A chance to go above some nosey and noisy fanbase and they had that bottled. I will not be so hard on them but that is what makes Manchester United Manchester United, to be able to win games with your second eleven or even with the absence of important players. We have so many players injured, players out for African Cup of Nations Competition so yes, let's not be all that hard on them. Leeds United their arch rivals will be next come weekend. Hopefully we lock in and get three points.

Deep down all Manchester United fans are in deep trauma right now, I believe it's only the strong minded that are still standing firm right now supporting Manchester United, I just think the problem of Manchester United is definitely beyond repair, and the worst part is in as much as Manchester United is not in good form they still keep relevant in every aspect of the game aside winning trophies, they make headlines more than any team in Europe, they attract good players they can't make good use off, and they are outstanding in terms of financial issues, I believe that's more reason why the management doesn't care if they win or not.

Today Manchester City will face Sunderland on Sunderland’s turf. I hope New Year’s celebrations didn’t affect their form and that they’ll pick up another 3 points. I’m aware that Sunderland have an unbeaten home record, but the head‑to‑head history between these teams convinces me that Man City will win. The Golden Boy has to open the scoring in the New Year. I’ll probably place my first 2026 bet on Manchester City.

Sunderland is strong at home, but they has been losing many of their players due to Afcon. They will miss their important midfielder and defenders It's easy to assume City can take such advantage win in this away game. This took everyone by surprise. It was never expected at this moment considering his recent achievements as contained in the club statement above. On the other hand, it's a necessary step for the team to achieve their goals. Chelsea has just two win out of their last seven Premier league games and that's seriously a bad stats for a team with Dreams. The question is who's capable of helping them to achieve their dreams?

I will not take anything away from Aston villa, I think they did well in the first half and should have gone 2 goals up in the first half,  but they did not take their chances, then in the second half Arsenal came out firing in all cylinders and they trashed Aston Villa. Like I said Aston Villa don't need to worry much about this loss, they lost to arguably the best team in the league,  so they can still pick themselves up and keep pushing.
Manchester United and Chelsea on the other hand are too unserious team, that can not be relied on. I am not surprised by that result; Arsenal played much more aggressively with the revenge they had, which made them play much more determinedly, and in terms of overall quality, Arsenal is better compared to Aston Villa. That has to be acknowledged, so I think Arsenal's big win is natural.

Previously, I also did not know any information about Liam Rosenior. It is truly surprising that Chelsea decided to replace Maresca. The coaching change they made will surely have an impact on Chelsea's performance for the end of this season. I think Chelsea's initial consideration for a new coach is a short-term contract for the remainder of this season. One thing am certain for this season is that Manchester United won't get passed that "nosey and noisy fanbase club", I think they make the noise for a reason as it's not easy having to winning important trophies back to back in the recent years when some of the elite English teams like Manchester United continue to struggle within those seasons with something tangible  but continue to live on old glory days when the rest clubs are moving forward to future achievements. Well, I wish Leeds could do some of us the favours by taking advantage of the absence of some of their key players who are out for the African Cup of Nations, and pocket all three points.

This was not expected because Enzo Maresca was not doing badly with Chelsea. He led the club in 57 games, in which they won 28, drew 15, and lost 14. They are still competing for the EPL, UEFA Champions League, Carabao Cup, and FA Cup. Last season he handed the Blues two important trophies. The club should have given him more time to build the team. Mikel Arteta also had a bad time in his first season with Arsenal, see the progress the club is making now because they believed in him.

It's such sad news because getting a worthy replacement might not be easy. Enzo will not last long in the unemployment market. His  good records will get a job in a top club very fast.

I don't think so, he just needs to be given more direction and pressure so that he can have a better game, so far he has played his role very well for Chelsea, I still wonder why Enzo Maresca quit, his achievements with Chelsea are quite good even though not in the English premier league or the champions league and European league, but in other leagues they get enough trophies to make Chelsea's name fragrant.
