Aston Villa deserves all three points and I applaud them for that because they were able to play Arsenal with confidence and attacked ruggedly till they finally got a dying minute goal to seal up their victory and move up to second position on the table. Aston Villa didn't start the season well but look at them now in a super form. I will love to see them finish on top four this season. The match ended 2-1.

Arsenal really disappointed me today they did not play as expected there attack was very weak and they were just missing chances and they were not even able to hold and control the ball very well, it is really disappointing I pray they don't continue like this, right now Arsenal defense is not strong and that is a very big problem because of some injuries they are having, the last goal that they scored them was something that was shocking to everyone I was thinking the match will end in draw during the last minute but that did not happen, I'm sure this game has made a lot of people to use money because they bet Arsenal to win for draw.

Unai Emery's side would have scored more goals if not for the exceptional saves from David Raya. Aston Villa was disciplined at the backside and knew exactly what to do with loose balls, which always led to a fast counterattack. The loss is painful to the Gunners, who have been doing all they can to lift a trophy. This now opens the door for Manchester City to close the gap to one point if they beat Sunderland today.

Aston Villa deserves to go to the UEFA Champions League if they make it to the top four. The club is currently doing well in the Europa League with four wins in five games. They are now in the second position in the EPl, but there are still more games to play. lets wait and see till the end of the season.

When i last checked before the match ended, the scores was 1-1, after the game ended and i rechecked seeing that Aston Villa won in the last minutes was a surprised which i never expected, the bad game i thought Arsenal had was a fit draw, not knowing they lost the whole points to Aston Villa, the Premier League table is getting tight now, the differences is no longer much and if Manchester City should win Sunderland, Arsenal should be careful not to lose the top spot.

Arsenal's impressive records this season have significantly affected the expectations of football fans from them especially the club supporters so it's understandable to read that you're disappointed with their results against Aston Villa this afternoon at the Villa Park. I watched the game and to be honest I don't agree with your opinion on who dominated the game. Arsenal missed few chances they should've converted but when you also look at Aston Villa's chances that they failed to utilise, you'll agree with me that both teams had the opportunity of putting the game to rest before Buendia's 94th minute strike. Mikel Arteta's post match statement simply tells how bad he felt with the result of the game, hopefully, they'll come back stronger and better in their next game

Arsenal performance wasn't enough to calm down the pressure mounted on their defense by the host. This was why the late goal was scored after much struggling with the ball. The mistake that Arsenal did is that, they don't always clear out the ball whenever, they get it inside their 18 yard box.

Of course, the lost has closed the gap between them and City. City is leading their match currently and that has moved them back to the second position with two point behind Arsenal.

Yes, Aston Villa's performance was so strong and good that it weakened Arsenal and reduced their points, which Manchester City will now take advantage of if they win their next match. Arsenal players who should have played well in this match to maintain their position but could not play well as they did. Their player Trossard scored a goal in the 52nd minute to equalize both sides, but in the last moments, another goal came from Aston Villa players which gave them victory. Although they have not become too weak yet, they will have to play well enough and win enough matches to make themselves that strong. Although at this time we will consider Manchester City better who will be able to make themselves stronger than Arsenal who are very close to them.

I am really disappointed with Arsenal's defeat, it is very disappointing to concede a goal in the last minute. Every time they make a mistake in this place. With today's defeat, they have allowed Manchester City to take a closer position to them. They are again in a dangerous position and are calling on Manchester City for the top spot. While they have to take every point seriously to win the title, they have lost a total of 7 points in the last 5 matches. On the other hand, Manchester City have lost only 3 points and new contenders Aston Villa have not lost any points. Arsenal have not only lost 3 points with this defeat, but have increased their rivals and are calling on their rivals to take a closer position. 1st Arsenal (33), 2nd Manchester City (31) and 3rd Aston Villa (30). It is now only 1 match to see the top spot change through a win or loss.

Amazing game for City. They finally secured a win without getting conceded. Ruben Dias is always amazing with his long shoot. Gvardiol who actively scored, though he was CB. Foden with his lucky header. They're all performing amazingly in this game. However, i can't forget Cherki with his excellent rabona pass, which has been assisting Foden.
His rabona makes me so speechless. 

That's how they must have executed the game by keep calm the whole game without shitting the bed. A perfect result for City, and they're closer to the top. This win surely pumping their chance to lift the trophy this season.

I am really disappointed with Arsenal's defeat, it is very disappointing to concede a goal in the last minute. Every time they make a mistake in this place. Aston Villa had an amazing emotional win against Arsenal but in long run I don't think they are capable of winning Premier League title. Their win against Arsenal and the temporary result 3 - 0 of Manchester City make the title competition becomes very exciting and hot for fans but more risky for Arsenal. With three points today, Manchester City will have only two points less than Arsenal after this weekend and with a strong, experienced club like Manchester City, Arsenal would feel a lot of pressure and play next matches with high risk of losing points when their psychology will be no longer good.

The coming marathon in next weeks will bring more risk to Arsenal and they can lose the first position to Manchester City or Aston Villa when the new year starts. That scenario would be very bad for Arsenal title competition in remaining months of season as they would have not been mentally strong in the title race three latest seasons.

It goes in that direction that every one wants to see Arsenal lose but I is left for Arsenal to disappoint the expectations of those that wants to see them lose by remaining consistent with the winning streaks. Today match was an unpleasant one to watch cause Arsenal played like amateurs on the field.

Each game they lose brings their contenders closer to them and today on the standings Arsenal is 2 points over Manchester city. Is this how Arteta plans to win the premier league this season.  Another injuries excuses to bottle the league is slowly emerging.

You are lucky to have avoided betting on Arsenal to win, you would have followed us to lose today. My calculation was that Arsenal would win the match to maintain their 5 points lead over Manchester City, but the loss today changes everything for them as it has put them in a very tight corner regarding winning the league this season. Today Manchester City will surely win Sunderland to bring the point between them and Arsenal to two which is really disappointing for Arsenal. I wanted Arsenal to win the league this season but the way it stands now, it is not certain that they will win the league.

Good riddance!    I preferred BTTS instead which came so easily in the first minutes of the second half... Thankfully we didn't watch an infertile game which I was afraid of.

Because I thought maybe Emery and Arteta would both like to play cautiously against each other while both sides were doing really good recently.

City's winning over Sunderland is really changing the competition to lift EPL trophy. Arsenal was being favored before, but they're now having same odds as City. How fast they went from a club that leads the league with big points gap to the only two points.
If they're still botting the next game, they're in a disaster since City is just getting even more solid.

Arsenal lose to Villa reignite City's chance to lift the trophy again. We have seen how they backstabbed Arsenal several times. If it's happening again, i won't be surprised.
Their last hope is that City to drop some points in the hard fixtures that will come soon.

Arsenal and Chelsea are two big clubs that has been failing us due to their weakness in delivering their own side of the match. Manchester City was able to win their own match but these two clubs failed to win due to their lapses within the players.

And just like that, things got a bit more interesting. Arsenal suffered a defeat by Aston Villa (2-1) proving they are not as invincible as many started to think. At the same time, Man City scored an effortles victory over Sunderland (3-0) and now they are losing only 2 points to Arsenal and are back in the game for the championship race.
Another game without a win for Chelsea. They are yet another club that was very promising not that long ago but hit some sort of dip in performance.

Meanwile, Liverpool, after a goalless 1st half, scored two goals in a space of two minutes and looks like they will be earning a much needed 3 points on Leeds and puts them (at least temporarily) back in the top 5. There's still plenty of time to go in that game.
