It will be interesting to see the home team play because while Sunderland shared the win yesterday, then Manchester City took advantage of that opportunity to grab second place. Even so, Liverpool could be the cause of their headache today because we know and have seen that despite this English club's weak statistics, they were able to turn things around against Madrid. The structure between the two teams appears strong but it still seems that Manchester City should keep a close eye on Mac Allister, the main point is that this Argentine player is like a silent killer to me because he can suddenly score a goal and make the difference in the match as he did in the UCL match.

I don't see Mac Allister as a big threat for now. Yeah I know his performance has got better in a couple of recent games. But his general effort isn't that impressive this season honestly.

But it turns out their recent wins with clean sheets were just an illusion.

To be fair, Manchester United performance have improved this past couple of weeks. The players are giving their all to the team but Amorim’s poor discussions and substitution choices is what’s holding this team back. I don’t understand how he won Manager of the month over Mikel Arteta.

They still have enough room for improvement at most, the midfield and defenders need massive improvements. There is also a shift in mentality from these players. Fighting for the badge and for themselves on the pitch is the most important thing and these players are doing that but they can do better. Yes, I was amongst those giving Mikel Arteta his props bit the photo below should tell you why he won.

For all those who thought Liverpool has woken up, their hopes have been dashed and it’s back to normal. I can’t believe this was the team that at the beginning of the season I thought would retain their title. How has the mighty fallen?, with this form I don’t think they can compete for the title anymore, they should just find a way to reman in the top four.
It seems Pep and his boys are back to winning ways, anyway I’m still not convinced they’ve been in some up and down form but it’s scary seeing City behind Arsenal and firing on all cylinders. Arsenal needs to be very careful let history not repeat itself.

Ez game for City. I predicted them to win, but with narrow score. Very happy with the way how Pep's team is finally progressing again in the right way. This is also pep's 1000th game as a manager. Good defense combined with good attack. This reminds me with City's winning squad last years.

Man City was clearly better by a mile then Liverpool in this game and they just destroyed them at home. I think this season Liverpool wont win any trophies they will even struggle for the champions league spots for sure. Man City took the advantage od the slip from Arsenal and now are really close to them

Mac Allister is not the stereotypical player that stands out but will make you pay with a goal usually when we werere expecting it least, silent assassin type stuff haha. But honestly, City shouldnt be concerned with just him when thinking about Liverpool. Klopps team is always capable of rising to these big matches even when the stats are not favorable. In my opinion, Citys overall squad on the bench and managing the game will put them in a much better position, but if they had considered Liverpool's press or off-the-ball runs in midfield, they would have been in trouble. whatever, match ended by 3 - 0 win for Man. city

Liverpool this season is totally unbelievable because I really don't understand what's wrong with this team, they are so unpredictable and they have continually showed that they are unbalanced for the league title chase and if they continue this inconsistency they might see their self somewhere down the table struggling to qualify. I presume it won't be long before the questions of sacking their manager starts playing in the mind of Liverpool fans because this from the current premier League leader is just unacceptable at all cost.

This was a real good drama that played out. Honestly, among everything that happened, I wasn't expecting Sunderland to equalize this match. This gets to show how serious Sunderland is as they are currently occupying the 3rd position in the EPL table.

In the absence of injuries, I refuse to count Sunderland out of the title race. Sunderland can fit in, besides they are not playing any match in the European level. This is an opportunity to shake EPL and before they could realise, what Leicester did years ago will be repeated.

Sunderland prepared for this match meticulously. The manager not only adjusted his strategy and formation to ensure they achieved the best possible result against Arsenal, but also paid attention to even the smallest details. And that's why Sunderland managed to hold Arsenal to a draw in this match. Whether it was coincidence or sheer genius, during the match against Arsenal, we saw that the sidelines became narrower, with Sunderland moving the advertising boards further forward, thus limiting Arsenal's players' space for throw-ins, as we know Arsenal's throws are quite deadly. This was a strategy that really bothered Arsenal. And it's possible that other clubs will emulate this strategy when hosting Arsenal.

Took a risk on putting a bet on them today and they did not disappoint with a huge comeback performance.
Also seeing Brentford beating Newcastle united was a surprise but a welcomed one since I had them winning today on my betslip.
Now just need to wait to see if we will be having a goalfest with the Manchester City vs Liverpool match coming up like we did with these early matches.

That was really an incredible play from Aston Villa and they really deserve the winning but the game that shocked me today was Newcastle united, that was unbelievable I mean I never expected that from Newcastle united because Newcastle united use to be a very strong team, imagine winning Brentford and then only for me check for full time result, I saw 3:1 men!! I didn't expect that from Newcastle united perhaps it was because of the red card but It seems some of these teams don't do well in their domestic league but when it comes to champions league they are active because I can remember Newcastle united won their last champions league match.

Am so impressed with the way Sunderland are performing this season, they are currently struggling to be at the top of the table, they played against Arsenal in their last match, and they were able to get a draw in the match, they were able to break Arsenal winning streak, and they have been able to break Arsenal clean shit which they have been keeping for some time.

Sunderland surprised me because we all saw how they played against Arsenal in the match. Sunderland performance has been incredible, I was thinking since they just got promoted to the premier league, it’s going to take some time before they going to adapt, but as we can see Sunderland is adapting to premier league so fast, let’s see how they are going to play in their subsequent matches.

The last 5 games without a defeat indicate that there has been a change in Man United performance level. It can be said that Man United is still in the process of team building, but changes cannot happen quickly. The positive results achieved in the last few matches are the first step towards reaching a better level.

They have great potential, but Amorim needs to work hard to reach a higher level. Solid defense and sharper finishing are the keys to them being able to compete with other elite teams. The January transfer window is a crucial time for them to strengthen their attack and solidify their defense.

They still want to continue to maintain their performance even though the last 2 matches they did not manage to get full points because only 1 point they have but it cannot be denied that for now their performance is slightly more improved than before.

Currently Amorim only has to try to improve their defense so that it is not easy to concede goals because even though their attack line is not optimal but has shown signs of good things even though their attacking players, especially for new players, still cannot adapt well so far.

Manchester United must also continue to improve their performance because 1 point although not bad but when their ambition is to be recognized as a big club then they must avoid about the failure that happened.

For Newcastle United the last match I seen them play was in the Champions League and they played the best and even better than they have in the EPL. Don't know why, whether that is from having different lineups starting on the pitch or they simply just perform better in Europe than on their own home soil. Not really sure but today they did perform poorly and even getting that red card can cement that fact.

Couldn't believe that Liverpool can't even score a single goal against Manchester City.
They had a header go in to tie it 1-1 in the first half, but it was quickly stricken of because Robertson fouling before the goal.
Was expecting atleast some offense from the reds but nothing transpired.
So the over 4.5 goals bet I had made fizzled out with only 3 goals put in by the home squad.

It was a big test for Sunderland, but they proved they belong in the top 5. Earning a draw against Arsenal, who are having one of their best seasons ever, is quite an achievement.
But the most interesting game of this round was today's clash between Man City and Liverpool. Despite a missed penalty by Haaland, Man City earned a super-important win of 3-0. This now puts the City only 4 points behind Arsenal, so things will surely get more exciting.
As for Liverpool, it seemed that after wins over Aston Villa and Real Madrid the poor performance period is behind them, but this game puts that into doubt. It's hard to say to what degree the 3-0 result should be attributed to the great performance of the City or to a bad performance of Liverpool, but the fact the Liverpool only managed to make one shot on target in the whole game says a lot.
The Reds are now placed at a distant 8th place in the table, 8th points behind Arsenal. If things don't improve massively soon, it will become clear that Liverpool won't be capable of defending the title.

It's always very dangerous when city move from the bottom of the board all the way up because they make sure that they finish what they have started...even though they are four pints behind Arsenal they are still a threat, from now on I think it would be difficult for any team in rhe premier league to defeat city...Liverpool couldn't even stand a chance against them, that shows how formidable they are currently.

Yes Manchester United have improved, we can agree on that for sure. As for who deserved to be manager of the month I still think Mikel Arteta should have won the award. Manchester United may have scored more goals but is that really more important than keeping a clean sheet? The only thing I can think of is United winning Liverpool at home, it was a record for Amorim because United haven’t won Liverpool at Anfield in almost a decade but then again Liverpool was on a losing streak at that time.

Judging with this match from how Doku was regularly beating Alexis Mac Allister with the ball, to the extend he commited Allister to a yellow card. I do flow with your thoughts about Alexis Mac Allister performance recently.

Liverpool dashed the hope of a large segments of the fans and many of them began to leave the stadium before the match was to be over.

The match was so effortless for Manchester city making the three points on a platter like they were playing with a bottom table club. Erling Haaland had to miss a penalty kick compound with other chances for goals, under other circumstance the goals would have been above three goals.
