First of all, school no be scam and it has never been a scam, because even the yahoo boyz wey bring up this slang, if you no go school, I bet you you go fit scam a 5yrs old pikin, talkless of an educated white man or woman. So scam has never been a scam, because despite the economic hardship wey dey this country, you go notice say it's always easy for educated people to fine good paying jobs (either online or physical) than the illiterate ones, and example is this forum signature campaign, whereby it only take an educated person to fit into this kind of job, hereby making it remain a nightmare for those who never went to school.

However, from research i'm made to understand that it's only 31% of the total Nigerian population is said to be illiterate, and as such it means the number of educated people are far more than the illiterate ones

You are only lucky to make money and I am surprised that you did not know the situation in Nigeria. The unemployment rate is very high, and people that are employed are underemployed. I have many people that graduated with me and are having no job. Two of them that I know are riding okada to meet daily needs while many are complaining.

People should know that schooling and education are different. I know few people in my state that did not go to school or that did not finish in school but have money while many went to school but not rich. In life, exposure matters, not only about school.

Yes, I agree with you my Oga say the country hard, and the relationship we find ourselves in this life also matters a lot, but when I said education, I meant the basic ability to read and write, of which we all know if a man can know how to read and write, he is one step closer to exploring the best opportunities of life. Because taking you for example, do you think it would have been possible for you to be here on this forum without the basic ability to read & write?? The answer is "NO"... And likewise that goes to all of us here on this forum, because with the basic ability to read & write, the relationship we keep and the environment we find ourselves helps us to progress in life. I think the best way to survive in this country is by performing learned handwork or doing business (branded with education)
Mistakes most people make is just loving a carrier without trying to build a foundation. I can't be wanting to become a mechanical engineer with out a base in learning mechanic before furthering education, schools now does a lot of theories than practical. In Nigeria now people with first class in Mechanical engineering can't even perform in there field because they where not exposed to practical aspects.
Our choice of carrier in school should be in line with our learned skill, can't be a motor mechanic and going to further education in becoming a Doctor, that is a foul decision.
And this will increase the rate of unemployment because of imperfections in there field.

Not entirely correct. If you don't have industries and an enabling environment for companies to thrive, even of you like get phd for bitcoin, you go still dey unemployed. The four or five years wey some of us use go school, then come comot do one year for NYSC, then still stay another 1 or 2 years before we get 80k per month job, if to say we use am learn auto mechanic, Pipe fitting, spare part trading, fashion designing, we for don turn professionals and even dey employ pipo. If na lie, go Onitsha Market go ask those big igbo men.

Op please take this correction, satoshi never created bitcoin to be considered as a job or for it to reduce unemployment, it was created to be used as a currency for p2p transactions. but due to its authenticity we deemed it fit for investment and that doesn't mean we should take it as a job, Bitcoin should not be depended on as a source of finance for survival (it is risky) because of its volatility. If you observe closely you'll see that even the largest bitcoin holder have something doing that generate money for their holding.
all am saying is that it is advised for you to be employed before going into Bitcoin investment and not the other way around, the fact that your a Bitcoin investor doesn't mean that you are employed, taking for example it just like telling a gambler that he is employed.

School can never be a scam, I have heard this over and over again but I already know that school is a good approach towards an individual mental growth, is just that Nigerian government has failed to create enabling environment for investors that can employ this graduates, note, not all graduates are employable because, there are some graduates that are not sound when it comes to their discipline and otherwise, another thing is, being around sound minds that has the information you need will help you too, let me use Bitcointalk forum here as a case study, I was introduced to this educative forum by someone I hold in high esteem, I got this information and started using all my energy to prove that am worthy of being here, we should not give up on our dreams because because of this statement by the people that don't understand what school stands for, opportunity might not come immediately but sooner or later it will, even though it doesn't come, make sure you go for it , just believe it, with what I know here, it is only the smart ones that add value here that survives.

The phrase "School na Scam" was not propounded by illiterates ones in the society but we'll educated scholars in the society because as dey suffered 4 to 6 years in University education and come to face no job phrase in their field of study and that makes some graduates drive bikes, Taxi and so on so seeing the reality of life after school made those educated ones to make that statement and my the illiterates ones. About your explanation if you check this thread it was created when I newly registered on BTT and most of the topic created where do to how I think I knew things, but as time goes on i have another shape of knowledge. is totally wrong because even educated people don't have work and still struggling to survive. Education is not a guarantee for success but prepares you ahead of the future. What education does is to keep you updated sothat whenever something comes up, you should be able to pick up from there an continue. Education is exposure when you are educated you are exposed and you are likely to take advantage of any given opportunity if you have somebody to help you but not a guarantee to success. A person which has a skill and is consistent can do better than a lazy educated person.

What if I said you are wrong, that truly if people had been educated about Bitcoin (i.e how to trade both spot & future, buy & sell) and knew how to monetize their knowledge by joining the Bitcointalk forum, creating crypto podcast and teaching people about the latest Bitcoin related keywords (i.e How to buy Bitcoin in Nigeria, e.t.c) on any of the social media platforms like YouTube, TikTok and co. Or rather organizing a course where he teaches people about Bitcoin, such individual is likely to have earn a decent sum of money and be living a good life.

Because, one thing I have come to understand which is the major cause of unemployment in this country is that we have many students who are graduates of a particular course, but yet fail to know how to monetize that course in the society.

Not everyone who did not go to school.sees those that went as a waste of time and effort. Most of them wished that they had the chance to go. You know in Nigeria education is now like a traditional way of living, once a child is up to 18 or 19 years they start finding a way to send the child to higher institution.

But my freind for a person to be a bitcoin literate you dont need higher education you just need the basic elementary education which i believe everyone went through it. If we can read and write properly, studying is the next step to start understanding bitcoin and with time we will all be familiar with it. I agree with you that school is not a scam. When you have the education and knowledge you are already a step ahead of somebody which is educated and not been in a four building to learn.ans when you talk about opportunities you are already more experienced and exposed to be able to do things in life .but looking at someone who’s educated and rational in Thinkin will be able to advance in about bitcoin knowledge when it first comes out but someone who’s not educated it will take him a lot of time to be to understand what there are even talking about it the bitcoin and any crypto market.thats why even you are educated or have some level of communication skill to write and express your self even the forum will be difficult for you to cope.
