Positive effects you ask? Lots of them. I wouldn't say I'm in big profit from my gambling for 10 years almost, but that's money-wise. I had dozens of hours of good time, that's for sure. If I lose $30 in a week, but then another week I win $30 with betting just 10 cents, I feel good, right? No money won, but I feel good.

As far as i have been into gambling i have tried my possible best to control my gambling addiction and without this forum only God knows how bad my gambling habits would have been. I try not to gamble more than i can afford and most importantly when I don’t trust the odds i avoid them and try not to put greed into my bettings.

Yes it has helped me positively, it has reduced the level at which i owe debts and i have been having proper use for my money and since i have instilled this in me i never have to bother about winning or losing a bet because i don’t put my gambling money into consideration since i use an amount i can afford to lose. Most times it pays alot when i least expect a win, i just see my casino balance pumped up. Agree with you and basically a sense of responsibility in gambling has many meanings such as being responsible for what is risked and as much as possible to always accept whatever happens even if it is a large loss.
But a sense of responsibility can also be interpreted as an attitude that can easily restrain emotions and control oneself.

But unfortunately this kind of understanding is very rarely understood and the sense of responsibility is often lulled into simply chasing what will give satisfaction or pursuing promising opportunities.

A straight answer will be yes as I have used profits made from gambling to meet up urgent needs. This happened few weeks back I placed a bet with a spares cash I had, although not with the intent that it must be a winner, that's why I used spare cash. I like how simple you think and that's actually true. Whenever we won something against the house it's almost like an achievement because not too many gamblers will experience the same.
For me, I have already withdrawn money out of a gambling site for like 5 times at $20 to $50 but it took me so long before I could make that. I dont bet much, I just like the fun of the game and I think thats where I feel really blessed when I saw my balance increasing slowly until I reach a good amount that is able to be withdrawn.
I think what I have learned the most is being patient about it. I dont trt to double my bet even if I feel a losing streak is happening. I dont try to be greedy and change my plan midway just to chase the losses. I stay with one amount and try to wait for another lucky roll.

Also, sometimes I binge watch movies, series, go out with friends and thus this makes me gamble only when I have time left for gambling on weekends.

That's the only thing we can do to leave old habits and start new habits so that we have less time to do old habits. And it's good if you have a day job that can take up your entire day so you can really leave behind your old habits to try to focus on your daily work. And if you only use the weekend to gamble, that's okay too because that's your choice. After all, you can gamble whenever you want. And yes, using your time for other things, as you mentioned, is also very beneficial because you can get pleasure apart from gambling.
