Yep, people are trying to recapture that magic and obtain the same results the early adopters got when they got their bitcoin, and while such a thing is possible if they happen to invest in the right altcoin we also know this is very unlikely, as the number of altcoins we have on the market is huge and the capital each investor has is limited, so the opportunities they have to try to get those results are incredibly restricted and unfortunately for them they will never get those benefits.

I think in the beginning we need to have alternative right? hence the term altcoin, other coins besides the one and only BTC. But as time goes by, speculators became a thing here in the altcoin market. Devs created a lot of hype and meme coins and shit coins to obviously with one goal in mind, - to attract a lot of people in the market itself.

And I say some of them are very successful about that, like in recent months, $Pepe coin in rising, and then we have the whole BRC-20 token. So yeah, just be careful out there, there are a lot of good coins but majority are very bad investments in the long run.

Being in an altcoin with so many problems as you said doesn't mean they are important. But some people prefer to chase every momentum that happens in the hype of some shitcoin.

If we see the complete picture and not only the investments and risks, altcoins have played a great role in the global adoption level of cryptocurrencies and Bitcoin in particular, a lot of projects have spread so widely and introduced cryptocurrencies and Bitcoin to masses which greatly increased the adoption level, we all know that when someone comes to know about cryptocurrencies, it's not possible for them to not know about Bitcoin since it's the king.

So even if investments in altcoins can have great risks, they are always an important aspect of the cryptocurrency industry because Bitcoin would never be able to gain this much success if it was alone and there were no altcoins at all, it would reach this place someday but altcoins helped boost the adoption.

People majorly invest in altcoins to make quick profits in shorter period of time. They invest in order to get high profits from small investments. But they forget that with higher profits and returns, high risks and chances of getting scam also comes. I don’t consider altcoins as important but yes it might be important for some other person. Hence at the end of the day it’s completely a person’s choice whether to invest in alts or not.

Scam projects take these money away, that could have been invested on Bitcoin, ethereum or other strong projects to help the market grow. For these kinds of reasons I actually don't like them and avoid investing in new alternatives. And that's why I prefer bitcoin in my personal opinion to make my investment more safe and secure and to gain better profit. But not all altcoins are scammers or frauds. Atlcoin's top pairs are also not bad for investment. If Bitcoin is profitable for long term investment then these alternative coins work well to gain a good profit in short term. My opinion is that if you have to choose an alternative coin for investment then I would say choose from the top coins like Ethereum, BNB, Litecoin, Polygon etc and tooks these for only short-term.

I mean, aren't you curious enough to know about why some investors are more inclined to invest in altcoins instead of bitcoin? Sure, bitcoin should be prioritized as an investment compared to the other coins that are existing the market because it carries more potential and it is already a reputable coin that is trusted by the public for more than a decade now.
But when we say altcoins, it is an alternative for bitcoin especially for the ones that are just looking for a short-term holding and doesn't have that much funds to invest but it can provide more profits than bitcoin but it carries more risks compared to the bitcoin.

It is undeniable that there are so many altcoins projects that are scams, rugpull, death projects, shitcoins and so on that make the crypto world sometimes look down on. But basically, there are also several functions of altcoins, it's just that what needs to be underlined is which altcoins and what they are like. because it is undeniable that we often encounter shit coins that are really hype, making someone suddenly rich or even suddenly poor. I never considered "boring" as a reason for it to exist but you could be very correct. I mean my main reason was different, but altcoins does make crypto world more entertaining and that is why I believe that it would be quite entertaining to think about that.

The best thing to do in this case would be making sure that we are at a stage where it is going to be quite great to have some fun with them at least . I am not saying that we could end up with a good result right away, but at least we could give it a try for it as well. I hope that the best thing to do in this case would be making a profit the way we should, and that would be looking into alts and maybe we will lose it but it is like gambling so we are having more fun that way.
