First off, I want to say a big congratulations to Pep Guardiola for winning his 1000th game with Manchester City, I believe his players did it for him to make him proud of himself for reaching that milestone and being successful along the way, it's not easy and not all coaches can achieve what Pep Guardiola has achieved all through his stay in the league.

Yeah, big congrats to him, in this Pep Guardiola's 1,000th match as a coach, incredible result. And from those matches, the results are 716 wins, 156 draws, and only 128 defeats. Imagine, the wins he's achieved with several big clubs are more than five times his losses. It's incredible. And the cool thing is, Pep has won 40 trophies. And this will continue for this special one.

The journey is still long, in the Premier League, he must bring Man City to face three games, to reach the top of the standings, because currently, the gap is only 4 points with Arsenal. And in the next match, Man City will play against Newcastle in the EPL and Leverkusen in the UCL. I'm sure with a winning mentality after their victory over Liverpool, Man City can be optimal and win the matches.

They are going to kill Arne Slot after this game, how do explain that you have a team of top level players yet you can’t perform.

What else would he explain if not that this team is in a downtime. They are underperforming for now and thats it. They will definitely come out of it, but we don't know yet. Every team goes through it sometimes. Manchester city suffered it too all through out last season, and gradually, they are snapping out of it. It took them time, but certainly they are coming out.

And your comment reminded me of my previous question on Liverpool which was, "why change a strategy that was still working to another untested strategy that no one was sure whether or not it would work"? Only now to want to back to the previous strategy after having lost alot of games in a row, this season is definitely not for Liverpool and it's already glaring, this season's premier league tournament is only 30% (assuming you are correct) but with the number of games/matches Liverpool have lost already, I highly doubt they even will end up in the top 5 except other clubs that are there already starts to perform badly and end up falling off while Liverpool manages to maintain a consistent winning in the rest of the matches they will play for this season.

There is no way to call this a  good result. Liverpool will not be able to  compete for the title with such a  performance. They will definitely have to play better. In the last few matches , we have seen poor performances from Liverpool's defenders. But in this match, the performance of liverpool's attacking players was  also weak. If this situation continues, Liverpool will probably look for a new coach in the next few days.

Their performance before the City game have been awful. Most of their signings are yet to adapt to the EPL and some have not been stable due to injuries. I think Slot should be given time though. A lot is going on with the squad and they need to get their acts together especially the old players like Salah, VVD, and co even if it is to sell them. Salah haven't been himself all season.

I don't think I will ever blame Arne Slot for their poor performance, their players are so selfish on the field that they are not playing as a team to put the team ahead. If you are not in good form to score goals as you did last season, at least as an attacker, you should create chances for other players to score goals, but Salah is always looking to score goals, and if he does not lose the ball, he either plays it wide or over the post. I don't like the Liverpool I’m seeing this season.

This same thing happened to Manchester City last season when they signed a lots of players, Manchester City was losing to any opponent, this is only the beginning of the season, but City last season was far worse than Liverpool this season. Liverpool has already lost more games in 11 games than they did last season. I would not be surprised if they finished the season this way.

Lately they have been in a very poor format and Manchester has been on the rising,  so I was not surprised on the scoreline, because I was expecting a heavy loss for Liverpool.
Talking about champions league, they should not even bother about that, because they are not up to the level of a lot of teams that are competing in this competition.

So, Liverpool team hasn't got any better. I was shocked when I returned home to see on the TV that Manchester city totally humiliated Liverpool even without a red card. When I saw the score line, I thought that a Liverpool player was actually red carded but it wasn't so.

You need to watch the replay of the match so that you can see for yourself how Liverpool was beaten hands down with able to score a single goal. I think this is more than being humiliated because their was no reverse attack to score which was disappointing how the Liverpool team has fallen to this extend. I hope to see improvement in their next matches.

I've seen some news that people disagreed with Amorim award as manager for the month of October. Some say that Amorim doesn't deserve the award because Manchester United barely kept a clean sheet last month. Arsenal, on the other hand, won all of their games last month and kept a clean sheet, and deserves it more than Amorim. Even though Arsenal kept a clean sheet, Manchester United scored more goals than any other club in their games.

There may be other reasons why the Premier League believes he deserves the award, because it was his first as Manchester United manager, and Mbuemo won the player of the month award. Manchester United one goal lead did not get them anywhere against Tottenham, as they struggled to get a draw after taking the lead in the first half. Maybe Amorim may receive more manager of the month rewards.

I thought the game would be more tight as I had envisaged both teams each scoring a goal. But it was totally unexpected as Man City went on to comfortably win the game scoring 3 goals. They could have started and led with an earlier goal only if Haaland had successfully scored the penalty kick.
Liverpool had a difficult time as they struggled to find some good shots on target and generally had a subpar performance which certainly disappointed a lot of supporters. It was quite sad.

Pep is a very experienced league traveler and has a history of outstanding achievements as a coach, no doubt, his success has been proven in the trophies he won, this 1000 match certainly gives appreciation for the victory that is greater than the defeat and draws that have been obtained during his time as a leader.

If we calculate from the presentation, 71.6% is a form of victory, 15.6% draw and 12.8% defeat in 1000 matches that have been passed if I am not mistaken, and that is proof that victory is far greater than defeat, Man City still has strong determination, he could return to the top if Arsenal lose their consistency which has always been a problem for Arteta.

Brentford were able to defeat Newcastle, even after every struggle to not let roo many goals in, they scored 3 points, 3 goals and a secured a better position on the league table. Of course, the brain of the team was sold out and ever since then, regrouping the team has been a very different thing to achieve. Lmao. You did see them winning their last two games before this one right? They did well but unfortunately with this their condition, they can't visit Etihad and think they are going to take away 3 points as if it's their birth right, now way Manchester City are going to allow that and let it slip away. I think Liverpool just played what they think they can and that's what has happen. The next thing now is to focus on the next game so as to be able to finish at the top.

Yesterday loss alone move them far away from the top, now at top 8. If they miss another game, I don't think they will be able to recover from this anymore. I am still flabbergasted with Sunderland behavior and how they have been moving. How did they grow that confident so big that they are staying so close to Chelsea. Is this some sort of defending for Liverpool, do you forget in a rush that they are defending champions of the Premier League Competition and also that they spent too much money to be this bad in the league. Both defenders, attackers and new players added to the club are underperforming. It is not about Manchester City being in a good form but Liverpool floppy and the manager not doing enough to help his side get back to a goof form.
