I do not understand when you say that greed has to do with the illusion of control, and about player influencing the outcome of the game.  What I understand about greed is being not contented with the winnings and aiming to get more.  This often results in bankroll depletion because as we aim for higher winnings, there is a possibility of losing the bets and triggering chasing wins, or chasing losses when our bankroll starts to get depleted.

Or you can keep continue with small bet. There's no need to be greedy. The big bet can be done for those who have unlimited sum of money. The small fish shall not be greedy.
