What on earth kind of match is this? 

Looks like the EPL really pulled a surprise on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, with the favorite teams only managing draws. Kinda frustrating, honestly.

There is nothing frustrating here since it's already a very common thing for us to expect any outcome from games so long as it's football we are talking about, I was looking at the Premier league matches that was played on the new year's eve and the new year which is a day before yesterday and yesterday respectively, I saw all of this result/outcomes and I was like wow😁

Thank goodness I didn't place any bets for over 2 weeks now so I don't find this outcome frustrating since I understand that frustration can only come if and when you had placed a bet on all of the favorites in this games to win but games all ended in a draw.
However, the one I am most surprised about is Manchester City and Sunderland game, I still don't understand how Sunderland was able to hold Manchester City to a goalless draw, must have been a tough match but I am glad the outcome favored Arsenal.

How do you explain four draws all in one day

If this was some lower league it was going to be easy to claim these were fixed matches but for a top tier league like the EPL.. this is total BS.. Anyway big result of Sunday who looked like the more dangerous team whenever the counter attacked and City.. well these look like they were Hangovered such that they couldn't run or make any crosses.. I think this was the worst City game I have watched  

I would have said, England has done a good round, to have every fan make the best of the new year. Not a bad one those playing today but certainly, not a good one for gamblers. The draw market is less patronized and the fixtures were definitely those that were deserving of a win, Manchester City and Liverpool maybe.
Spurs and Brentford draw was possible and so was Crystal Palace and Fulham, both teams are in good form.

Ha-ha, it was one of the most goalless days in the league, three matches ended 0–0 and one finished 1–1. I was itching to bet on Manchester City win, but at the last moment God stopped my hand and saved my money. I guess I was right in my assumption that New Year celebrations might negatively affect the players’ form and the their commitment to show some performance on the field.

Ha-ha, it was a lucky day for Arsenal because Sunderland continued their positive results at the Stadium of Light by holding Manchester City to a draw.
The 4-point gap with Manchester City was enough to help them anticipate a possible defeat in one match. Liverpool also failed. Despite playing at Anfield, Leeds United are not a mid-table team in the standings.
With the fourth draw of the season, it seems many bettors lost their bets due to poor betting choices.

I think it is high time for them to sack the Liverpool coach his the problem of Liverpool the reason why he's still in Liverpool till now is was because of last season victory he was the coach when Liverpool lift the premier league title last season, but it was what the former coach has put in place that he used to win that trophy. His problem is that he's not good at making good friends with his players, look at the problem his having with Mohamed Salah a key player for Liverpool, I just believe after this season they will sack this coach and replace him with another one.

I also support Liverpool coach should be sack but unfortunately he has the support of the board members. Maresca won the the Club World Cup and also has the record of qualifying for the Champions League with the youngest team ever yet Chelsea didn’t waste no time in dropping him. IMO Maresca’s sack probably has nothing to do with his performance as manager but his relationship with upper management. Rumor has it that Enzo Maresca  may have been talking to Manchester City about that job opening, and Chelsea got wind of it and sacked him.

What a boring day... There have been 4 matches today and still the number of total goals is only 2 which were scored in a single match. Would you expect a match like Liverpool - Leeds to end 0-0 really?  

It's a really poor day for gamblers obviously. If Manchester City don't manage to break this tie it will help Arsenal with opening the gap more. It will be 4 points. Sunderland are really such a resistant team home especially.

It would have been better to avoid betting today because the teams played far below their usual strength and that made everywhere littered with draws, something we rarely see happen in the English Premiership.  It will take someone who says double chance today to win because there are no winnings, even from almighty Manchester City.  Four matched played in the Premiership and all ended in a draw, this is not funny.

Haha! Sincerely, it's not funny at all. But what can we do? It's football and we will just accept the final score and secondly accept our loss. It's really shocking that all those games ended draw. The most surprising fact is the game between Manchester city vs Sunderland. Nobody saw that coming. I watched that game full 90 minutes, and Manchester city couldn't create a chance to score. They had just one good chance that Halaand smarshed against the keeper, and nothing more serious. On the other hand, Sunderland were too good in that game. Full of strength, good play and nice defence. They created chances, but there finishing was poor and that's why they couldn't score.

Am sure Arsenal fans will be celebrating that draw as it has helped them go 4 points clear the top and above Manchester city. The season is looking more good for Arsenal and they can only hope for the very best. Let's see how it goes as we still have 19 matches left to be played

What Chelsea did to Enzo, it  will make the team to regret for such action toward their coach because he has done a lot to change the Chelsea squads to embraced club world cup last season and to make sure Chelsea position  in the premier League table is not bad compared to last season, the news came in a surprised to Chelsea fans because people have confidence on Enzo that he will be the one to save Chelsea from poor performance  but unfortunately he was sack from the team, if Manchester City decide to show interest on Enzo, it will be a favour to Manchester City because he is a talented coach that knows how to revive a team to start improving in all tournaments.

Yes, I think it was his personal decision to step down as Chelsea manager because of his relationship with the team management and owners. They are trying by all means to control him for their selfish interest. Maybe he had enough, and that's why he decided to step down completely to save his reputation as a coach because he is a very good coach with good tactics; he can do well if he is coaching big teams like Madrid.

I haven't seen any official statement from the Chelsea management yet to figure out the exact reason for Maresca's decision, but for this same management to sack Pochettino, Tuchel, and now Maresca, they have a problem because all of these coaches have taken bold steps to shape the team.

It seems like the owners of the club are only for business; the coaches need to play all the players they signed regardless of the game condition, and this has been a very big problem for the team, and it can be the main reason why Mareca left.

I'm personally not so surprised, this is primer league a very competitive league even the ones we consider small clubs keep on surprising us every day lol
Although I am disappointed about Chelsea match, it is something they can win but I don't k owe what is wrong with them again, some times they are strong, sometimes they are not. That is the consistency they lack.
And Sunderland is in good form this season, so yes I would not be surprised even if they won Manchester city
Wolves are weak this season so I have no idea why Manchester United Drew with them while others clubs are winning them.
Liverpool vs Leeds match is not bad Leeds are also good as well

I think sacking of coach is a culture bind by a contract by some clubs. You see the way Chelsea was quickly to send out Maresca even though the performance of the club is not that worse if you view what other teams has been doing. I don't think they are that bad, even Liverpool we are complaining about won the Premier League last season but this season was bad but we don't have to push blame on Ansi flick, the club dismissed many players after last season.

There were many times Klopp didn't well and they didn't let him go, even Flick will not go anywhere now. Perhaps the team is going to make some decisions later about it in the future but the coach is going to stay until the next season, maybe after that the club can decide if he is worth staying or not. I heard Salah interest in Saudi Arabia league is no longer visible, that means the team relationship is getting stronger. We might see more turn up from Ansi and his boys.

While Chelsea, Man United, Liverpool, Tottenham, and Man City all drew, Arsenal performed strongly and managed to inflict defeat on Aston Villa, who had previously performed consistently in their last 11 matches. Arsenal are now even more solid at the top of the table after Man City only managed a draw against Sunderland.

Yes, luck is still on your side, perhaps you forgot that Sunderland is a team that has never lost when playing at home in all matches played in the EPL this season. Their declining performance may be due to the players being a little tired after just celebrating Christmas and New Year, Arsenal is the team that benefits the most from the draw achieved by Man City, at least they are no longer under too much pressure because now the gap is 4 points.

I understand that some of those yesterday's fixtures result and last round matches were expectated but some of them was just outright baffling, we know that the Premier League is very competitive but that does not excuse some poor performance, like the Liverpool v Leeds match, how can a top team currently 4th in the table be struggling to beat a team that was just 6 points away from the relegation zone, don't they review the past matches against the smaller clubs Leeds lost to.

Then don't get me started with the Man United v Wolves, no excuses there, Man United was just trash, but you see matches like Sunderland v Man City can be tolerated because it's a battle between the top ten, it's expected to be tough.

Especially Liverpool - Leeds had such a goal potential. I thought like over 3.5 goals for that one. Interesting coincidence really.

Did you say boring? Is there any other great way to celebrate the new year than all the teams receiving a point? I guess none 

And yeah, it was embarrassing Manchester City can not win against the newly promoted Sunderland. Yesterday's draw extend their gap with Arsenal to four points instead of closing the gap to one point. Mind you, Sunderland played without six of their starting eleven players who are participating in the ongoing African Cup of nation (AFCON) and City could not score to avoid the draw. A bad day for gamblers indeed

Yeah. Aston Villa missed 3 big chances in the first half so Arsenal scored and won in the second half. But still it is amazing that Aston Villa competes with Manchester City and Arsenal with their budget. The chemistry with Unai Emery is perfect. Nobody expected Aston Villa to be at this level in the league.

Unai Emery has definitely proven himself, and what he did with Aston Villa showed everyone that he is a top-level manager. I'm sure many big teams will put him at the top of their transfer list if they need a manager. I think teams like Real Madrid will be among them. The Spanish manager currently has the capacity to manage any team in the world. He also really understands the players' playing styles and makes excellent substitutions. I think that's one of his defining characteristics. He can change the formation very well according to the flow of the game. The Arsenal match was a bad one, but before that, there were some truly magnificent games.

True. And Emery came to this position by only working very hard. He is a quiet and calm person. He only speaks with his football on the pitch. He is a football genius but in my opinion he still doesn't get the respect he deserves. Two years ago, Steven Gerrard left the team in a very bad situation at the bottom of the league. Unai Emery took this wreck and made Aston Villa 7th in the league. Since then the team is always going up. Emery’s effect on the team and his football mind are truly amazing.

Some positives to take is that Rodri is back, but putting Cherki not in the 10 role is just so bad. Hope pep changes his mind.

Arsenal looked very satisfied with the result because while their competitors could only get 1 point, Arsenal was able to pocket 3 points against Aston Villa. Man City played poorly tonight even though we all know that Sunderland did not play with their best squad because 6 of their players had to participate in AFCON, but unfortunately, Man City could not take advantage of that moment. Liverpool was no different, even though they were playing at home, but they failed to get the win and even struggled to get just 1 goal.
