Best practice is just HODL.
Because in an unfortunate case of events, where Bitcoin will go back up, we might miss gains when it really happens when we have sold before.
It is risky to have a miss of profit.
Even if Bitcoin goes down more, it is likely to recover later.
But I would not sell in case Bitcoin goes up right away soon.

Gained something with Shiba Inu.
I just took advantage of the hype that is happening but I never have thought of keeping it which I think is the best decision I made. Doubled the money that I invested from it and withdrew instantly when I saw profits.
It's not like I will keep it for a long time, that's the plan from the start and I am lucky that it went accordingly because if it went down I may have done the same thing even at a losing term.

I will able to gain some moderate profits during the recent bull run but only from Solana, bought it when the crypto-market was at its lowest price and immediately sold it when BTC price reach around 30k and secured all my profits. Think it was worth it after all I was able to come out with some decent profits.

The bull run of 2023 has not started yet. If you invest at current prices, and bitcoin goes back to peak prices, you will double your money. I think this is very much possible in next six months. If you want better returns than this, search for good alt coins which are still corrected by good price.

Regarding the new launched coins, I will suggest to avoid them in next bull run because there will be so many of them. To filter out coins from them, you will be spending a lot of time and energy. I do not recommend this unless you are doing this full time.

I had actually gained a lot on the bull run. My portfolio was over 10k after the bull. But somehow someone got access to my private key or mnemonic phrases and emptied my balances on different networks of more than 6K worth of coins. Of the rest 4K, I lost some in a few bad choices and currently stand at about 3K of portfolio, 90% of which are now on centralized exchange. I'm going to hold them and add more for the next bull run where I'm expecting a x5 rise in my portfolio.

Over time I think the experience has increased a lot, not just talking about money profit, since coming into contact with this market I have learned a lot of valuable things about economics, psychology and emotions of people and also know many truths that I have been mistaken for a long time. Market cycles are those that when we bring in different emotional states, most of us come to this market for some short term opportunity, but clearly lack of experience is the main reason causes of failure, and usually as I observe people who have experienced it many times they know how to avoid mistakes in the process.

Anybody who buys & is willing to HODL for at least one full 4 year cycle gains something in bitcoin or top alts. Preferably you HODL for 2 cycles & right there my friends is life changing money. As for myself, of course I gained from the last bull run, I have been in crypto a long time.

I am not a friend to altcoins and I do not invest in them but a friend of mine compelled me to Shiba and as I entered it dumped on me. I am still holding the worthless Shiba and I am almost certain that Shiba cannot have a new ATH. No matter how dedicated the team behind it is and no matter how often they burn Shiba.

I didn't actually gain in the last bull run because I joined at the middle of the bull and even BTC dumped on me and I sold at lose but then I didn't regret it knowing how long I would have waited. Hopefully, the upcoming halving could make me smile

I have not been able to gain anything from my altcoins holding since the last bull market,  and the worst part of my own scenario is that,  while the bull run was on the full race,  I refused to sell the little of my altcoins that remain in the wallet thinking that it price will continue to rise or even get stabilize at a good price.
But unfortunately for me,  the price got dumped even below my previous holding price and this has killed my motivation in holding altcoins for the long term,  best I stick to Bitcoin since Bitcoin have a hard proven record of sustainable price stability even though its price drops sometime but it can't go as far as becoming dumped,  or worthless like altcoins do.

I gained a little profit from the last bull run but not enough profit for me to have a good financial standing, I'm still looking for the best bull run I experienced back in 2018 - 2017 and I believe its possible and can happen again after the next halving.

This next halving after it many investors are bullish that the price will reach 6 digits and from there it will remain there for good and wait for the next coming bull run, so all preparation for that coming bull run should happen especially now there is a dip because of Spacex selling their shares.

Actually, I did gain some but I lost more than I gained, to be honest. Last bull run, Shiba INU was trending because it went so high everyone was buying and selling and getting profits, and I did that as well a few times, but when I bought for the last time, it dropped significantly and could never recover again. I held my tokens for a good amount of time but eventually sold them at a loss because I saw no hope for them to go up anymore so I just sold them.

If it wasn't for that single wrong investment, I would have earned a lot of profit after the bull run because I have seen the market going up and down on a lot of occasions after that, and when Bitcoin was at $16k, I could get a lot of profit if I could buy at that range but I didn't have capital.

Honestly, I quite erned a lot with the previous bullrun but not as big as it should be 'coz I tried holding and waiting for the price to recover before it continuously fall. We just cannot help it; there'll be times that we would be foolish and would choose to embrace the risk which I am now avoiding as an investor. I learned that it is not about the amount you have engaged and to be earned but rather the opporty to be more exposed with this blockchain. Also, it is not too late to invest. All you have to do is to wait for things to again start its increase. There's an appoaching Bitcoin halving which could uplift the market prices. If you came from the past, then I'd choose to continue wiyh my scheme as a rider. Investing at this point would be a hood idea but never push your luck that much.

The end of the bull run means that the market will become saturated and experience a correction, these are conditions that need to be watched out for so that there are no losses. usually some traders will buy him up because of the FOMO that keeps happening and forces him to keep buying without looking at the chart which is high enough. Anyone who have been holding top alts in the market are most probably garnered enough profit every after bull season, that of course if you know how to manage your diversified portfolio. It could get a little tricky most of the time as you accumulate more alts in your portfolio.
Those who have lost might be lossing a lot more when they are trying to chase that losses, because that's a major indicator of a bad management with assets. I can only think of 2 reasons, they either missed the bullrun or they were stacking shitcoins.

I did some.
But that wasn't a lot compared to what people are flaunting their profits off social media. The tendency of those profits that they've made it is that they're all fake and all for the flex and advertisement of what they're up. If it's about the losses, those are like paper losses that have projected to my portfolio but I want to take them as much as I can in the next bull run. But as this is a cycle, that's usually going to be the same again if the bull run comes next again next year or so.

I wont deny that there are coins which i have bought on the peak considering that i havent been able to utilize and mind off about the risks on investing while already on the peak or simply you have been able to hooked
by FOMO on which even up to now im really still holding those coins on my bag because sensibly be speaking and minding on which its never been that wise on selling on lose.We do have 4 year market cycle which does includes bear,bull and sideways/accumulation period. Increases whether for altcoins or Bitcoin itself wont really be a guarantee on a particular point on which it is really that hard to guess whether it would really be pumping
and having that kind of increase for this cycle or not. This is why investors or traders would be definitely be having that different condition in terms of their bags or portfolio when it comes to gains and losses.
It would really vary on each individual since not all would really be that on the same condition when it comes to their port decision making.

I learned a lot, that's all I can say. But I can't be denied that I lost some, especially when the collapse of FTX LUNA. I'm glad that I diversify my funds to different exchanges and wallets also.
I realized that holding your funds to your wallet is the safest way to protect your funds.

I would say I gained my confidence. I knew that this would happen and when I sold to buy again as it goes down, I was right and it helped me have more bitcoins in the end. Unfortunately life had other plans and I do not have much now, as maybe even less than I used to, but that doesn't mean that we should be fine with it, I am just not unhappy about it neither because if it wasn't for bitcoin I would have done even worse.

So all in all, I gained my confidence because after the peak everything went just as I expected it to go and since then it is going exactly like I imagine too. When that happens, when you are right as much as you should be, it reaches to a level where we are going to see normal situations change.
