season and the fact that they have some difficult away games coming up, I strongly still do not believe that Liverpool might end the season with the English Premier League title.
I had to bring the discussion here and ask us what we make of the debate. Do you think the clubs behind Liverpool in the league standings can catch up with them? Let me read your thoughts.

So far Liverpool are in a very strong position to win the trophy this season, with a 6 point advantage and also 1 game postponed from second place of course they are strong candidates as the favourite team, especially since they are still showing consistent and solid performance  when facing big teams and crucial matches, but as we knew, the EPL is a league that is more competitive than other leagues in Europe,  even when a team that is far ahead in the mid of the season but still can fail to win the trophy at the end season.
currently the league journey is still half the season left and anything can happen along the way, So like you, although the statistics are very supportive of Liverpool, but I still think that the competition is not completely over before the match week 38 is played.

That was exactly my point in my post that you quoted, City have now won three games in a row for the first time in a long while, against Leicester, West Ham and Salford respectively, but their game in mid-week is a far tougher one. Brentford are a very strong team at home this season, City have picked up some momentum, but if they can beat Brentford it will give them a lot of confidence and it will be proof that they are nearing their good form again.

I don't know how to act, whether to be happy or maybe just normal because Salford is not a team with good quality and moreover Salford is also playing away. As a weak team that only plays in League Two, I think the victory is a natural result. Although perhaps, with the victory will provide better morale for improving Manchester City's performance  in the Premier League and in the Champions League. But still, if it's about the competition in the Premier League and Champions League it will still be a tough competition, and an 8-0 victory like that I think is no guarantee that Manchester City will rise  in the near future.

I think the best way to be sure if Manchester City are back to their old mode of winning every game in the second half of the season is to observe how they will perform in the Premier League and champion's league in the next 5-10 games. If they show any form of inconsistencies, then they should forget about retaining the title.

The latest result shouldn't be a yardstick for their next success.

This particular encounter is actually a tricky test for this Manchester city side because this is the kind of games we are going to watch and be convince if Manchester city are back or not, because at it stands, most football faithful thought that Manchester city are back to their very best which on my own part I strongly disagree, but this game is actually going to prove if the Manchester city we all know in the past are back or not.
Then on the aspect of if they can score a higher numbers of goals against this Brentford side, no, I don't really think so, though everything is possible, but I don't believe that Manchester city has the capacity right now to thrash Brentford team, because this is an opposition they mostly struggle against even when they are in the top of their game in the past, so I believe that it's actually going to be fierce and fascinating between this two teams.

This has to be a difficult game for City. They got several wins in a row, but not enough to get my confidence to pick them. They won easily against FA cup team, which was 3rd tier team. Brentford is definitely going all out against them.

It seems to me betting in total over is quite right compared to the City win. We know how good Brentford is, they're good at attacking and defense, but only lack of consistency.

Not a chance... There's a huge gap between them and Liverpool. I do think they can mount any pressure on to them even if they were to perform consistently until the end of the season. I think Manchester City will lose so more Premier League games soon.

Although Manchester City managed to slaughter their opponent again, this time it felt a little different because their opponents were not a team competing in the Premier League. Whether the match will be played at Nottingham forest home field or not, the fact remains that Liverpool will try all their best to retaliate the loss they suffered previously in the hands of Nottingham forest, and for them to achieve this, I bet they must be training real hard even at this very moment.

If Liverpool loses again for the second time this season from Notthingham Forest, it means that Nuno Santo troops have become a team that has an effective way to conquer Arne Slot strategy. Most people are claiming that Manchester City is back to their old form after winning two matches in the Premier League, but we should know that Manchester City played against weak teams, which they are supposed to win, and they haven’t faced any strong team yet. I agree there is an improvement in Manchester City’s performance because they do lose and draw when they played against weak teams before, but as we can see, they are beginning to get wins in their matches, so they are improving.

Manchester City's next match will be against Brentford. I know Brentford is not really a strong club, but they are dangerous and shouldn’t be underestimated. Let’s see if Manchester City will be able to get a win in the match. Let’s see if it’s going to be easy for them, and even if Manchester City is back to their form, I am not so confident that they will be able to win the Premier League title this season, because Liverpool which is also in first position, won’t be losing points either, and the point difference is just kind of much. This is the Premier League and as we know already the level of competition and battle for trophies amongst the top clubs that come along, the season is a long way from the end and Liverpool only possess six points advantage from second place Arsenal. However Liverpool look stable at the moment but I have a huge doubt they will be able to maintain this form until the end of the season. Liverpool is leading the fight for the title in the English Premier League. This team has played 19 matches so far and they are at the top of the points table with 46 points. Second position in the points table is Arsenal who have already played 20 matches where they have 40 points. The third position of the table is Nottm Forest who have 40 points. Considering the differences with these three teams, one thing is clear here that Liverpool is far ahead of all the other teams because Liverpool has more points and Liverpool has played less matches. Now from this situation, if Liverpool performs the same in the upcoming matches, then Liverpool will definitely win the league title this season. Now we are talking about who is in the second position of the points table. As the two teams are second and third in the table with the same points, I would give Arsenal a slight edge to retain the second position in the table.
