When a coin introduces a completely new technology that fulfils a different function and is sustainable in the long term, then that coin has the potential to be a worthwhile investment!

A lot depends on what technology and product offer the altcoin. There are so many different altcoins that do not have any useful technology or product. If altcoin does not have any practical use it will not be used in the future.

That's correct, yet numerous individuals develop goods for immediate financial gain. What's amusing is that several folks purchase such altcoins with the expectation of obtaining plentiful X's in a brief period. Unfortunately, its producers alone reap the benefits of it.

Investing in Altcoins can be very profitable, but it all depends on the project having good potential for the future, doing some research first is the first step before investing in it.
Some people really like investing in Altcoins, some even really hate it, but Altcoins certainly have an important role on various exchanges, Altcoins will be worthless if they cannot be converted to Bitcoin, and crypto currency will not be in great demand if it only provides one type of coin

well, altcoin is not just one coin, but there are so many alternative coins that exist. however, I also have the opinion that most of the altcoins are very risky, and the worst risk is a scam. However, the thing that keeps people investing in altcoins is that they still provide huge returns, especially for altcoins that are really developing. Even though memecoin is basically a coin that has almost no value, there are still quite a lot of people investing in it. it's because of profit matters.

All altcoins are a big risk. Even bitcoin is a risky investment. If you buy it at the wrong time, for example before a bear market starts, you will have to wait for years to get your investment back. And it is not certain that you will be able to do it. You will also spend a lot of nerves knowing that your deposit is negative. But if you guessed the right time to buy, it can bring you a good profit.

All investments has risk, altcoins has high chance of sending one to hell, that's the difference I think but despite that, without Altcoins the market will never favour the poor no matter how they want to put, Bitcoin will remain only for the poor. Even with that, we can't depend only a single technology due to their limiations and transactions, it's an open market and open investment, nobody is limited with the type of coin they can buy, free decentralization and free open space to accomodate everyone.

In every bad coins or altcoins, there are pretty good ones their as well, look at ETH, BNB, ADA, these coins has perform very well that some persons has made good amount of money, even if you tell them to buy with bitcoin with the profit they have, they will prefer altcoins anyday.

We have the Altcoins seasons, where these coins hits their All time high price, we just need to have good entries in the market. This is why it is quite near impossible to have a bitcoin without having alts as well. Those things improve the blockchain world and what can be done with it and you need to accept that we need some of them otherwise it's just not going to work. I know that people are not excited about it as much as they could be, but we need to accept the terrible ones along with the good ones in order to continue.

I feel you. There are so many altcoin projects with no "substance" behind them. They're only created as a means to enrich developers themselves. Not to provide real use cases to the world. Since the industry is widely-unregulated, anyone can create and launch their own coin/token "without obstacles". The day mainstream governments require developers some sort of permission to launch a coin, will be the day when the "cleansing" begins.

This goes against the decentralized and open source nature of crypto/Blockchain tech, but it's for the best. Especially if we want to get rid of scam projects driven only by hype. Despite altcoins' setbacks, they're the only means through which developers can test "new features" before rolling them out on the main Bitcoin blockchain. Such has been the case with Litecoin since its inception. The more altcoins there are, the more Blockchain technology can be put up to the test. As long as decentralization wins, there should be nothing to worry about. Just my thoughts

You are right, not all altcoins can be profitable, but there is nothing wrong with choosing altcoins that have good potential, at least %10 of our assets should be altcoins, last year I invested in altcoins and saved in just 1 year, from the beginning I bought $1k and was able to get a profit of almost $200k, from that profit I bought altcoins again this year and hope to get that kind of profit again.

Not generalizing, but most of those new projects are designed for quick profits, same with what investors are aiming both are after with
short run and with such kind of investment possibility that investors will lose is far higher.

Better to stick with good assets that have good developing features, project that continue to stay solid even the market is not that friendly
for some time, you needed to work on your research and study before you jump in and invest your money.

So many mainstream medias recommending altcoins because they offer 5x profit from your initial investments and solely they are looking forward to invest in altcoins just for the profit and money.

It's easier to said than done, yet so many people struggles to find the "best" price to invest until today.

That's right, sometimes we think it's right and it turns out that the altcoin we bought can still go down, and even when we're going to sell it. If we are greedy the profits we are targeting will be lost

Altcoins can give you good returns that for sure but the same returns another altcoins may take it back along with the investment you made. Yes, the short term trading may give you benefit but one need to be good in technical analysis to have correct entry and exit. Also some(scam) may even not follow the technical analysis conclusions.
The important point is how to identify such scam projects before entering.
Having said so, good altcoins projects are need of blockchain networks like eth or bsc or other. With these dapps only they can grow.

Expecting profits of 50x, 80x or even 100x is too big an expectation. It would not be easy to find an Altcoin that provides that much profit if it were not for the fact that the coin is hype and is currently a trending topic.
Many shitcoins that appear can eventually rise hundreds of percent, but look at the risks and impacts. There will be many people who will lose.
Holding altcoins really has to be thought about, because there are many types of altcoins. only hold top altcoins if for the long term. Don't hold altcoins that will just be abandoned and not get any development.
