I think people's obsession in bitcoin investment is mostly about the profit, recently I rarely see people talk about how to make bitcoin legally used for purchasing goods. people always talk about profit. it is risky for newbie, if they only obsess with profit and don't learn many things that related to bitcoin then they maybe panic when bearish market trend come. I think it is important to always tell them that DCA is the best thing to do for them now.

I think ever before someone even tries to go into any investment, he or she might have done proper research about what he is probably getting his or her hand into so you dont end up regretting. As for the use of Bitcoin as an investment purpose, well it's pretty clear we humans just love wear to get profits from and it's no new thing again about the possible profits one could enquire through Bitcoin investment.

I’ve been involved with bitcoin close to a decade and I’ve met my fair share of people who are obsessed with it. But in the last decade I think the biggest obsession was that family who sold their house and all possessions and bought Bitcoin with it and were going to live in a RV or some camp.

This was in 2015 or so and I think they paid during the end of the bull market. So they must of endured some pain but if they held they would of been multi millionaires. If anyone know which family I am talking about and you know the outcome let me know. Wondering how they made it out.

Are you using bitcoin for your daily expenses? Or are you still using fiat, so how can you call bitcoin a currency?  tell me, other than bitcoin, is there any other highly volatile currency that can lose 10% in 1 hour like what happened in the last few days? Please let me know.  when you use bitcoin to pay your daily bills, and you have completely eliminated fiat from your life, I will believe bitcoin is currency.

And do you see me complaining about taking more jobs to get rich?  what I am trying to say is that I want to distinguish between addiction and passion because many people are still thinking that addiction is good.  if addiction is good, why is it always associated with social evils when we have the word "passion" to describe positive behaviors?

A lot of people, specifically newbies, don't do any research before making their first investments in cryptocurrencies, they might hear someone praising a certain cryptocurrency, talking about how much profit it can provide in such a short period of time, what kind of benefits it provides to its users, how much interest one can get for holding a certain amount of tokens, etc. All these are said for certain altcoins and newbies start investing without any proper research.

A very large number of investors lose money just because someone in one side of the world has misused the name of blockchain and cryptocurrencies and created a platform to fool newbies promising them good returns on their investments and a lot of benefits while running away with their money at the end.

Don't take things too far, and talking about money/bitcoin is not the same with OCD so let's be realistic. Everyone wants money and matter how much they have whether he is middle class or the richest person on this planet it's rare to see someone say okay I made enough money now I am going to spend time with others.

Been obsessed with Bitcoin or any other investment isn't a good thing, obsession will make you invest more than you can lose and that isn't a good investment decision because it'll make you uncomfortable when the market isn't moving in the direction that you thought before making that investment like when you invest thinking the market will pump but it dumps. Obsession is mostly associated with negative things that can lead to addiction which isn't good.

Don't get obsessed with Bitcoin investment, invest with the understanding that the market is volatile and unpredictable, some individual sell everything they have to buy Bitcoin and this make them uncomfortable when the market is dumping and they won't have patience to hold.

It becomes an obsession for many and trading has that effect on people. However as long as it is not posing a problem for yourself your family and your work it is fine. For example, if a trader is worrying too much about bitcoin prices and checking the prices every few hours then it is a problem and they may need to stop trading. I can see that this term is more applicable to new entrant traders specially in the day trading segment. Seasoned traders have worked over the obsession.

Actually the tech does matter equally as does the trading aspect, just that obsession in the tech is not as prevalence as it is in  trading and that's attributed to the crowded number of cryptocurrency adopters two-thirds been mostly interested in trading.

Let's take the forum for instance, how many members do you see bump discussions topics in the technical boards of the forum like it's done in the other boards like trading discussion, beginners and help, bitcoin discussion etc. So the higher the number the higher the obsession effect is notice and importantly discussed, but that doesn't make the tech aspect of crypto not worthy of discussion regarding obsession.

Obsession by itself is not wrong, it is what you decide to do with it what it could tip the scales on one direction or another, for example it should be obvious that almost all the great minds that have lived and which made huge discoveries and formulated new theories were obsessed with their particular topic of interest, but since the outcomes of that obsession were positive for themselves and others no one can find fault on their obsession, and if anything we are happy they had it.

If you ask me, I did say that there is nothing like Bitcoin obsession, Bitcoin is not addictive based on my own personal experience, at least, I have been in this space since 2016 and if bitcoin was addictive, I did be one of those that would have been very addicted or obsessed in bitcoin by now, so bitcoin is not addictive the same way gambling is, I think this is because of the fact that investing in bitcoin is not same as gambling.

People gamble because it is one of the quickest ways to make money for those that are lucky, since you are able to see the return on your investment in just a couple of seconds after clicking a button, and for sports betting, you just have to wait a few minutes of hours depending on when you placed your bet.
But when it comes to investing in bitcoin, its completely a different ball game, as you will have to wait several hours, days weeks, months and even years to find out what your return on investment is, this give no room of any kind to be addicted or obsessed in bitcoin.

I think bitcoin obsession is not bad as long as we continue to benefit from investing in btc, I think most people become obsessed (addicted or like) with bitcoin because they have experienced the benefits that can be obtained from investing in btc. sometimes at first our become obsessed with btc because our see other people who are lucky because they invest in btc. until finally learning about btc and successfully investing in btc and getting profits and finally becoming obsessed with btc.
