i really wonder how people fall for these kinds of trap

i mean maybe those really tempted by money would have all their logic thrown out of the window once they see the amount being given to them but still wouldn’t they be more careful knowing they have wallets and assets to protect? why give it carelessly even for this much big of amount? even for newbies?

no one can’t possibly think this is charity i can’t even think of a possible excuse why would they give you this much money without requiring any effort or time from you this is why being a critical thinker is a must!
Of course they fall into this trap because they are greedy, lack knowledge and don't look for information first when getting an airdrop link or something like that which requires us to connect a wallet or have to follow the airdrop.

Honestly, every day I get airdrop invitations on Telegram, but I don't care, I just block them. That's the best way we can do it because there is no free airdrop without being given a task. I'm not saying all airdrops are scams, there are also airdrops that make more money like tesnet and running its project nodes.

The lack of common sense of greedy people is incomprehensible for those that are not dazzled by it, as instead of wondering why would anyone share that amount of money with them and become suspicious about such an offer, those people get happy due to the sudden opportunity that came knocking on their door and they rush as fast as possible to take advantage of it, and in their hurry they are bound to make many mistakes that scammers can then use to their advantage.

I've seen people getting happy after receiving such offers when they have newly started using the internet or maybe after getting involved with stuff like online earning or cryptocurrencies, etc. The reason is that they are too naïve to understand and lack basic knowledge about how things work, their mindsets are different in the beginning because they always hear people saying that they have made a lot of money from cryptocurrencies and they have this image in their mind that cryptocurrencies can make someone rich overnight.

I was once a newbie, all of us were, and I don't blame them for any of that, a newbie in a new industry is like a child who knows nothing and will believe or do anything that they are asked to do because they think it is going to do something good for them instead of thinking critically about the situation.

Without a doubt we all started with a very limited amount of knowledge about this market, and the more I think about the more surprised I get about all the things I have learned over the years, however if newbies at least realized their level of ignorance about the market then they will be on guard and refuse most offers that seems to be too good to be true, but instead they are too gullible and believe whatever they read, and really think they can earn a fortune in a short amount of time.

There’s no such thing as free money on airdrop especially if the amount involved is surreal. On your screenshot, you received approximately 500USD without any effort to claim it while legit airdrop needs participantion in both investments and time to use the networks before they gave you an airdrop.

Do you check already the smart contract of this token. You will notice if this token is legit or not if there a buy and sell transaction on the DEX it was listed and the smart contract has a lot of transaction history including the recent one.

Well, I agree that even though projects intend to share their tokens with the community, they usually ask to do something, for example trying out their features, making swaps or transactions on their network and so on.
and no one gets anything for free without doing anything, especially not in a bull market.

Just cancel it, that's an old school thing to scam someone. Saying you're not into airdrops yet you've been named as an active user is likely the biggest lie you've received. That may be a few dollars to receive something huge but you'll just be deceive thinking you'll get it but you will not.
Not sure why he did not do it but maybe He is still interested hoping that one day this will have any value or he will withdraw the amount  Grin Grin

But what you said is correct that this is how scammer works now  promising you or showing you a winner but how could you win when you did not even participating  ?
and active user when OP does not even know what truly is that activity telling here  .

This is one of the method many scam projects uses to scam there victims. We don't have to fall for this kind of cheap technique used by scammers. Someone that have not participate in airdrop for long might think that this is real. It is very good when we ask questions because many have fell for this kind of scam and will be waiting to get the coin they paid gas fee for.

So many bad projects polluting the Crypto sphere and that should not make us see the crypto market as a bad option. We need to make sure we do our diligent research or ask questions here in the forum if we don't understand a particular crypto project that look like a scam to us.

Be very mindful with links you click on trying to get on airdrops, some of these links aren't real and they are used mainly for phishing and as such they could gain access to your wallet, this is most common when they will request you Link your wallet to be able to claim the airdrop. Secondly to be sure any project is legitly carrying out an airdrop, make sure to first confirm on their official website or discord and telegram channels if they have one, if there's no confirmation on any of these platforms that they are currently Carrying out airdrop then obviously any other you see out there are most likely scam and you should be very careful about them.

Honestly the huge amount of coin involved make a lot of newbies to become greedy and get carried away, if someone who is been involved in crypto for long would know that it's a red flag in my Twitter account I do recieve messages that I had won huge amount of money but expected to send some Ethereum to them as gas fee which I knew is scam unfortunately some newbies would easily fall for this scam, I was also in similar telegram group sometimes ago where links on airdrops were shared on the platform but was cautious of several demand for sending of transaction fee whose value is huge on an Airdrop whose future is not feasibly and  without a roadmap by it developers

I have these coin but not as many as you get and my method is different, not from participating in an airdrop. I simply install the sweatcoin app on my phone, then your travel steps can be exchanged for sweatcoins at any time

Newbies mistakenly believe that since bitcoin was able to grow in value so much that any coin will be able to do the same, so they try to claim as many airdrops as possible and they collect them as they see them as their tickets to a new life full of wealth and luxuries, but they do not seem to realize the massive risks they are taking by doing such a thing as they are exposing themselves massively, and a single mistake or a mistaken click can make them to lose whatever holdings they may had at the time as they get hacked or scammed while trying trying to obtain those airdrops.

I think airdrop is unless right now and if a successful project giving then it will be small money. Honestly a top project never give you token and they don't allow airdrop. Because after receiving the airdrops token, their investors can reduce their project by crush dumping price. Actually airdrop is a way in which a project uses to conduct its promotion activities. Couldn’t believe airdrop and avoid it always.

There was so much spam for this project on social media like twitter and telegram. That project is real, but their airdrop wasn't that profitable. People got a lot of token but it was with some vesting contracts that only allowed a limited number of token to be traded in the exchange. I'm not sure if that project is still running or not but the hype it got was amazing, and i think it was listed in some top crypto exchanges as well. Few of my friendsd told me about the project as well that it is going to do multipleX profits though i wasn't interested.

Sweetcoin is real for some investors, I believe that's one of the abandoned project in they system but some investors just develop a particular mentality of growth, we can't expect to reap whatever we know fully we didn't sow, that's never going to happen. We stop investing in projects that have shown us absolutely zero signs of improvement, they're always putting roadways which you're uncleared and uninformed about. I'm care in whatever activities I indulges in and there are a whole lot to deal with. I believe every project in the system tends to give airdrops after successfully been innovated into the system.

Op I think this is too good to be true how can sweet coin just airdrops you with $479.80, I mean who does that? I just want to let you know that there are lots of fake or scam airdops around, telegram is one of the favourite social media used in scamming people because you cannot have any trace of who the scammer behind the account is, so many scammer having this knowledge will always refer you to telegram. Talking about scam, I have also seen a lot of scam mining pool online, which after mining for months the end is just not pleasing.

It's a big scam of the century. I think u have don several airdrop on telegram and received the coin on my trust wallet but unable to swap because of low liquidity. You might even set the tolerance to 30 buy still unable to swap. When ever you are told to pay some certain amount of TRX or USDT or any other Crypto currency, just bear it in mind that you about being scammed. Because you will send them real coin and they give you junk in exchange for it. Which is useless. So its a red flag and also a no go area.

I was about to get amazed if that is for real money and if you have reached that through running and earning that sweat coin.
But that is a good warning for those that they think they are blessed to receive some random airdrops and gift because nothing is free anymore today.
A scam that tells you earn this but you need to send money first is an outright scam.

Airdrop without performing any kind of task and that to through a telegram bot. Yeah, all signs are pointing towards a scam and the name is big red flag. What I find intresting is how it shows the USD price of those coins. Any newbie will fall for the amount and give access to the wallet. Stay away from such airdrops as nothing comes free now days in cryptocurrency world.

It will be very stupid if you believe in this scam, many scams operate by promising unrealistic rewards, preying on people's trust. This kind of message should go to the spam section, there is no need to even go into it and delve into it, as they said earlier, there is no easy money.

There are lots of broadcasts like that on Telegram as if we are getting a reward, if you never feel like following it is just a scam, it's not real,
If it is true that airdrops provide great value, there must be conditions that they previously provided but were not published. Let's take the example of a large first reward from an exchange such as Uniswap which requires transactions before the specified month and to claim it also requires funds which are not given for free.
