[List]Merit Source pipeline applications (New and Old)

So after 3 years and some months of the last thread about the list of merit source applications, I think it's time to get Theymos attention again to do a little reconfiguration to the active members that have not given up on becoming merit source since they submitted their applications. After going through TheBeardedBaby thread, there are users that have remained active and haven't given up, some are inactive for a while, some were last active a year ago and even more, and some reputation has washed down the drain due to one or two things they did to have violated rules of the forum with evidence on their trusted feedback. I will leave that for Theymos to decide their judgment but I believe a good leadership need a clean résumé even if they are active.

What is this thread all about? There has been some thread bumping from the old and new applications as a merit source and I think compiling the list of the old pending threads and new pending threads for Theymos to review again in a single thread will fasten the process instead of searching up for the threads, which in the process, some application may be skipped or forgotten. However, I did a little itemization and prioritized user applications that are still active that can convince Theymos of been worthy of the Job but distrust users are starred with *

In the list of the applications, I sort it out with name(user), local board location, Application, and date. This way, where applications are coming from and zoning merit source jobs to users will be visible to everyone and Theymos to decide who to pick and who to discard is left to him. I hope he sees it. The reason why included their respective local board was that there are some applications that were specific to be a local board merit source, it will be easier to review the applications if they know their respective local boards, and if they needed more sources or not.

This user has withdrawn their merit source application due to less understanding if the merit system. Maybe you haven't checked the discussion there. I'm quoting his post here. You can remove the application from the list.

Note to theymos: As it appears that at least 3 trusted members of the community doubts my understanding of Merit system, I would request you NOT to consider my Merit Source Application till they are sanguine about my understanding.

It has been a long time since theymos has accepted a merit source application if I'm correct. So, I don't think it's going to happen anytime soon.

Huppercase - You should check each profile before listing  everyone whether any of these people have been approved as a merit source or not. I got one user whose app has been accepted as a merit source - @mikeywith is the user I'm referring to.

Its been a little bit more than a 2 years (July 2021) since theymos introduced new merit sources so maybe exactky that way we might get new ones sooner than later but I think that mainly depends on the amount of merit shared, which is currently pretty good.

Yeah he has been approved but I guess OP simply checked status of merit source application (and mikey didn't lock his or tagged it as accepted) and their stats to verify whether they became merit sources or not.

I'm not sure either, I went through each of the new and old applicants profile and from the local board they interacted in their post history, I assumed that's their local dialet. I maybe wrong about that, I can speak french too but not too expert.

Logically, checking a profile merit history, it is easier to know if a merit source application was rejected or accepted because the merit they sent is usually larger than the merit they earn, a normal user merit sent is usually less the merit they earned and from Mikeywith, it's clearly a merit source person but that one skipped my eye, but thank you for the observation, I have make correction on the table. I think they will do well in distributing merits, especially to local boards, where translation is a little difficult. so good luck for all

The last group update was on July 05, 2021, after which I think that merit sources were added or deleted individually.
this is the longest period in which no collective amendment was made to the merit sources.

I remember the last time there was a protest from a lot of merit sources about what having a few merits, something is not happened now.
Perhaps the next update will be in 2025.

I have checked a local board, it seems the merits is exchanged back and forth between the source and others, lol this shows the tribal mindset from ancient times is still strong. I am wondering about the perseverance of these applicants, I mean looking from another perspective, imagine you offer your dedication and help for free to someone a few times, after that what is the reason to keep insisting on helping when the other guy doesn't need the help right now?

Ok, when I say suspicious, because it's obvious this is for self benefit and not helping the community, come on which one of the factories stopped working, is there shortage of food supply? babies have no milk powder? And that's all because we have less merits going around?

Applicant's reasons as to why they need to be a source is not convincing enough,  think about it what value will they add to the community as a whole? Will there be no contribution if they get no merits?

Show us a few examples of some of the best contributors with not enough received merits, which will allow other sources to send some merits to them and there will be no need for new sources.

If you really want to help, report deserving posts to merit sources, that is the definition of help with no expectation in return.

If you think you've got any good example of this and you're sure about it, then bring the discussion forward and create a thread on reputation about it, this is not the first time people will be suspecting some activities on same occasion, but i want to believe that you must have gotten enough evidence even if such would be made, also as to the merit pattern and the sources, i think there's an improvement more in the way they distribute it and they do this out of their open mindedness without being biased, though some may think otherwise but that's just the truth.

Yes, I agree with you on this point. There are a lot of good topics that did not get any merit, but the sources of merit cannot see all the good topics in the forum, so it would be good to make a list of these good topics for the sources of merit to see and get merit if they are deserved.

Merit sources are also making such attempts there at least I know @hugeblack created a thread to give merit to topics on local boards that didn't get merit:

This is a good initiative and I believe that other sources of merit do not skimp on merit.

As far as I know merits source application isn't something that got approved so quickly by Theymos maybe if there are any needs or maybe noticed a lack of merits circulation in some local board or some board he might decide to appoint someone that is trusted in that area, if he feels is deem necessary to. If you look carefully he hardly gives attention or even approved them knowing too well that there may be a compromise so if his spirit moves and noticed that such persons is capable to handle such position then he can give it to them.

How long does it take for Theymos to grant these guys their request?
Is the applications even getting to him? I just wonder because the applicants are getting many and hoping to get a response. But come to think of it, does Theymos care about these applications?
Only if he can just make his selections on those who he wants to be merit source. From the way it is I think for someone to be a merit source it will take 3 years or more before it would be approved.

From my view if those that are already merits source can spread across the forum including some local boards then I doubt if he will accept all the pending applications, like few our brothers listed above had applied and in our local we are really lacking merits the one we had is not enough for him to go through all quality post he comes across and yet saying his allocation is too minimal and he needs an increased to be able to spread more across few post.

Its been more than 2 years (iirc June/July 2021) since the last merit source readjustment.

Before he introduced new merit sources and increased monthly allocation to already existing ones, number of merit shared per month dropped significantly (prior to june 2021 it was half of the current amount) and since merit numbers are pretty much stable since then and there was no significant decrease (add on that the fact that at the same time number of posts dropped down) I don't think that we gonna get new merit sources anytime soon.

Another problem is that themos usually doesn't approve merit applications individualy, but he tends to do in bulk when he does merit readjusting which makes it even a longer wait.
