Ledger Live Update?

Haven't updated ledger live in months.  Am still using ledger live 2.57.0.  The current ledger live is 2.66.


Do I just update it from ledger live in the top right and it should update it without any issue?  Or because it's a much older version of ledger live, there would be issues and I have to download it directly from ledger site?  I remember a long time ago, there was an instance where if your ledger live was older than so and so version... you had to download ledger live manually from ledger website because it wouldn't download the update correctly from ledger live.  Also is there anything you need to do during the update because I recall there was that service ledger introduced which most people did not want to do.

Ledger Nano are not recommendable wallets, it would be good to buy Passport (bitcoin only) or Trezor (altcoins included) instead.

I hope you know about their update on how people using Ledger hardware wallet can backup their seed phrase with third parties. Not only that, the company does not care about their user's privacy and the hardware wallet part is close source.

Is there any issue updating ledger live from all the way old version 2.57 to 2.66 though?  I haven't updated it in months so it is an older version.  The reason for that was because of those ledger news so I didn't bother.


Well isn't the ledger recovery only for nano ledger x (optional)?  I have the nano ledger s plus.

Why not try to update it to the latest version?
Don't worry about updating it to the latest version because you can later downgrade it back to the 2.57 version if anything goes wrong or have some issues after updating it to the latest version.

Why such a question at all when everyone who has been active in this board should already know the answer - every few weeks/months the OP appears with identical questions to which he has already received countless answers. The conclusion has long been more than clear, he simply does not accept anything he reads here.

I'm still using the older version of ledger live 2.57.0 and haven't updated it in months.
I heard the latest ledger live update, ledger live 2.62.2 has issues?  Can anyone confirm this?

Yes. Or no. Do it! Or don't! To update or not to update, that's the question. You're not going to do it, you're just going to wait a while and then post the exact same question again. Give it up, read your own post history instead of asking the same thing over and over again.

I just checked and yeah based on his post history he already asked this many times but he doesn't do anything. It seems that he doesn't care about the responses or he might have color blind sickness(black color vision deficiency)
