Countries have got their own practice and it differs. Maturity can't be the measure, because the lifestyle difference between the urban and rural itself have difference in learning and understanding. So as we saw in one of the past post it is good to go with the age of voting. When a person is given the right to vote, it means he had reached the state to differentiate what is necessary and what is not. If you judge someone's maturity from attitudes and behavior, age cannot be used as a benchmark because it all depends on one's own thinking.
For gambling, most casinos that are licensed and apply KYC rules must be clear if the minimum age is 18 years because at 18 years old someone already has an official identity.

Around us minor boys are involved in various kinds of bad activities. Especially they are more addicted to gambling. We should keep our children away from all these bad addictions. If minor boys get addicted to gambling once, their life will be completely ruined.So he should have family protection so that he can't get into all these bad addictions. But for him if he is 18+ I think gambling is ok because if he is 18+ he will understand the meaning of his life and what is bad and what is good he will understand by himself.

We can't keep hiding our children from these dangerous gambling activities, but the best thing we can do is lecture them on how to resist such behaviors. We have the option of keeping them indoors all day, and if these nefarious children are their classmates, there's no way our kids will not come into contact with them in classes or the school environment. Observing our children keeps bad company will undoubtedly harm his choices and decisions. He's nothing compared to peer pressures; he'd want the best from his teen experiences; I've been in that situation before, and it's not a good path to choose.

Keeping children indoors isn't a solution to this problem because if you just keep your children indoors, they will become shy, won't be social, won't be able to speak to anyone properly, they will grow fear of speaking in public, they won't have much confidence, and there are a lot of other things that are caused because of this one thing - keeping children indoors. So it's better to not keep them inside for all their childhood and take other preventive actions.

One could simply make sure that their children are not friends with people or children that are involved in bad activities so that their children are not spoiled, advise them to only make friends that are good and do good things all the time and not with those who do things that are either illegal or just bad.

We gambled all the way through school, only trading cards at first but later just small amounts of cash for standard card games.  Dont think we ever played Poker probably it would take too long during just a break between lessons and maybe it would be too obvious on the gamble aspect but most other game we can talk it off as a game of snap or something harmless enough.   Was never a problem because we are only gambling snack bar amounts and nobody was agreeing to gamble more then that to keep it friendly.

It taught me more about playing cards because we could share knowledge and improve each other's skills. I've ever known that the minimum legal age that one could do most adult things is 18 years of age, and the authorities in the US must know what they are doing which explains why they added an extra 3 years to it in most states. Even many people that are well over adulthood have challenges with gambling addicts as they couldn't control themselves in some cases not to talk of those teenagers that are just entering adulthood.

With regards to if they can adhere to this, you should know that this is not the situation in most cases. The parents, children and betting companies/agents they are dealing with are all guilty of this. Any of them with good stature could get the service easily, while in other cases, a visibly underage would bet without any question asked. While some parents would even send their underage children to access the service for them.

It seems like a lot of places in the USA are starting to open up when it comes to gambling and sports betting. I've commented on US gambling age case. They have strange priorities. They can get guns, drive cars at the age earlier than they can gamble. For me, most important thing in the world is human's life. Do you remember many cases when people died due to gambling? And I believe you've heard when young kids started shooting or committed accidents on the road. 18 years is basically a person's adulthood in government law.  But since I'm not a psychologist, I can't say at what age a person basically acquires the ability to think well. No matter what age a person is, everyone is very weak in financial matters and that's why greed can overwhelm a person very quickly. and because of greed, everyone becomes desperate to gamble. and kids also don't hesitate to gamble now.  And kids get chance to gamble because all the parents are now busy with their own work due to which they fail to take care of the kids and due to this children are going in gambling ways day by day.

In most countries in Asia, it's a lot harder to acquire and buy a gun legally because it is easier to acquire it illegally where papers aren't needed that is why it comes with a much cheaper tag price but the trouble is, you don't know where it came from or if that specific gun was used recently from a crime that is why they want to sell it.

Anyway, back to the topic, it is really odd to think that most western countries are much more strict when it comes to age restriction in casinos but if it's about buying a gun where it's more dangerous, any random kid can purchase it.

Medically speaking now, maturity does not necessarily depend on how someone have lived their live, the brain as we know it keeps developing over the years as someone is living and growing up, someone might appear mature but the brain is what is really being looked at, a young brain might not be able to make the  best decision under severe stress from gambling loses, and from medically research, it is generally believed that at the age of 18 and above, the brain is matured enough and the person is already legally responsible for most of the decisions he or she makes.
This is why 18 of age and above is the generally accepted age for person to start gambling if he or she have the interest.

If the relevant website is still within their territory, then of course the website will get punished if it is proven to be in violation. But apart from that i personally don't fully believe they will obey all the rules because after all, even though they have made rules such as age limits to start gambling but in reality children are already practicing gambling. Indeed, the practice of gambling for children is mostly unconscious and may be limited to games. I am Asian, and indeed we have quite strict prohibitions, especially in my country, let alone talking about weapons and gambling, I agree that it depends on the regulations in each country and of course also adjusts to their culture. Yep, besides educational background and the support from parents, how someone lives will determine the maturity. His neighborhood also contributes for the maturity of someone. Since there are many factors, it is quite difficult to determine the maturity of someone. However, the approach of the casinos are good enough, 18 years old should be the age that someone is mature enough. Someone is already in the university when he is 18 years old.
