I was lucky to win a very big amount in a soccer match but the day I lost all my savings I almost got a heart because the pains refused to go away.

Most of the time my friends since this is our way to hangout but if I'm alone, my gambling activities will depend on my budget.
I've already experienced bad gambling where I don't have any control with my finances and lose everything, I've learned the lesson the hard way and will never do that again. Its also good that you have your support system to bounce back and rise again, now I'm more responsible and I'm not attracted in gambling that much anymore.

Basically, this gambling activity certainly has risks and everyone understands the risks and dangers of gambling if they are not able to control and manage it wisely and intelligently. But in fact, the more addicted a person is to gambling, this will make them even more unaware of these risks, only the will and image of winning that was always before them. But for those who are ordinary, gambling can be one of the usual activities, which brings money and provides fun things. Unfortunately, I myself am not at this stage yet, because I only gamble as necessary.

I was drawn to gambling because I view it as a means of generating income and because many of my friends have had financial success through gambling. When I first started, I also lost a lot—like ten times—but I never gave up because the friends who first introduced me to gambling told me to keep trying because one day I would win. I took their advice for a while, but when I kept trying but did not succeed, I tried to give up. I stopped betting for a while because I reasoned that I couldn't be wasting money when I could be using it for other things that would benefit my life.

But after a few days, I learned that my friend had won a sizable sum of money, which motivated me to start gambling once more, and my first wager after returning was successful in bringing in some money. Since then, I've been under the impression that gambling can make me wealthy and that someday I'll land a huge jackpot. then I begin raising my stake amounts consistently in an effort to earn a sizable sum of money.

So, with the belief that I will win a large sum of money at gambling, it has taken all of my courage to continue playing even when I am losing. But seriously, I have spent so much money there that I don't even remember the calculations, and now I never win that big amount, though occasionally I will win a small amount. However, I may say that the money I have wasted at gambling has not been worth 20% of the money I have used.

The lack of weekend activities attracted me to gambling. As someone whose daily life revolve around my work and keeping my place clean, I find it boring to not do anything after work, especially on weekends. The main measures that attracted me to gambling was the set of individuals I hanged out with. 80% of my friends are gamblers and that makes me one of them, I always watch and observed every step they take towards gambling both casinos and football which happens to be my favorite. I've been in the system for such a long time, I just need to concentrate on a particular gambling strategy that would yield profits every weekends. Losing is inevitable in the space, that's the only way we can learn to adapt to a strategy inother to avoid losses. Gambling is broad and dominated the entire space within years.

I treat gambling nothing but entertainment. I don't care to profit from it because I know what the odds are. That being said, live table games by evolution gaming are what peaked my interest along with crypto casinos. Never was interested in gambling in the past until crypto casinos became big. The word “Gambling” alone is enough to attract people towards it. People gets attracted towards gambling after knowing that they can get 2x or more of their base amount in just few mins. It's simple which is I can deposit small amount and doesn't require much fee when withdrawing my funds and the minimum amount before you can withdraw is not high and of course, bonuses I can avail in their gambling platform. It was an interest that I had when I was in high school. I wasn't originally going to, but hey, with the persuasion of friends to try it out we got to try it a bit together. It was only among us though, not through casinos or whatnot, just us, with our lunch money and stuff like that. I stopped after going to college, but after that, I got back into gambling, this time through casinos. It ultimately developed into habits, bank management, and then ended up with sports gambling altogether.

I attracted to gambling because of I have a lot free time and don't know what to do, so I choose to surfing on the internet and found a casino. I’m attracted to gambling during my childhood since my father is frequently playing billiards with money bet on the game. He is always winning and he keeps giving money using his gambling profit. This small gambling memories with my father start my interest on gambling when I have a chance during my highschool days with my classmates. We often playing computer games like counter strike and dota while placing bets against other school.

My biggest win on this kind of gambling is when I bet half of my tuition fee that time since I’m stidying on private school. The money is not that huge but it’s significant to me because it’s for the sake of my education. We won that game on a very crucial fight. I never done it again ever since experiencing a life changing lose that result to my greediness during my younger age.

Gambling is going to be good for everyone who bet disciplined and remember that it is not a job or way to make money, it's purely chances of luck so it can go both ways, that is why it has been told that never bet more than you can afford to lose and the amount varies to everyone.

So as an individual it's our responsibility As an individual it is our responsibility to determine a gambling budget that is within your financial means and never bet more than you can comfortably afford to lose. Since the person you mentioned in OP clearly took a chance with 80% of his life savings haven't acted what he is supposed to be.

I was introduced to gambling back when I was a kid. 11 or 12 maybe. It's a card game with just a little amount of money at stake. After that, it become a hobby of ours but it had always just been a friendly game. It's better because we are not playing against the house but just battling with each other, we don't even need to pay anything while enjoying the game.
Today, it's way different, because most people don't have any friends near them or it's against the law to play it outside unlike before when we can freely do it outside. Also, the big difference is we have the option to play online with easy access to gambling platforms, I don't even need to look for anyone to play a game of cards, it's just one click away from my computer and presto you can gamble until your wallet run dry. Although the winning chance against the house is slim, people are still coming back to try their luck, which is actually what I do now.
Beating the house though seems impossible upon trying many times.

Though I've had losses in gambling but I've never had such a sad one like he's, I was introduced to gambling by a coursemate in college who won a jackpot, thought I lost in my first three trials but played again and won about 80k in my local currency, there are people that's made millions through gambling and some others are yet to win but still find it difficult to quit, share your experience if you have any whether good or bad, cause I believe there are people here who would learn from it.

Many people got into gambling because of the potential they saw with gambling giving them a way out of their poverty situations. Gambling is the last hope of any man to make money, I got into gambling after trying several means to make money but couldn't then I gambled.

My experience in gambling hasn't been what I expected as if I was lucky like some of the lottery winners I won't be here today writing this as I'll be enjoying my life on an isolated island somewhere in the middle of no where but we thank God the stories isn't sorrowful.

Without gambling many people would had gone into crimes because of trying the get an income to bring home to their family. Gambling has saved many lives although it has destroyed many too but that's because those people refuse to follow the rules to avoid addiction.

I'm sorry op's friend lost 80% of savings by betting all that money on one game. Having 20% of savings is better than having no savings, and I hope that he will be able to gradually recover from this loss, as well as learn not to bet what he's not ready to lose.
I've never had big gambling losses (proportionately to my financial situation), and I don't think that the idea of winning a lot attracted me to gambling. I think my first gambling experience (unless we count gambling-like activities for kids) was playing dice. What I liked was how fast-paced it can be, how easy it was to experiment with betting strategies. But still, I was careful with my budget, and it all turned out okay.

Your friend is too greedy because he wants big wins and uses 80% of his savings to gamble. He shouldn't have done it and remembered that gambling is not a place to make money. Actually he can also bet with small money but indeed, the winnings are also small but it's worth the risk he will accept. And if he uses big money, he also runs the risk of losing big too, where most people can't afford to take that big risk, especially if they really lose a lot of money. We have to manage our gambling and don't need to bet with big money because we always have to avoid big losses and that's the right way. And if we could think of gambling as entertainment and nothing more, we'd be fine.

It was just simply by the magic and beauty of starting with a small amount of money then suddenly the outcome of having a huge amount of money. In my case, when I was a kid there's a small game outside my school that many kids literally went there straight after school. Of course it's a gambling called color game which is very popular here in the Philippines. I became curious why they think it was fun to risk your small allowance? So I tried, started with small amount then shouting that "BLUEEE" since I betted at blue. The fun it gives to me was fun as it also gives you the excite and thrilling experience every round of the game. So after winning some money of course I would treat myself and come back tomorrow for me to treat again myself since I'm good at this game.

Mine was mostly trying to have some fun. Back in the days when I first met with crypto and satoshidice (first crypto gambling system) there was no online betting in my nation, there were few tries, but nothing to wildly popular and I didn't really trusted them to be fair.

So with the crypto one, I would be sitting at home and gambling instead of going out to gamble at the place physically, that was a tiring thing and rather not do that if I could. In the end I ended up with a situation where I kept on gambling more and more and had to stop eventually. Know I am much better, limiting myself and gambling responsibly just to have fun with the mindset of knowing I am not going to make a profit on the long term and should only have fun as my goal.
