There’s no such thing as free money on airdrop especially if the amount involved is surreal. On your screenshot, you received approximately 500USD without any effort to claim it while legit airdrop needs participantion in both investments and time to use the networks before they gave you an airdrop.

Do you check already the smart contract of this token. You will notice if this token is legit or not if there a buy and sell transaction on the DEX it was listed and the smart contract has a lot of transaction history including the recent one.

Just cancel it, that's an old school thing to scam someone. Saying you're not into airdrops yet you've been named as an active user is likely the biggest lie you've received. That may be a few dollars to receive something huge but you'll just be deceive thinking you'll get it but you will not.

Getting a random message from unknown user in telegram or whatever social media is with 99.9% certainty a scam. Some times someone wants to talk to you about the specific thing you said in the channel, but these chats are never about giving or sending money/airdrops.

When the message says confirm, or you need to click any kind of link or "send eth to:" like this one does, it's a 100% scam. Not even a good scam. But apparently people still fall for them, which is the main reason these still keep happening.

Usually for an airdrop, the coin company spends the transaction fees and not the receivers. So I am 100% sure it's a scam and pretty common one. If some company is so great enough to give you a free $500, they would have money to cover the transaction cost.

Just delete the telegram channel or block it completely. Otherwise they will keep annoying you and might send some malicious things to your telegram ID. So better not to involve in any communication.

I've heard of that project before but no idea where they are right now. And if it's from Telegram that suddenly tries to give you money for free, that's the sign of being a red flag already.

Whether it's sweat coin or bitcoin that they're going to give you as an airdrop. Do not believe them because worse might come to you when you're greedy and they give them to you the instructions on what you must do in claiming it.

This is a scam attempt because no legit airdrop will ask you to pay certain fees into a wallet just like demanded in the screenshots you shared,  and this is already a known scam in the airdrop market where scammers promise huge airdrop reward balance and displaying a fake valence on the airdrop page as rewards but the bounty hunter will need to pay certain fees in Ethereum, sometimes they call the fees as a gas fee to send the airdrop rewards to you.

But the real intention is to take the fees and walk away without any form of rewards or contact with the victim,  so you have to avoid such airdrop.

Scam any airdrops you are being asked to send fee is automatically scam and you need to delete and report that bot before more people would fall victim of that scam. Normally i don't allow something like this as is another ugly way to trapped participants, sometimes after sending that required amount they would still request for addition payment that gas fee isn't enough to cover the transaction fees and the next you could see is failed in transaction try increase your gas fees to be able to withdraw your coin and swap instantly at exchange. Actually that coin could be real but they are only impersonate that project by running a fake airdrops.

I don't think this one is real. Personally, from experience, I don't like involving myself in airdrops from telegram groups , 99.9% of them also turn out to be fake and dubious.

I agree with you totally. These days most airdrops come as a result of performing tasks, using their testnet or swapping the token, or by holding certain tokens. It doesn't just fall from the sky, sacrifices must be made.

Sweat coin is not currently doing any activity related to an airdrop as far as I know. They only had an activity prior to their public launch where users gets rewarded in sweat coins depending on the amount of steps they make in a period of time. That was before their partnership with NEAR protocol. So if you're being told you're eligible, you are not. You're most likely going to expose your wallet to a drainer if the scam message needs you to submit your signature or sign a transaction.

I wouldn't touch the link with a 10th foot pole if I were you.

Yeah, and you better remain that way because 90% of telegram deals are all scams so you must have to protect yourself against that,  and more also,  bounty and airdrops are mostly scams and at that, you should avoid engaging in them excessively.

Like the one ops share is a total scam and the aim is to swindle them of the fees the scammers are asking for,  because experience from past events has made most of us open to seeing red flags faster than any other person and it is hard for a scammer to escape our eagle eyes since we are constantly looking out for such attempts.

I agree with you totally. These days most airdrops come as a result of performing tasks, using their testnet or swapping the token, or by holding certain tokens. It doesn't just fall from the sky, sacrifices must be made.

This is entirely not true, as most of these scam airdrops are swappable to some point, and even if you scan their smart contract, you will see the dex option, which shows that there is swapping going on on that coin or token. But when you look at those executed trades, you will notice two things. Either the trading is just conducted by a few whitelisted addresses, which will probably belong to the team, or the airdropper is only allowed to swap 0.1%–1% of their total holdings. This number depends on the airdrop, which is why if you try to swap such a small amount, you will have to spend more than what the token cost you as a transaction fee, starting from the approval page to that of transaction confirmation, with slippage up to 12%, leaving the victims with nothing to go home with.

So checking the smart contract alone is not enough to prove if the token is real or not. Scammers are becoming smarter every day, and sometimes all they need is for you to click on their dex or Web3 dapp, which they will ask you to use in swapping your reward.

You have to confirm everything first to the https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/sweat-economy community if they are doing an airdrop and if this is the real sweatcoin that you are interacting also check the other's experience do not be in a hurry to connect your wallet, airdrop bot are notorious in scamming people they know how greedy some people are and they are fast to take action on airdrop than doubting and asking the community first, you have done the right thing posting it so people will be aware of this.

I also received an airdrop they are being traded on Gecko terminal but based on what others are saying on that airdrop the contract is configured in a way that you cannot trade all of it and my trying to trade all of it you will have to spend huge fee for that transaction this is a new scheme of scammers.

That's not how token airdrops work. This is the most obvious scam attempt. They send thousand of people to this same message and asking for a small amount, you don't believe how many of people fall for this scam. Obviously, such scam attempts are very common in Telegram, same with Twitter and Discord. Don't click anywhere you see suspicious and don't send money to anyone. Even the official accounts of the projects can be hacked and send such announcements. You should also pay attention to them.

I don't think this one is real. Personally, from experience, I don't like involving myself in airdrops from telegram groups , 99.9% of them also turn out to be fake and dubious.

You're right, only a newbie will take airdrops on telegram groups serious. You register and when you are done, they ask for you to send usdt to a certain wallet so they can send your rewards. Only a fool will be gullible enough to fall for their gimmick.

Do you check already the smart contract of this token. You will notice if this token is legit or not if there a buy and sell transaction on the DEX it was listed and the smart contract has a lot of transaction history including the recent one.

Of what use is having a token in your wallet that you can not swap? Is it not fraudulent to send someone a token that you know can never be swapped because of the way and manner the smart contract has been configured.

So,.you saying it's not entirely true probably means you have been to benefit from airdrops on telegram groups, but for me, I have never been able to do so, and that's why I said they are mostly scam and dubious.

From my own experience this is totally a scam because I encountered this scam. No one wants to pay someone without working and it's just airdrop paying 600+ dollars for it is a little surprising. It just deducts your fee when doing the exchange. If you block these Telegram channels then they can't bother you anymore.

Of what use is having a token in your wallet that you can not swap? Is it not fraudulent to send someone a token that you know can never be swapped because of the way and manner the smart contract has been configured.

It seems you misunderstood the whole explanation above, as I never said it was a good thing for you to have a token that you cannot trade in your wallet, nor should it be considered something good to send someone a token that cannot be swapped. My explanation above purportedly points out that Checking the smart contract alone to see if there is a buy and sell transaction is not enough to determine if the token is a scam or not; one should go deeper in research than just relaying on the information gotten from the contract address. Where did you read me say, It's good to have tokens that can't be traded in your wallet ?

So,.you saying it's not entirely true probably

I must have misunderstood your point altogether. I thought you were responding to the fact that I said that airdrops on telegram are mostly fake, but going back to check, I can see that you where actually responding to to guy who said the OP should check for buying/selling function on the smart contract.
Anyway, sorry if I wrong you, was never intended. Peace.

A scam attempt obviously. This had been their new scheme to victim those who are new to cryptocurrencies.
I would just ignore this if I were you, but if you are willing to play with them and waste time and money in transaction fees then do so.
The era of free money by means of airdrop is done and I don't think it will be back. That was years ago during the ICO days but today most airdrops are either dust or they are playing with you with a scam attempt on the side.
I'd just work for it if I were in this position, there are projects who offer bounties and sometimes they could be profitable if done correctly.

You only get disappointed from joining this frenzy shit token. Yeah, it looks tempting and promising but don't get too easy with that trick as scammers will take advantage of your action and sooner they will get you and fall into their trap. Just think about that there is no free money exists, that was the truth and all they've said is a big lie. You're big enough to put into their pocket, I guess. So, never think it was real but instead, put that message ignore or better delete it.

Telegram airdrop bots now are mostly scams that's why always be vigilant when doing this but sweat coin project is real though and listed of some exchange in the market. Having such huge amount in that kind of airdrop more likely will end up a scam and asking funds to unlock or received it is typically a scam tactics.

I've been collecting this coin SWEAT for steps since the beginning, as a result when they launched it the price was different and the tokens were frozen. I've made a lot more on TFS in that time without having to constantly go round and round about it

Most of scam airdrop for telegram section and definitely falling into their scams can cost you money. A good project may give you free tokens but you must have their main tokens in your wallet beforehand. Also, a project will never give you free money without purchasing some kind of token. So those who promote fake airdrop want to collect their own wallet key from you.

I haven't seen such primitive scams for a long time. This is a type of airdrop, where they lure you with the amount of the airdrop itself, and therefore the happy user is ready to press all the buttons and go anywhere, just to try to cash this airdrop. It's what they're counting on. Avoid such airdrops, as well as any unknown coins that suddenly appeared on your wallet. It could be phishing.

To be honest I am hearing this coin or token name first time. However, after going to Coin Marketcap and looking at its details, I realized that it is a decent alternative coin. But I would say you should definitely not rely on all these Telegram bots for air drops. Because most of these bot airdrops are scams and the most important thing is that no virus or malware can attack your device through these boards. So it is better to keep distance from all these

they request 0,01 eth for sending 498 USD of a "generic-token".
in a telegram message.
did you think this can be real? you don't see nothing strange just by your self?
you are the real owner of the answer Wink

of course this is just a scam.
if they are providing really free cash everywhere with random message ( Roll Eyes ) why not cover few bucks for transaction fee? that's why there are no doubts...

Sweat coin has been in existence for as long as I can remember now. I only took notice of it while getting ads alert on my device, I downloaded it and tried it. I must say any scammer would likely use the fact that it is gaining customers to strike at the right time.
It is quite interesting for the simple fact of walking and earning and that's why, until it has survived as long, perhaps as long as BTC has existed, then will it become easy to say it is safe from scammers in the slightest bit.
Many coins on the network are not meant to last long. Check out the idea behind sweat coin creation, with the live Sweat Economy price today at $0.006143 USD and with a 24-hour trading volume of $2,406,740 USD.

Until you can withdraw or transfer your funds or trade with it for now, sweat coin is just a coin that can easily be a scam project.

$479 reward when participating in airdrop?. As what I have known, almost all airdrops reward their participants around $5 to $20 which is very rare where most of the airdrop rewards are $5 to $10 when I joined airdrops before. Right now airdrops are a waste of time except when the task is very simple and the project that started the airddrop is legit then you'll receive a reward in the future but only a small amount as I have said about the airddrop rewards.

Better ignore or block it for safety purposes. I have heard of this coin before since there are people who have fallen for it but I don't think they are running a Telegram airdrop right now so what you received could be an old school type of scam. It's something that you should ignore.
You shouldn't trust telegram airdrops that much because most scammers are running their fake projects and airdrops there. It is weird if you'll receive too good to be true prizes even if you didn't join any promotion or campaign so you have to be very careful.

I've heard of that project before but no idea where they are right now. And if it's from Telegram that suddenly tries to give you money for free, that's the sign of being a red flag already.
Have already heard about the project before, they will reward you according to amount of steps you take in a day, but I think the project is know where to be found anymore, and I don’t think their is any free money in cryptocurrency, most of the message you will receive on telegram requesting you to participate in airdrop are scam, so we all have to be very careful so that we won’t fall victim, nobody is going to share free money for you, they will rather take from you.

Do not believe them because worse might come to you when you're greedy and they give them to you the instructions on what you must do in claiming it.
Most of those airdrops will send you a link to connect your wallet, they are just trying to hack your wallet and steal all the coin you are having in the wallet, that’s why am always discouraging airdrops. Mostly they are always targeting newbies which they know they don’t really know much about cryptocurrency yet, they believe those are the set of people that can be scammed easily.

Xal0lex - I'm sure some greedy user will follow the instructions and they will find a way out how to cash out the token. Not sure if someone from the community has been scammed by the above airdrop - but it seems the value is too tempting for some newbie.

To be honest, I'm not familiar with the airdrop case - of course, because I ignored it from the start. If they expect you to pay some money so you can claim your airdrop - then ignore it, it looks like a scam.

So am not all that into airdrop but some of my guys have been disturbing like hell to take part saying of these airdrop do actually pay so I later let me send me some airdrop link and I tried this one particular one {sweat coin} but for some time I have not done anything with this but I do get lots of notification on my telegram. And I saw an interesting message which I said I should ask the community how real is it about the message sent to me by sweat coin.
Here is a sample

I think it is really scam. I think who are massaged first and offering money and telling to invest or sending links they are really scammer there has no doubt. I think sweat coin is not scam project but who are wanting to send link he is scammer. When you click his provided link your phone will be hucked i think. So i will advice you avoid this kinds of link and scammer.

The thing is that the value of this airdrop can only be on paper or on your screen, and when it comes to getting a profit, it turns out that this token is not traded anywhere, and the only dex where it is placed has extremely low liquidity, so swap is impossible. I haven't seen airdrops that can give a few hundred bucks just like that for a long time. Such projects are among retro drops, where you get valuable tokens for some onchain activity and these tokens are listed on well-known exchanges. If the project doesn't have all this, then most likely you won't be able to exchange it profitably.

sweat is not coin but token i think. when i see this token has no value on market. you need carefull before install or follow any token model with new and not prospect. you need see if there whitepaper or not for project. what need they make that project for. see the project scope too.

when talking about airdrops, this is an interesting thing.  because airdrops can also try our luck.  if we are lucky, it is not impossible that we will get big results when working on airdrops without having to claim anything.

Don't try your connecting Wallet in the platform send to you, because it may be phishing link to scam you, no legit airdrop can give you such amount, that is $500 without doing anything in this current situation of the cryptocurrency market. Have to be careful with those you're friends probably, it may be telegram group looking for who they we scam.

sweet Coin airdrop has to make re search about the Coin before click any link to avoid a fishing trip link in other to connect wallet and most of them are fishing Link at the moment you connect your wallet, the wallet get compromise and valuable asset will be discharged, have to be careful with airdrop link as long has business with wallet connection, I prefer not to participate and keep my wallet safe and secure.

This looks funny, obviously it is a scam because how will you not take part in their service and they will send you 500usd,nah it is impossible. One thing with these airdrops is that it has been taken over by scamming companies, who deceive people to promote their scam project for them.

The painful thing is that you wouldn't even know that you are promoting a scam project until when you yourself is been scammed by the company, that is when they don't pay you for your service of ads you did for them or they will ask you to pay some fee to claim the amount.

The usual problem here is that before you get those airdrop tokens, you need to send some ETH or TRX.
As seen from the OP, the team behind this is also collecting valuable alts in exchange of their token.
There is SWEAT ECONOMY that has been trading in Kucoin and other exchanges, don't know it is the same one.
Need to check their contract address if it is the same, if not, it may very well a fake one trying to screw naive users.

Free money from large airdrops is now very hard to come by and I think with just a cursory look we know what it's meant for Cheesy
Fraudulent schemes like this happen every day and even every hour so don't be too tempted by such things.
I'm not saying it takes away from your profits but I think if we think rationally $479 more just for a telegram for that task would be very suspicious for now and the risk of being scammed is very high for that.
I personally don't forbid you to try it but if there is an option not to do it then it's better not to respond.

When I saw this picture, I immediately thought, no one would give away that much free money in this world. This is too tempting, too good to be true. It's too easy to get these prizes without doing anything really worth it. Indeed, sometimes there are airdrops that give big rewards, but usually they are still in the form of tokens or coins whose nominal value is not yet known because after all they are still not listed. And this? how do they ensure that it really has such value and give away that much money for free? This is nonsense. Especially when there's a next image that tells you to click and it's related to your wallet, this is a high risk. However, scammers have many ways to steal your assets later. Be careful.

Or simply there's no free money on this world and on the time that you do able to recieved out some message in related to it then it is 100% scam. Its true that no airdrop would really be
asking out some deposits or transfer or funds before you could really be able to get those coins and the heck getting that $400+ for free on just simply sending out 0.01 ETH is already suspicious.
This is where newbies do commonly be ending up on getting scammed or hacked when clicking up links randomly on which this is the reason on why tons of newbies cry out when their wallets had been sweep out. Sweat coin? its name do really sucks and using up TG where lots of airdrop scams and hackers do lurk out? Its a BIG pass for this one.
Even your own common sense would really be telling you that you should really avoid and better to ignore these things in the first place on the time that you had read up
those random Dm'med messages came from random people.

You haven't done anything, you received that kind of amount? Isn't is suspicious already.

I don't know the exact reason why there are some people who are doing this kind of thing in Telegram, but avoid these kind of airdrops at all costs. I mean where do these people get that kind of money to just give it to random stranger for free? If it's Elon Musk, or Jeff Bezos or any rich businessmen out there then it's possible, but I don't think that they'll be doing this as well.

Overall, we already said that this is a scam attempt, and there's no way for you to get that money for free. Well, you can try if you want if you're too curious about it as long as you will not give anything that's personal for you, but just by looking at that picture, it's pretty obvious that it isn't real.

If someone message you about a free money, it's a crystal clear as scam. Especially if you're not participating, subscribing or doing any task to deserve such money. Well it's not really new because even before, many scammers have the same strategy to attract people.

They will not give such tokens without anything in return because for sure they will ask first to send eth or any alts to push through the transaction. Well, only newbies or those who are not careful can fall into this trap.

I say it's real, and this app will pay you for walking. It's basically using the sensors on your phone to calculate your steps, and you get points, and with these points, you can buy anything on the app. But the problem is that the value of the coins is not that high. If you walk for 5 to 6 years, you might get anything. But many people are hyping this for motivation to walk well. But that's not true; it's killing our time. Technology and innovations are always good, but the tactics behind them are unbearable. So I can't say it's a full scam and all but fishy. Because tracking every step location-wise is like stalking. That's why I can't fully agree with this sweat coin.

I've been collecting this coin SWEAT for steps since the beginning, as a result when they launched it the price was different and the tokens were frozen. I've made a lot more on TFS in that time without having to constantly go round and round about it
And in the end, they will only become shit tokens in wallets, which ends up being trash that cannot be cleaned from our wallets. This has happened many times, and in the end we will feel disappointed because we have spent time and energy on it. And this is indeed a kind of scam that often happens. So, if there is a promotion or airdrop like this, it's better to just avoid it. Because usually it's just a scam or ends in shit coins.

In case you don't know or haven't seen it yet, these scammers also use rich people to scam people, I've seen it a lot of times where they have a video of Elon Musk running either on YouTube or Facebook or elsewhere, they have a proper streaming setup where there is a wallet address for either Ethereum or Bitcoin and they are pretending like Elon Musk is helping people and he sends double the amount they receive on the given address, lol.

Surprisingly, a lot of people, who are new in the industry or in cryptocurrencies, tend to fall for such things, and they actually send some money to the given address and hope that they might actually get something in return, how naïve! So, these scammers are smart and they keep getting smarter.

Before you jubilate of altcoins I believe that you have make a withdrawal and confirm if you have access to swap the airdrops worth of $479 to usdt or any other cryptocurrencies of your choice because I know quite well that some scammers do use such derivatives to penetrate or scam some people, but you have withdraw it and it went successful,  kudos to you and the airdrop, because it has been long before I seen people benefiting from airdrop, like over two years I can recall that some people do such.

From the scheme alone, it already looks like a scam so I don't think there is any need to confirm further as the result will remain the same and nothing will change with this. Even if we have a lot of needs and hope for big profits, we must remember that this is not a place to receive big money for free.
I think what needs to be done for this is not to check further but to limit ourselves from such useless things because apart from wasting time, things like this are also troublesome if we dive too deep into it.

I haven't followed the project closely but their website is active, and the generated coins keep increasing on the website which says that it's showing the data in real-time unless it's fake and manipulated only to lure in more users. All I know is that apps and projects like this and previously Step Up which was also a similar project couldn't really stay in the market for very long and people eventually start losing interest. The only thing that might keep it alive is that they give free tokens which wasn't the case with the Step Up app.

That being said, what OP has received on Telegram is in no way related to the original project but it's only a scam attempt that will steal his tokens if he connects his wallet to any website or accepts a transaction on his decentralized wallet app such as MetaMask, such things are common on Telegram.

I also receive text daily from unknown people on telegram, most of them found me from others telegram channels where i joined. They use to send scam/fake text as well as phishing about airdrops, free altcoins giveaway etc. I just ignore them. Solid project team will never ask about fee from you as such way for make a transaction! Moreover if they can give you 480$ worth altcoins then 20/30$ fee isn't a big deal. Hope you already got that, the coin you mentioned isn't pure or you should rather ask Sweat Economy community for verification. If you are a winner, then there should be an announcement about it on their Social media channels

I checked it on Coingecko and it does not exist there, if it is not being tracked anymore that means there is no volume anymore, and can now be considered as a shitcoin.

this is what usually happens to trend coins, their lifespan is very short they thrive on the trend and once the trend fades out they also fade out, it not only sweat coin, there are tons of coins that are just an imitation of coins that are trending in the market.
Airdrops are the easiest way to attract attention but the problem is these developers are not honest and transparent about how they do airdrops, they ask for tasks and not everybody can receive them even after you have done all the tasks they've asked of you and they ask also KYC that puts the risk of the participants.

That will imply how important of not to trust strangers too quickly. Social media, especially telegram has been a medium of scams, it was easy to use known names and even make use of fake profiles.
Yes, those legit platforms or projects will never be asking any amount from their investors for transaction fees.
And what I think about Sweat Coin, we'd likely get sweat when we invest in this project. Only believe those projects that have use cases, not those that just promise huge ROI.

Token is real, airdrop is not. Also this token worth nothing because it's pretty easy to fake your walk. There are many applications that make you look like you are walking while you are sitting at home. Don't expect to get good amount of money just because you are walking, even if you really walk.

The token is real but no airdrop. The only way to get free coins is via the sweat coin app. And its limited daily.
Unless you wanna buy on exchanges like Bitget and others here : https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/sweat-economy
Sweat coin has done it airdrop in the past and its not via telegram but with their app. And as ive said earlier, you can only mine the coin with the app.

I think it is fake. There will be two things, either the airdrop message and sender is a spammer and the coin has no such airdrop or the coin itself will be a scam. I do not think now a day any project can afford a $479 airdrop to individual users or participants. Even now bounty is not that much worth. So, looking at the situation, it is not trustworthy. We should be cautious when dealing with such kinds of projects.

@OP, Honestly I don't like to airdrop. Because I believe most people are cheated through airdrops. However, not all airdrops are the same and cheat. But one thing you must believe is that most of the airdrops cannot be sold even if you pay them. Because they are not listed anywhere. About airdrop I would suggest you to create a new wallet account if you want to airdrop so that your funds can be safe.

It's not an actual airdrop, but it's a scam attempt from a scammer trying to steal the funds of OP. As soon as he would connect his wallet to that website and accept the contract in the decentralized wallet app such as MetaMask, they would empty his wallet and take everything it contains. Have you ever seen a project approaching people privately that they've won a certain amount of tokens and they should claim them? That's bizarre, if someone thinks it is true, they are basically out of their mind.

Scammers are always looking for different new ways to try and scam people, especially Telegram is full of them. When you join a group chat related to cryptocurrencies, you will most definitely get a couple of direct messages right after joining the group, others will approach with some patience so that you don't find it suspicious.

Nothing is free, you see. Currently, to obtain an airdrop, we have to complete a multitude of tasks for a project. Sometimes, even after completing numerous tasks, you might not receive the project's tokens. What you're mentioning, be cautious about it, use a new wallet with no assets to link to it.

~~
Scammers are always looking for different new ways to try and scam people, especially Telegram is full of them. When you join a group chat related to cryptocurrencies, you will most definitely get a couple of direct messages right after joining the group, others will approach with some patience so that you don't find it suspicious.

Yes you are absolutely right. Scammers continue to try to trick everyone by creating thousands of airdrops and often succeed. However, these scammers will not always ask you to add a wallet to their website to take advantage of them. There are many other methods by which they can easily cheat people. For example: Sometimes bots create airdrops and show many tokens or dollars. But there are some rules to withdraw them such as certain amount of dollars or certain amount of tokens will be required. After completing everything to withdraw they will give an address saying they need to pay network fee. Otherwise there will be no withdrawal. Even in this way, many people cheat.

Moreover if they can give you 480$ worth altcoins then 20/30$ fee isn't a big deal. Hope you already got that, the coin you mentioned isn't pure or you should rather ask Sweat Economy community for verification
That will imply how important of not to trust strangers too quickly. Social media, especially telegram has been a medium of scams, it was easy to use known names and even make use of fake profiles. Yes, those legit platforms or projects will never be asking any amount from their investors for transaction fees.
well said. Legit projects use to announcement such airdrops, give away news on their community and their verified social account. They don't have time to knock people door to door but scammers do such things. I had tried to help people who knocked me in on social media but i realise 99% of them are scammers. Besides shouldn't click any link provided by strangers. Coins may real but airdrop or giveaway is fake

Also, you need to create another email for it because you don't want to use your personal email not every airdrop out there is safe to join because others are only interested in getting your contacts to send you some offers that are not true or they will just sell your emails to others that will gonna use it for their scams and sent you some baits in order to lure you to get your money from you. Anyway, when Airdrops are legit, as soon as you receive them, you can check where it is listed and see the transaction histories because sometimes when the coins are sold multiple times, they are truly legit and you can also sell them there.

AFAIK, sweatcoin was a project that deals with fitness matters like it is going to reward you for your jogging and how many miles you'll take.

That's what the easiest understanding I've got from them. But if someone gives you free money, do you think that it's right when you know that you have never joined an airdrop?

There must be something wrong with that and that should raise a red flag for that. It will give you a better and stronger sense if they want you to connect your wallet to get that airdrop.

I totally get what you're saying! Scammers try to trick people by claiming to offer free airdrops, but that's not how it works. Legitimate airdrops require active participation, like completing tasks or being involved with a specific project. When projects do airdrops, they make official announcements and have a claiming phase or directly send the tokens to your wallet. It's important to remember that there's no such thing as free money in crypto – your active participation is always needed to earn those bucks! Stay smart and stay safe!

I don't know if there are people who already earned enough from the move to earn projects like this, especially those who loves outdoor adventure and fitness activities.

However, on this one it looks like it's a scam. You literally don't wanna pay something for an airdrop and most especially get a notifications into something you have never participated.
So, only fool would believe to that kind of trick.
I remembered this scam trick is similar to that random SMS I received saying my mobile number have won from the latest draw of some lottery sh*t lol.

There’s no such thing as free money on airdrop especially if the amount involved is surreal. On your screenshot, you received approximately 500USD without any effort to claim it while legit airdrop needs participantion in both investments and time to use the networks before they gave you an airdrop.

I disagree, there is free money. It’s just now that airdrops have a very huge percentage of scams, there’s a lot of garbage out there right now and there’s no way to completely tell what’s real and what’s not. I remember the days when Uniswap did their airdrop and distributed 400 UNI to each wallet. At the time UNI was worth $3 each. I know it wasn’t on TG like what OP posted; I also think scam of most of the airdrops sent with TG bots, but then, I’ve had people get free tokens from these telegram bots by just joining their groups and following their socials.

Not only fool will fall for this trick, because you will be surprised on how many people will let their guard and greed get to them. The type of scam trial is being tried all the time just because of some folks still fall victim and if you are greedy type or the not so exposed one then you might be part of the minority that would find out is a practical a scam aimed at luring the weak and stricken them of their little money.

There's enough profits to be milk from the system, all we need is the appropriate information. Sweat coin is an airdrop that is accumulated when a participant is able to engaged in walking, and he gains sweat coins. There are enough projects to make research about in the system, we just have to apply caution when dealing with the system. There are scams and legitimate projects in the space, it's important we're able to invest our significant capital on these legitimate projects. There are free airdrops in the market but these projects comes with certain entitle jobs. For one a to gain free airdrops, there are available tasks that must be completed to achieve this purpose.

It's true that there are some legit airdrops out there but the only problem is that how easy is it to find these so legit airdrops because with the way scam projects are everywhere, finding an airdrops that actually works will be kind of hard to identify and even if you find one how possible is it that they will actually enlisted the particular coins In any exchange for you to actually get something out of it.

~

They will not give such tokens without anything in return because for sure they will ask first to send eth or any alts to push through the transaction. Well, only newbies or those who are not careful can fall into this trap.

i really wonder how people fall for these kinds of trap

i mean maybe those really tempted by money would have all their logic thrown out of the window once they see the amount being given to them but still wouldn’t they be more careful knowing they have wallets and assets to protect? why give it carelessly even for this much big of amount? even for newbies?

no one can’t possibly think this is charity i can’t even think of a possible excuse why would they give you this much money without requiring any effort or time from you this is why being a critical thinker is a must!

You can be surprised what the human greed can do, I mean some people are just too greedy that they would do anything just to claim some free money they feel is real but there is one clear note in today world which is the fact that nothing is actually free and whenever you are flagged with some kind of free means to acquire money, it is definitely a scam project but the only thing is that some people still tend to tell themselves lies just to be in the deception that they can actually claim such free money.

I remember that long time ago when just having an email made you the most knowledgeable person in all things related to technology among your group of friends, a friend of mine was incredibly happy and I could not help to ask him why that was the case, and he told me he had won 10k on the lottery, I was happy for him but as soon as he explained to me that he got an email that said this I told him it was a scam, at first he could not believe it but after I asked him about whether or not he bought a lottery ticket everything clicked to him, so it is not surprising that when a person receives a message stating they received a big airdrop they immediately believe it and try to claim it, since this is the reaction the majority of the people will have and they will not stop to think if this makes sense or not.

Ordinary if someone who what's to gift you anything starts to ask you to make payments to access or receive your reward is a potential scammer, why not remove every charges and pay the rest of what is remaining to the person. After all it's more of a gifting to the person, so there's no tag that it must be a certain amount. So even from a layman's point of view, the message sent to OP is from a scammer, it's as simple as that. If i want to engage in airdrops, crypto of any kind  I'll first consider their reputation by making sure that i know someone that is holding their coins, so the person will tell me their experience, from there I'll decide if I'll go ahead to buy or not.

This is the reason why i still prefer bitcoin in all the crytocurrency space, because the coin's reputation precedes it, it's decentralized and doesn't assure you of any rewards aside it's functions to hold it, trade and use for transaction payments.

Telegram airdrop bots now are mostly scams that's why always be vigilant when doing this but sweat coin project is real though and listed of some exchange in the market. Having such huge amount in that kind of airdrop more likely will end up a scam and asking funds to unlock or received it is typically a scam tactics.
I remember early this year around January, a friend was disturbing me about an airdrop on telegram, first I told him how sure are you about this airdrop, he said he was very sure. At the end of the day, it was all fake, the good thing was I didn't invest any money in it, they asked for me to do some referrals to get a certain about of the airdrop afterwards. The scam on airdrops is alarming.

Airdrops are now so closely related to scams that it is better as a principle to stay away from them no matter how tempting the offer could be, after all the very moment you have to do anything in order to receive an airdrop it is not really an airdrop anymore, so even if the developers were honest about the delivery of those tokens, they are already lying to you since you were expected to get some referrals to get the airdrop, fortunately you could avoid any loss of money, but anyone that keeps trying to claim airdrops will at some point on the future fall victim of a scam for sure.

Op if you want to join airdrop there is no need to ask for link because they will send you and a referral link for you for you and you will be scam from there then you eye will e clear. I have been  hearing airdrop from some guys in my location but I have not taken time to check on those sites but in a faithful day, I will check out on them. I don't even know how it is, I have not seen it before.

And the way I see airdrop, they twins brothers of Ponzi Schemes when the internet fraudsters using to scam people. If airdrop was a good investment platform people would have recommended it but I have not heard of any of my close friends use it to my notification but I heard it from outsiders.

i really wonder how people fall for these kinds of trap

i mean maybe those really tempted by money would have all their logic thrown out of the window once they see the amount being given to them but still wouldn’t they be more careful knowing they have wallets and assets to protect? why give it carelessly even for this much big of amount? even for newbies?

Of course they fall into this trap because they are greedy, lack knowledge and don't look for information first when getting an airdrop link or something like that which requires us to connect a wallet or have to follow the airdrop.

Honestly, every day I get airdrop invitations on Telegram, but I don't care, I just block them. That's the best way we can do it because there is no free airdrop without being given a task. I'm not saying all airdrops are scams, there are also airdrops that make more money like tesnet and running its project nodes.

The lack of common sense of greedy people is incomprehensible for those that are not dazzled by it, as instead of wondering why would anyone share that amount of money with them and become suspicious about such an offer, those people get happy due to the sudden opportunity that came knocking on their door and they rush as fast as possible to take advantage of it, and in their hurry they are bound to make many mistakes that scammers can then use to their advantage.

I've seen people getting happy after receiving such offers when they have newly started using the internet or maybe after getting involved with stuff like online earning or cryptocurrencies, etc. The reason is that they are too naïve to understand and lack basic knowledge about how things work, their mindsets are different in the beginning because they always hear people saying that they have made a lot of money from cryptocurrencies and they have this image in their mind that cryptocurrencies can make someone rich overnight.

I was once a newbie, all of us were, and I don't blame them for any of that, a newbie in a new industry is like a child who knows nothing and will believe or do anything that they are asked to do because they think it is going to do something good for them instead of thinking critically about the situation.

Without a doubt we all started with a very limited amount of knowledge about this market, and the more I think about the more surprised I get about all the things I have learned over the years, however if newbies at least realized their level of ignorance about the market then they will be on guard and refuse most offers that seems to be too good to be true, but instead they are too gullible and believe whatever they read, and really think they can earn a fortune in a short amount of time.

Well, I agree that even though projects intend to share their tokens with the community, they usually ask to do something, for example trying out their features, making swaps or transactions on their network and so on.
and no one gets anything for free without doing anything, especially not in a bull market.

Just cancel it, that's an old school thing to scam someone. Saying you're not into airdrops yet you've been named as an active user is likely the biggest lie you've received. That may be a few dollars to receive something huge but you'll just be deceive thinking you'll get it but you will not.
Not sure why he did not do it but maybe He is still interested hoping that one day this will have any value or he will withdraw the amount  Grin Grin

But what you said is correct that this is how scammer works now  promising you or showing you a winner but how could you win when you did not even participating  ?
and active user when OP does not even know what truly is that activity telling here  .

This is one of the method many scam projects uses to scam there victims. We don't have to fall for this kind of cheap technique used by scammers. Someone that have not participate in airdrop for long might think that this is real. It is very good when we ask questions because many have fell for this kind of scam and will be waiting to get the coin they paid gas fee for.

So many bad projects polluting the Crypto sphere and that should not make us see the crypto market as a bad option. We need to make sure we do our diligent research or ask questions here in the forum if we don't understand a particular crypto project that look like a scam to us.

Be very mindful with links you click on trying to get on airdrops, some of these links aren't real and they are used mainly for phishing and as such they could gain access to your wallet, this is most common when they will request you Link your wallet to be able to claim the airdrop. Secondly to be sure any project is legitly carrying out an airdrop, make sure to first confirm on their official website or discord and telegram channels if they have one, if there's no confirmation on any of these platforms that they are currently Carrying out airdrop then obviously any other you see out there are most likely scam and you should be very careful about them.

Honestly the huge amount of coin involved make a lot of newbies to become greedy and get carried away, if someone who is been involved in crypto for long would know that it's a red flag in my Twitter account I do recieve messages that I had won huge amount of money but expected to send some Ethereum to them as gas fee which I knew is scam unfortunately some newbies would easily fall for this scam, I was also in similar telegram group sometimes ago where links on airdrops were shared on the platform but was cautious of several demand for sending of transaction fee whose value is huge on an Airdrop whose future is not feasibly and  without a roadmap by it developers

I have these coin but not as many as you get and my method is different, not from participating in an airdrop. I simply install the sweatcoin app on my phone, then your travel steps can be exchanged for sweatcoins at any time

Newbies mistakenly believe that since bitcoin was able to grow in value so much that any coin will be able to do the same, so they try to claim as many airdrops as possible and they collect them as they see them as their tickets to a new life full of wealth and luxuries, but they do not seem to realize the massive risks they are taking by doing such a thing as they are exposing themselves massively, and a single mistake or a mistaken click can make them to lose whatever holdings they may had at the time as they get hacked or scammed while trying trying to obtain those airdrops.

I think airdrop is unless right now and if a successful project giving then it will be small money. Honestly a top project never give you token and they don't allow airdrop. Because after receiving the airdrops token, their investors can reduce their project by crush dumping price. Actually airdrop is a way in which a project uses to conduct its promotion activities. Couldn’t believe airdrop and avoid it always.

There was so much spam for this project on social media like twitter and telegram. That project is real, but their airdrop wasn't that profitable. People got a lot of token but it was with some vesting contracts that only allowed a limited number of token to be traded in the exchange. I'm not sure if that project is still running or not but the hype it got was amazing, and i think it was listed in some top crypto exchanges as well. Few of my friendsd told me about the project as well that it is going to do multipleX profits though i wasn't interested.

Sweetcoin is real for some investors, I believe that's one of the abandoned project in they system but some investors just develop a particular mentality of growth, we can't expect to reap whatever we know fully we didn't sow, that's never going to happen. We stop investing in projects that have shown us absolutely zero signs of improvement, they're always putting roadways which you're uncleared and uninformed about. I'm care in whatever activities I indulges in and there are a whole lot to deal with. I believe every project in the system tends to give airdrops after successfully been innovated into the system.

Op I think this is too good to be true how can sweet coin just airdrops you with $479.80, I mean who does that? I just want to let you know that there are lots of fake or scam airdops around, telegram is one of the favourite social media used in scamming people because you cannot have any trace of who the scammer behind the account is, so many scammer having this knowledge will always refer you to telegram. Talking about scam, I have also seen a lot of scam mining pool online, which after mining for months the end is just not pleasing.

It's a big scam of the century. I think u have don several airdrop on telegram and received the coin on my trust wallet but unable to swap because of low liquidity. You might even set the tolerance to 30 buy still unable to swap. When ever you are told to pay some certain amount of TRX or USDT or any other Crypto currency, just bear it in mind that you about being scammed. Because you will send them real coin and they give you junk in exchange for it. Which is useless. So its a red flag and also a no go area.

I was about to get amazed if that is for real money and if you have reached that through running and earning that sweat coin.
But that is a good warning for those that they think they are blessed to receive some random airdrops and gift because nothing is free anymore today.
A scam that tells you earn this but you need to send money first is an outright scam.

Airdrop without performing any kind of task and that to through a telegram bot. Yeah, all signs are pointing towards a scam and the name is big red flag. What I find intresting is how it shows the USD price of those coins. Any newbie will fall for the amount and give access to the wallet. Stay away from such airdrops as nothing comes free now days in cryptocurrency world.

It will be very stupid if you believe in this scam, many scams operate by promising unrealistic rewards, preying on people's trust. This kind of message should go to the spam section, there is no need to even go into it and delve into it, as they said earlier, there is no easy money.

There are lots of broadcasts like that on Telegram as if we are getting a reward, if you never feel like following it is just a scam, it's not real,
If it is true that airdrops provide great value, there must be conditions that they previously provided but were not published. Let's take the example of a large first reward from an exchange such as Uniswap which requires transactions before the specified month and to claim it also requires funds which are not given for free.

To me it is considered a scam because a project will never give you big money for free. But in some projects you will get a small amount of money invested which is very less. But according to your screen short i want to say it is sure scam and you should avoid all these tempting offers so that no one can cheat you and steal your money. I have expressed my regrets as a small investor only so use your search.

Listen, if they can give you that much money just for free, they will never ask for a fee to confirm that transaction. I faced the same kind of situation a long time ago. They were asking for a fee to make the transaction. So I contacted their support asking for information on why they need a fee from me while they can easily send that money by taking what is needed from the actual amount. And they said some shit about this and that rules and but I keep on asking them why they can't deduct the amount from what I will receive. After that they blocked me and the telegram group was gone.

It is more likely a scam. So try to stay away. If they agree to send you without a fee from your side, then provide a dummy wallet in which you have no assets. Be cautious.

Because after receiving the airdrops token, their investors can reduce their project by crush dumping price. Actually airdrop is a way in which a project uses to conduct its promotion activities. Couldn’t believe airdrop and avoid it always.
That's the basic purpose of a project conducting an airdrop event, they want participants to promote their project to a broader audience base and in return, get some tokens for free which is compensation for the tasks they complete in promoting the project. The compensation is not always going to be worth a lot because the projects that conduct airdrops and giveaways are new in the market which is the reason why they are doing all these promotional campaigns, otherwise, if a project is already successful, it doesn't need to give free tokens to anyone.

So, a person who is interested in airdrops and participates in them a lot should make sure that the airdrops they are participating in are from projects that are good and have the potential to get a lot of investors once launched so that the tokens they get from the airdrop is worth something when they go for selling it.

If i look at the rating on Trustpilot, it's pretty good, around 4.4, but that might only last temporarily. I haven't tried it, just read about it, but the price is quite expensive, pegged at around USD $8.1, but if you want to, you have to be very careful and it's best to just use a new wallet, not a new one. the main thing if you want to buy it.
