Totally agree with you that both scam and coin extinction in altcoin in crypto currency market cannot be denied. People want to invest in altcoins because the rate of return is very good. Altcoins don't require much waiting, you can get a good profit in a short period of time.Altcoins are a great option for small investors because the prices of altcoins are much lower than Bitcoin.

Apart from all these there are good and strong projects in Altcoins which gave huge profits to people in the last bull season. At present there are still good and excellent projects in crypt currency that have the potential to give a good profit in the future.

Small investors are usually called hamsters. Such people read the news on Twitter, where they listen to the advice of various "experts" and buy bad projects, which results in losing their deposits. If you are new to this market and want to invest in altcoins, you need to pay attention not to ads but to old projects that have been successful for a long time.

How would we have improvements then? Crypto world is filled with alts that are not needed I agree with that, but there has been some alts that improved the blockchain world. All those ICO's and IEO's back in the day started a rush, and now the most recent one was DeFi and NFT for example, or metaverse, or play to earn, those were all improvements on what we already had.

This is why it is quite near impossible to have a bitcoin without having alts as well. Those things improve the blockchain world and what can be done with it and you need to accept that we need some of them otherwise it's just not going to work. I know that people are not excited about it as much as they could be, but we need to accept the terrible ones along with the good ones in order to continue.

We have the Altcoins seasons, where these coins hits their All time high price, we just need to have good entries in the market. Altcoins are important because of the massive pump and dips it triggered, only the smart traders and investors are opportune to generate profits from these altcoins. I've lost counts on the times Altcoins saved me and my portfolio during the period bitcoin and Ethereum crashes significantly,  I thought all hope were lost, I just forget that I bagged GMT which pump massively and tend to raise up my portfolio from liquidation.

When it comes to the altcoins, I will divide that into coins and tokens.  The tokens will die fast. But you can get good profits from the coins. My favorite altcoins are OP, ARB, and ETH. If you want good profits from the crypto market, you should get the profits and exit the market at the correct time.

In theory altcoins should have many different functions, for example bitcoin has become such an important and influential project that it cannot longer test new features as it did on the past, so altcoins were supposed to be the perfect environment in which ideas could be tested against the real world and we could see if they worked or not, but when the majority of altcoins are copies of other coins and the majority of them are created by scammers, then as expected the enthusiasm over altcoins has been decreasing among the senior members of the community.

Altcoin is not a single coin, its a term used for every cryptocurrencies apart from bitcoin so even if 50% of market dominance under bitcoin still there is room for another 50% that is the factor drives the investors to make money apart from bitcoin. Investing on cheap coin can go as complete loss or can give 100x returns in very short term.

It should also be noted that it is altcoins that have a lot of useful functions for doing business, concluding transactions, generally providing various useful services and amenities to people that bitcoin does not have. Blockchain technology provides a lot of advantages in various areas of human activity, including if it is connected to finance in the form of cryptocurrency. I thought you dislike altcoin? Then why you are giving us that suggestion? But anyway the truth is that there are also legit altcoins. These alts are worth it to HODL for a long time obviously because it can give us a great income in the future and buying and holding is also a way of showing a support to the creator of those altcoins.

Your suggestion is still good only for the altcoins which are only good at the start because maybe this was only their goal and they don't plan to develop their alt and try more harder. Legit altcoins are important because they supply the missing features that people are looking for in Bitcoin. Alts help in the adoption of crypto or in Bitcoin so I wouldn't hate them.

Trending hype in the short term and it offers great returns and risk of loss for the staunch investor, I personally see that we have literally thousands of different altcoins but few of them are proven to be. demonstrate value and functionality in the crypto space. And nearly every altcoin is tied to the trend of btc, so without the skills of analysis and evaluation as well as the process of investing in the market, altcoins are not the way we stick to our assets for long if not subject to change. I am always optimistic and confident with this market, so the long-term view with btc, then can switch to altcoins through price movement cycles to balance profit and risk.

The manor reason for those investing in altcoin is for the gain because those scam tram always promise them $1000 on the $20 investment within a short time,  and since some of them once pumped and dumped at some point it then turn out that those investors are trying to take a short at them whether they be lucky not to be caught in the web.


While some are lucky to cash out on the team when the pump happens but also some are unlucky to pull out before the dumped also.



So for me, altcoin is not a good investment choice most especially for a long term base.

Maybe it's just the profits people make or simply believing in the technology the project runs on, or about some hype about the trends that happen around each bull cycle market. The altcoin environment is full of things to choose from but it's clear that buying anything doesn't always bring us good results, the way I look at the competition and purge projects over time to stay potential projects are the ones where altcoins operate.

The reality is that many of them don't realize their mistake until repeated losses and can lead them to really stuck situations in life, so the key is DYOR in the beginning, then don't risk it with the mindset that some short-term investments will make you rich quickly, it happens on some occasions and people exaggerate it, so stay away from things that are too fancy and understand about what you are learning to avoid mistakes.

Well, the best answer I can give is that the world is too big for one coin! I think there are good alts around, we can deny Ethereum, Monero, Litecoin, and some other coins success in the last +5 years.

I can't imagine the crypto world without so many different projects around and their native chains and possibilities. And the speed at which this world is growing is incredible...

What you have said above was not even true. There are many coins that could die as fast as a plane that was falling to the ground. OP and ARB are tokens while ethereum was native coin. You shall know the differences. ARB and OP are tokens that you have claimed above to die fast.

There are many arguments sometimes in favor and help to bitcoin, also sometimes competition with bitcoin to express themselves, but rather every altcoin depends on the trend of bitcoin. I see the reason people believe in it because of the fact that it offers a clear opportunity to be profitable in the short term, and it repeats so often and almost as a habit of forgetting that people build for themselves. But the trend created in each bull cycle, many of the things that I see are meaningless but also part of the trick to attract people to the crypto market. Over time we will understand for ourselves what really is safe for different times and what will be short-lived.

Different altcoins serve different purposes, while diversification is necessary for cryptocurrencies. Some provide better privacy, others fast and affordable transactions; Bitcoin isn't a panacea. The truth is that there are a ton of crap coins that serve no purpose whatsoever, which is the main reason the SEC targeted Binance because it was listing random tokens and altcoins. Anyway, altcoins are necessary for the cryptocurrency ecosystem, and if you opt out of the scam coin, the altcoin world offers great opportunities, and the different blockchains such as Binance Smart Chain, Polygon, and plenty of others offer great staking capabilities.

I agree that they do have a great reason to be used and that's why it's used this much as well. I am not sure if we could consider them "important" because that's a different topic but I can say that they are definitely good to have and that should make the difference without a doubt. I know that it's not going to be easy or anything like that but we could definitely see it change a lot.

I personally hope that the best thing that can come out of altcoins is the fact that we can use them easier and that makes it more fun as well. Plus there are ones that you "use", not just invest or anything, sure you can buy and sell everything but you use some of them for stuff and that makes it even more entertaining and also a great reason to purchase.

Yes, you can see a lot of scam projects/scam altcoins but just to note that some still play an important role in the market like ETH.
Well, your opinion about buying the dip was great but thinking about selling them faster, was impossible as we can't assume that after we bought them the price will pump. That is why there is where we called hold/holding because it was needed somehow as the price won't climb out after buying and we wait for a few days or even years.

Altcoins have definitely fail to live up to their reason to be, instead of offering an alternative to bitcoin for the public at large, the only thing that altcoins offer is the ability to try to multiply your money, with terrible odds of this happening of course, so when we think about it only a handful of altcoins offer anything other than that while the rest are completely useless and only scare people away from this market as they give it a bad reputation.
