I don't think bitcoin is a good coin to gamble with. The price of Bitcoin is not volatile as other altcoins, so you might not make money within a short period. Gamblers are motivated by quick money and bitcoin hardly gives such an opportunity. To make money from bitcoin, you have to hold the coin for some time until the price goes up. Addiction is not good behavior, so I don't even encourage anyone to be addicted to even investing in bitcoin. Even as an altcoin gambler, there should be self-control. Addiction to altcoin gambling will still not be good for his finance because he might not make investments decision based on knowledge but because of his uncontrollable drive to gamble. There is a difference between a gambler and a gambling addict. It's not actually bad to talk to a gambler about bitcoin investment. But not to a gambling addict, because gambling addicts are impatient and unpredictable, they don't have the time to wait for their Bitcoin investment to yield meaningful returns. If a gambler wants to be an investor, they can do it with stocks, gold...or any other form of investment. Your idea makes me feel that you are looking at bitcoin as another form of gambling than an investment. Bitcointalk can't solve gambling addiction problems and bitcointalk isn't the right place to look for money to solve your problem if you lack money. Investing in altcoins is considered a gamble, but investing in it also requires a lot of knowledge and experience, even more knowledge of investing in altcoins than bitcoin. Let's just know that many of these people that are involved in gambling and bet and lose always are also aware of Bitcoin investment and other businesses that may bring them profit in the future, but due to their eagerness for instant profits they think that they will be making, they decided to choose gambling ahead of Bitcoin investment and other opportunities with less risk. It's easy as it may seem. If you're trying to advocate investing in Bitcoin for these gambling addicts, there's no assurance that they'd listen to you. I am sure that there have been other people that were concerned with them and gave them advice but, they never listened to anybody.
Much better is just to let remind them of what's good for them but don't force them to do something that they don't wanna do. It's good that you're spreading that investing in Bitcoin is good but, you're unsure if they might like the idea of it.
