What's behind such restriction is getting banned, as a newbie, you're expected to learn and read more than you post, be active on the forum, get used to the forum's boards, policy after which you would have understood that rules and regulations, if you follow the due process you will not have any issue with the forum members or taste ban, also ensure you keep up with the advice and suggestions given to you by other members, read them.

It would be in their best interest if they take their time to read properly so as to gain knowledge about the platform. Getting updated keeps them informed of the happenings in the Bitcoin development and onboard this community too. So if they decide to do the  needful by learning first before getting engaged with activities here that would properly sharpen them to making good contributions and conversations because from the post and replies they might have come across while still learning would have given them insight on how to make replies to some certain type of post.

Lastly, when it comes to restrictions or banning of account, we all know that such owner possibly did go against the platform rules and are likely meant to face their waterloo but OP should be able to avoid plagiarism as that is one of the major reasons newbies get banned on this platform. Do well to reference your copied articles and write up if need be and quote reply if you  deem a members post worth the reply.

Maybe he just got busy with other things in real life or something happened. I hope he'll come back and read all those replies to get more informed about Bitcointalk. There are plenty of useful replies in this topic and I'm pretty sure many newbies will gain a lot of information by reading them.
