To be fair, we did expected Besiktas to end up losing, not only the opponent was a tough one and not as easy as some of the other teams, but also Besiktas is going through some turmoil right now, the president they have is temporary now and said he will not be candidate for the elections, so they will have another president quite soon, and the manager they have is a lovely footballer we all loved, Burak Yılmaz, amazing personality, but not a great manager as we can see and a temporary one, they are not getting any new manager until the elections. So basically when you combine all of that together, it was expected of them to lose, and they did their best, and after this period is over, they will gradually become the powerhouse of Turkish football once again like they used to be.

Fenerbahce on the other hand was totally unexpected, obviously they have plenty of players missing, and since they almost guaranteed to go up as first team, they ended up using the backup players, losing with your backup players and not caring about the game could end up with a loss, the part I did not expected wasn't the end result, after seeing the squad they went with, I could say many did expected it, the part that was unexpected was that they didn't use their stars they had, so it was definitely unexpected to see backups but not unreasonable to rest their best players.

In Turkish league it is becoming increasing difficult with Galatasaray being in a super red hot form that I find it difficult Fenerbahce to have a chance here.

If you look at the teams you mentioned above, it looks like they are in the European League competition, not here my friend. I know you are blunder and maybe what you mean is the European League thread, not the European Conference League. But what you say is correct.

The only team in the European Conference League to record a perfect win in 4 matches is Viktoria Plzen, who is currently in group C. However I also favor Fiorentina, Aston Villa and Fenerbahce as candidates to win the trophy this season.

Overall I see that the representatives of England and Italy are still at the forefront for now, but there are still two more matches in the future to determine who will qualify from the group phase and advance to the round of 16. West Ham were the defending champions last season, and currently they are doing quite well in the Europa League by topping group A and have only lost once so far. If I see them, they are favorites there.

I am wondering why Bayer Leverkusen is discussed in the UEFA Conference League thread as they are playing in the Europa League group stage and this is also where they achieved the results that were mentioned here. There is no point in discussing what Leverkusen is doing in another competition.

It is hard to say who the favorite is in the Conference League, but despite their loss in the group I would still stick with Aston Villa as I think they will be the strongest opponent to face for any other team in that competition.

Well, conference league was getting nearer to group stages so these unexpected results were bound to happen. Same with UCL and europa too, look at how Liverpool ended up losing to tolouse as well, nobody expected that, when teams are getting near that "guaranteed to go up" levels, they start to care a lot less and they go out with their bench players and that is when the other team, even though they are worse, end up going against them with their starting team and this results with the better team to lose because the yare not playing with their main players.

I think it is sad that we end up losing because of that, but there is nothing to do about it, we just have to accept that football has something like this we have to accept. Hopefully it could reach to a point where we could see some more domination from the favorite games next games around so that we could make some money, I did lose, but I am fine with it, the first three games were easy wins.

And this is how quickly the dynamics can change and Fenerbahce continued their negative results with a draw in the league as well. I think sometimes these impressive results in the home leagues can be a bit misleading because it is easy to think that they will simply continue that trend. Ludogorets is also a team that is not that well known and hence people think this was supposed to be an easy one for Fenerbahce, but quite the opposite turned out to be true. But Fenerbahce is still fine as they also won the head to head in the group against Ludogorets.

Win after win from Fenerbahçe, they are doing a really good job in the conference league this season. After a few bad years, Fenerbahçe has a very different squad this season. I hope this group can go much further. Sometimes it also takes failures to achieve success as if failure is not encountered, success wouldn't be appreciated. Fenerbahçe will definitely qualify for the next round because they've fought so hard to accumulate important points this season. Fenerbahçe have declined heavily regarding performance, and they're having balance to bounce back to big games, all matters within the estimated range of time.

I wouldn't call it a drop in form because that sounds as if it is a prolonged problem. But if they can win their next games again and also don't start a losing stream in the Turkish league, they will be doing ok.

In the Conference League their goal should still be to win the group, but the prospects are very strong for them as they have the upper hand against Ludogorets with the direct comparison as they have a much better goal difference.

Yes indeed, Besiktas has been very bad so far in the Conference League because Besiktas is also one of the teams that does not have a winning result in this group stage.
