In my opinion you should be very aware of the trends and market cap don't go with the top coins list because it's not worth it without deep research.These lists are mostly generated by non experience traders yet it can serve you as a tool to do thorough research of market buy don't rely On it completely.

Coins like Sol, ETH ,BNB, Doge etc are good choices but it all depends on whether you want quick profits or a long time investment, invest accordingly.

Polygon/matic is my next play.  It's a hair over $1 as we speak so 20k will net you over 19,000 coins.  That project has moved along nicely even in the face of the last bear market.  They have recovered a lot better than some of the other large cap altcoins and think this is only the beginning of their move.  I can realistically see $5-7 during the next bull run.  Anything more than that is the cherry on top.

If you want to invest in this important period of the market, I can definitely recommend you to invest in Ethereum, the top coin among altcoins. If you invest all your money in Ethereum then surely you will get success more than 10x during bull season in the market. If I had $20,000 right now, I would definitely buy Ethereum with that $20,000 and wait until the bull market. So I definitely suggest you to invest in Ethereum among altcoins.

these days now? i will choose bitcoin mate though sorry if this is about altcoins but I can have half of bitcioin with that amount so I will not risk in shitcoins or other altcoins instead for the ranking one an as the halving is near coming knowing that there is also ETF on the table definitely bitcoin will hype any time this year or the next.

If I have $20,000 and prepare to invest that $20,000 then of course I will prepare to buy Ethereum, BNB, Solana and XRP coins because these three coins that I have invested will increase a lot when the bull run starts in Bitcoin market. As we are currently pumping the market we can see these three coins that I have selected go up a lot. But I am not sitting still I am investing in these three coins. I hope to have better success next bull season.

diversification is best also  knowing that we have so much expecting in next halving maybe I may add those if given extra funds but for now I will still choose bitcoin.

Holding for bull season is the right decision but before investing in altcoins one should be careful as if they are not good coins they don't increase in value much during bull season. There are many investors who take risks by investing without checking the market. You bought VRA ok but eth and bnb will perform better during bull season.

If you have 20k dollars then of course you can choose bitcoin, ethereum and BNB coins to invest. First of all you should invest in Bitcoin because Bitcoin has been in the market for a long time with trust and all investors have invested their money in this coin. And secondly invest in ethereum coin and BNB coin as altcoin, if you invest in these coins, you will surely recover and get benefit very easily.

Currently there is a growth of matic/polygon market in this pumping market but I don't think there is much growth in the market. At the moment unique coin has recovered much of its market share but there Matic/Polygon has not recovered much but in the next bull market Matic/Polygon will go as predicted by you but if I only invest in Ethereum I will be exposed to other currencies in the next bull season any  Ethereum will not make a very good position. If Bitcoin is at $100,000 then Ethereum will be at $10,000.

Investing twenty thousand dollars in just altcoins seems too risky in this bull market.  So if I have the ability to invest $20,000 then I would definitely invest $10,000 in Bitcoin as the first choice.  The remaining $10,000 I will divide into five parts and invest in the top 5 coins in the coin market.  I don't want to invest in any new altcoins but the best old coins in the coil market have a high chance of price correction.

Almost all coins have undergone a price correction in this bull market, and Shiba Inu has already increased several thousand times. You are right that investing everything in altcoins isn't a safe choice but since this is the altcoin section and the question is about altcoins, I think we are supposed to talk about altcoins and not Bitcoin even if we know we shouldn't be investing everything we have in altcoins since it is extremely risky.

I agree with what you say though that one shouldn't invest in such a high amount in altcoins that they aren't confident about or are sure that they are going to give good returns when the market enters the bull run or just gets into the positive side.

These days, people are so eager to invest in new cryptocurrencies because they have seen that newly launched cryptocurrencies provide higher profits and it's true in most cases, however, they carry extreme risks as well.

Just make all those altcoins your choice and you will be happy to make such choice to invest huge amount of money on them because, the team behind them are potential teams which many investors have tested positive results from them during the bull run.

Op, you created this topic in 2023, I don't know which coins you selected? What is your current investment status? If you had invested the entire amount in Bitcoin, you would have made a lot of profit today. However, $20k is a good amount to invest. Since investing in altcoins is riskier than bitcoin, if I had $20k I would invest 60% in bitcoin and 40% in some of the top altcoins. I used to invest 20% in Ethereum and 5% in BNB coin, 5% in Solana, 5% in MATIC, 5% in DOGE, hopefully still investing in these coins will give a lot of profit in future.

There are some altcoins you can select to invest with that amount and the top three are Ethereum, Solana and add up with Eloncoin. I think you can make some research on the above mentioned altcoins to invest and I will also advise you to invest foe long term and not a short term because investing in altcoins with the mindset of short term might disappoint you. Those ones are mentioned if only you have not selected anyone or altcoins from the creation of the thread.

Wanting to make such a large amount, you must invest carefully as you are doing in altcoins. The market is risky so if you think fit to invest in the top 10 altcoins. If there are meme coins among the top coins then I would ask to leave them out because the wif, pepe, sandbox, pixel, NotCoins you mentioned are not guaranteed for the future bull season. You can lose everything if you get attracted to such meme coins in hopes of high lure. Investing $20k in various percentages in coins like Ethereum BNB, Solana would be a good decision as they can perform well during bull season with very little guarantee of losing money.

Also many may say to invest $20k buy only bitcoins but I would say it is better to choose few coins to invest $20k. I am going to mention here some coins on which one can invest 20 thousand dollars and get good success from it in the next bull season. But my favorite coins are:
