Well, even if the news is true, I still have not found any Distribution service providers for my region, as none are available. Now, if there is no one in my jurisdiction, then how will I get my funds back on the 18th? Did anyone esle also having the similar issues ?
This is crazy, i believe they are working with two distribution service providers and that is BitGo and Kraken, so does that mean that this two services do not offer their services to customers from your jurisdiction, or is ftx just being fishy here. Now i completely understand how frustrating this is for you as a creditor, and if they are trying to make sure it is hard for people to get their money, then it sucks.

This is kind of new to me. So Quoine/Liquid.com were part of FTX?

I used to have an inactive account there some time back, but it got disabled. When I visited the site today, I saw this notification

When I check the claims portal(https://claims.ftx.com/welcome) I do see liquid as one of the listed platforms.

It's frustrating to complete all the requirements, KYC, and also fill out the tax information, and now again, I'm stuck at this point.

I am glad I never continued with the KYC verification. I had dust amounts in there anyway. It looks like the refunds will be made to those from Europe, USA, and other developed countries that have strict financial regulation. Those from the rest of the world will be the last choice, perhaps. A very absurd development, especially given the fact that FTX was a global platform that welcomed users from different corners of the world

That's unfortunate. They should have been aware that FTX was catering to people all around the world. This was already an issue before, but FTX was saying more platforms will be added. Options will be provided to those who couldn't choose either of the available platforms. Well, distribution has already started and many creditors are still stuck in the pre-distribution process.

I wonder if OP has already reached out to FTX's support. They're saying those who have issues in selecting a distribution service provider will have to contact support@ftx.com. They're probably cognizant of this problem.

If they won't be able to receive their refunds in this batch and they're qualified claimants, they'll probably be included in the next batch of distribution which starts on May 30.

yes and the problem is that ftx estate converted crypto held on liquid at ridiculous prices (btc 16k, some alts = 0) although japanese regulator required to fully segregate assets so liquid customer balances should be available in kind

I believe so too, as long as a creditor has passed kyc in the customer claims portal, i think they have to get their funds back, because how is it their fault that neither of the distribution service providers operate in their country, ftx should have provided more options to ensure that all their creditors will have at least one service eligible in their jurisdiction. The whole process is frustrating, and i can understand why a claimant with a very small claim may give up on the whole process.

FTX is aware of this problem beforehand. This was raised many times by so many users. However, it remained unaddressed even until the actual distribution started. All it did was let them wait for additional options that never came. FTX just doesn't stop messing up with its users.

I've read that certain countries like Ukraine, Egypt, Russia, Nigeria, China, and others are left out in the distribution. I'm certain users from these countries make up a considerable portion of FTX's claimants. Now, they'll be waiting for another 3 months at least.

While FTX announces its 4th phase distribution, we are still left with no option but to wait and see what happens to our funds, as our claims aren't fully registered, as there were no distribution services providers available in our jurisdiction.

Today, I tried to open the portal again to see if there are any further options/instructions for me, but I couldn't even log in to the claim portal now as they sent the OTP to my email, but it never arrived.

Anyone here who was lucky enough to get these details fulfilled and got any refunds in early distributions  Huh

I never heard yet someone got successfully refunded, although there are news that it will be done on the last week of march. This is earlier than what i expected, other exchanges who had the same issue (bankruptcy) takes so many years especially mt gox to make a refund. But let's wait until it happened then.

You're from Pakistan, correct? I feel terribly sorry for you. My reply was posted more than a year ago. It reeks of incompetence and discrimination if the same concerns remain unaddressed until now when the 4th phase is incoming. What steps were you taking, by the way? And were they responsive? My goodness! Angry

I've read a number of posts sharing they got their funds back. This was as early as last year. Not here though, but on Reddit.

What I'm hoping for is that those who are still stuck in Limbo because of their jurisdictions like OP will finally be included in the refunds soon.
