Aston Villa victory at Stamford Bridge was due to Unay Emery's ingenuity. He immediately moved quickly to overhaul his strategy after being 1-0 down in the first half. The substitution allowed Aston Villa to dominate the match in the second half and successfully stage a comeback after Ollie Watkins scored in the 63rd and 84th minutes. Aston Villa have now won 11 games in a row in all competitions and the extra 3 points at Stamford Bridge keeps them in the title race, currently they are only 3 points behind leaders Arsenal.

The reason is simple. Chelsea is not a serious club. Imagine starting Badiashile instead of Westley Fofana who is available. It's already a big mistake by them. The lack of depth in the CB position is really harming them at this moment.

All of their defenders are also getting low football IQ when it comes to defending from setpieces. They often conceded from set piece at the crucial time. They always leave man unguarded, and do nothing.

Their defense was the reason why they looked so garbage now. If they wanna improve, signing quality defender is a must especially in CB position.

It also depends on Manchester United's performance, as they are tied on points so far, and if they want to qualify for the Champions League, they must automatically surpass Manchester United's points tally. As for the title race, I'm not so sure Chelsea can make it, as Arsenal and Manchester City are far better, and perhaps Chelsea's main focus is finishing in a position to qualify for the Champions League. This match disappointed me a lot, I saw Chelsea attacking most of the match, and scoring goals with strong attacks from the first half. Despite putting up a good fight, Chelsea lost at home to Aston Villa, which made them even more disappointed. But yes, Aston Villa's performance was really great, they attacked very strongly in the last minute and they responded and collected 3 points.
But we can see that Chelsea's performance is constantly going downhill, so if the team's coach accepts this move, then they can definitely go to a worse position. Chelsea has a high chance of making it to the champions league next season besides yesterday's performance was a game of composure and tactics. Chelsea dominated the game but lacked the opportunity to create enough chances to extend their lead which resulted to losing a game the had full control of from the first half.

The signings so far weren't completely a bad idea. All Chelsea needs now is a player who can force an attack regardless of how tight their opponents defense might be. And Osimhen would have been that perfect choice. But we all know every manager has their own tactics and might not see things from this perspective.

Chelsea can't maintain consistent performance even in the last 5 matches they only managed to win once and I also really doubt Chelsea can qualify for the Champions League next season especially this season there are several strong teams such as Aston Villa who just managed to beat Chelsea and Liverpool who are starting to rise again now so even though the journey this season is still long but the percentage is very small for Chelsea to finish in the top 4 of the final standings later.

If you ask me as a World champions they are doing extremely poor because they had it all but they can't find a way of getting the whole thing right, this game against Aston Villa was a game they are suppose to bury immediately the threats start entering the game, chances was wasted and to top it all the subs that came in later on for Chelsea was as if the manager or the assistant or who ever Maresca left that position for did extremely poor, they caused the damage that hit them and the manager always talk about rotating the team and if you look he doesn't do much of a rotation that will help build the team, he focus more on the CB, the defenders. We know they spent too much but not knowing how to use these players is the problem and I hope Victor Osimhen is never considering joining Chelsea for any amount except the changes start showing up.

Manchester City managed to return from Nottingham with three points.

I predicted this and placed my bet on Man City win as promised. The bet paid off, giving a slight boost to my bankroll. I didn’t bet on any other matches that day because I was too busy with the exchanges. Sometimes it takes real effort to cash out your profits there.

BTW, Man City’s win improved my Premier League betting statistics. My win rate now is a bit higher then 62%, up from approximately 61%.

Victor Osimhen should have been a good move for them but they opt for the name Delap who they considered a valuable long term option for the club. They need to do more than they' doing right at most from the defenders and also the attackers. They started the league quite well but that game against Man United was were everything went sideways especially with Cole Palmer being sidelined with injury. Making it to the Champions will be tough now with Man United and Aston Villa going hard.

Unai emery is doing exceptionally well at the club, this is a top managers that has shown to have what it takes to deliver with any teams he manages if given the free hands to do his job, so no need to argue because if Aston Villa can continue in this vein of form, champions League qualification wouldn't be an issue for them.

So Manchester United finally met Chelsea on the table. After Manchester United rough starts and little win, people never expected them make the top 5 on the table quickly and they level on point with their rival who was having great games before. Until they met Barcelona, Chelsea went back to default settings. I don't know what Unai Emery is taking, that guy is on fire he has beaten the top 5 teams this season. What a crazy stats, they are now 12 games unbeaten. If they can continue with this consistency am sure this Epl title might fall into their hands. Aston Villa looks like a team that is ready to do unimaginable things, I’m really happy for what Aston Villa did to Chelsea, by handicap them with one goal and still beat them at Stanford Bridge, The way Chelsea was celebrating after scoring that cheap lucky goal was like they were convinced to win that game, Olle Watkins was the man for the occasion because he killed the Chelsea players mentality.

They never knew what the plan of Aston Villa manager Unai Emery was for benching his striker and bringing him latar on in the game which was a very tactical decision, and he outplayed and outsmarted Enzo Maresca who seems to be lost with ideas, Chelsea doesn’t deserve anything more than a lost in that game, and I have actually watched Chelsea this season countless times they’re not good enough to finish in the Top four.

Not luck man. It is about Emery. He is on another level... He totally flipped the script and the tactics after halftime. And won the game. This team was supposed to be at the bottom but now he’s got them hunting for the trophy. He rattled United, then Chelsea, and Arsenal is next. Chelsea was very disappointing, cannot catch what Emery was doing behind the scene and failed badly in the second half. They got only 5 points out of 15 in the last five rounds and they will allow other teams to bypass them if they continue like that.. Chelsea is one of the most uninformed club in the premier league so am not surprised seeing Aston villa humiliating them chelsea is like an underdog club in the eyes of Aston villa.
