I know that, they're not exactly the same countries. But what I want to say is that it's necessary to invest in young players. It's not necessary to turn everyone into a great player, but those who want to be players should be well encouraged and supported so they can develop well. This way, the Chilean national team will be great again in the future. I totally agree with that and actually many countries and even small teams are creating a sort of academies to improve the performance of the young players but also to detect them rapidly and to sell them if they have talents, keep those who aren't that top but could improve the local team and let the others move to a weaker club. This method is working well except the fact that it comes with extra fees and many poor talented players could not be included there, so they have to go throughout the normal way unless they cannot afford shoes.. Yeah it is sad but it's the truth. Chile or even Brazil have to take this point in consideration.

Yeah it is sad but it's the truth. Chile or even Brazil have to take this point in consideration. Yes, this has been happening a lot around the world. The problem lies in the big teams that end up competing with each other and inflating the price of players significantly. I recently saw a Portuguese team paying millions of euros for a player who hadn't proven himself at all. And if he weren't playing in Europe, or in a South American country, he would never have such a high price. The big problem is this inflation caused by the Europeans. Besides, this method works very well and has proven itself over time. It's no wonder that so many good players are revealed at the World Cup.

I think they'll take Neymar no matter what. Believe me ( ), they'll take him if he can play five minutes. Unless he has some kind very serious physicallyof impediment that really prevents him from going, he wouldn't go. He was a high-level player, so, The World Cup only lasts a month, and it's the ideal time for someone like him who is in retirement. It will be a World Cup of old idols, with Neymar, CR7, Messi, among others.

Cristiano Ronaldo during the last World Cup was a disaster, it was clear he couldn't play against big teams and yet he was there, every single match, trying to score no matter what. Neymar pretty much stopped being a football player years ago, he's constantly injured. Messi plays without even running. I loved all these players but there is a time when they should say it's enough, and the worst thing is that the managers don't have the balls to drop them from the team, they are almost hostage of these big names.

Man Chile has his golden generation in the years you mention, they won that American Cup both with luck in penalties against one long losing streak Argentina, after that Chile never again produce any good player and that golden generation start to retire and the replenish of the team never ever arrives so they comeback to their normal bad form.
He is right, for me Chile's first team was there when they won the Copa America , after that they started to falter, it is difficult because now they rely more on their experienced players, what happens is that football today is very fast and abroad, now things are getting tougher in South America because we have Argentina who have a machine team, on the other hand Brazil , this football is too competitive, for me the most difficult, that is why Chile still has not Been able to get ahead not even with coach Pekerman, who is very good.

I agree with you, sometimes the presence of star players whose performances have started to decline due to age or injuries puts managers in a difficult position. Fans will criticize if the manager puts Ronaldo, Messi or Neymar on the bench. When they are called up to strengthen their respective national teams, it means the manager must guarantee playing time for them. On the other hand, they are no longer the same players they were a decade ago, no longer as consistently reliable to score in every match, even though their mentality and leadership no need to question it anymore. I imagine that if Scaloni chose not to call up Messi, Martinez chose not to call up Ronaldo, or Ancelotti left out Neymar, they would face even greater criticism and pressure from many sides.

But as things stand, Neymar is becoming just another player living off past glories and probably never getting back to his former self.

Ancelotti knows this; he just needs to find a way to get Neymar playing, the Brazilian national team winning games, and the sponsors happy. That's the most important thing. Not putting Neymar in the World Cup, even if he's at his best, will be a financial loss. Unfortunately, that's modern football.
Well, one of the reasons why Neymar is so famous is because he owns the "Jogas Bonito" (Beautiful Game). He still owns it, and even though he's not what he used to be, he's a symbol for Brazil, for its players, and for its people Marketing is a fact that's present, but above all, in Brazil, they see Neymar as that player who will never lose his style. Ancelotti doesn't plan to make an enemy of Brazil by leaving Neymar out; he'll also include him because of the enormous pressure he must be under, The bad thing about Neymar is that he gets injured very quickly; his ankle is quite susceptible.

And there is no more Joga Bonito, that died a long time ago...

I think Ney should only focus on strengthening the areas where he gets injured, it's hard, because those areas have to be worked on with a lot of gym work and it's not easy, but I see another thing, in football things are tough and if someone is weak they get injured again, Ney already knows how it is, if he wants to do well and shine in the World Cup he must arrive with his physique greatly improved.

He's right and one of the things I really like about the MLS is that they have a very good physical condition, only the Amateur teams have a great level, so Ney will undoubtedly shine there and I think it will diminish a little due to the level of football that they are injuring him so much, it's a fact that it will be like that, I like that because Ney has nothing to prove, we all know about his quality, he's a player who will always make a difference, I want to see him in the World Cup. From the news I've seen, Neymar is on the pre-selection list, so I think he'll slow down now to focus on staying healthy and avoiding injuries. He'll probably even miss a few games.
The truth is I hope so because I personally want to see Ney in the World Cup Since that last World Cup where Ney was injured thanks to the Colombian , Ney has never been the same In fact, his bad moment with Santos where they beat Santos , he came out very affected.

I have always admired Neymar's talent. But he has been great at one thing as well. Destroying his career. He could have been at a much higher level now. But he got lazy after a point and ended his career earlier than it should have been. I know he has played at the highest level too but I'm talking about consistency. Now we are talking about the possibility of his return to the national team. If he is going to be disciplined then why not? I would love to watch him.

I want to see him perform at a high level, but his career shows he's not very disciplined. And even when he was making millions, he couldn't maintain consistency. Imagine now, earning 90% less. He really is a case of what not to do.

Is anyone here excited about the Brazilian national team's lineup for the last two games? I have a feeling that since Brazil has already qualified and is under less pressure, they can play well and win the remaining two games This is the updated list, as two players had to be replaced due to injury GK- Alisson (Liverpool)
- Bento (Al Nassr)
- Hugo Souza (Corinthians)
Back- Alexsandro Ribeiro (Lille)
- Caio Henrique (Monaco)
- Douglas Santos (Zenit)
- Fabrício Bruno (Cruzeiro)
- Gabriel Magalhães (Arsenal)
- Marquinhos (Paris Saint-Germain)
- Vanderson (Monaco)
- Wesley (Roma)
Mid- Andrey Santos (Chelsea)
- Bruno Guimarães (Newcastle)
- Casemiro (Manchester United)
- Jean Lucas (Bahia)
- Lucas Paquetá (West Ham)
Forward- Estêvão (Chelsea)
- Gabriel Martinelli (Arsenal)
- João Pedro (Chelsea)
- Kaio Jorge (Cruzeiro)
- Luiz Henrique (Zenit)
- Matheus Cunha (Manchester United)
- Raphinha (Barcelona)
- Richarlison (Tottenham)

Out of 24 players there are only these 10 who actually play for big teams. I understand that Ancelotti wants to try different solutions and players but, for me, the squad is kind of sad. Ancelotti has a tough job ahead because he must obtain results that, on paper, are beyond this team's possibility because for sure Brazilian people expect Brazil to win the World Cup (as usual) but there are several teams way better than them.

It's an interesting lineup; they're mixing experienced players with newcomers. Ancelotti even said he has the freedom to test and incorporate new talent, as long as they're in good physical condition. And big names like Neymar, who is injured, Rodrygo (I'm not sure), and Vinícius Jr., who was suspended, were left out.

In my opinion, Ancelotti has done a very good job, choosing players who are in their best form, so anyone can have a chance to get a call-up. Without Neymar, Vinicius, and Rodrygo, Brazil's squad depth still looks quite luxurious. I think Brazil will be able to defeat Chile and Bolivia. Ancelotti might be able to guide Brazil to a runnerup finish in the standings with 31 points, right behind Argentina. Of course, on the condition that Ecuador drops points in their last two matches, or Brazil manages to score more goals. After experiencing some pretty severe ups and downs in performance, Brazil has finally reached a safe point, guaranteed to qualify for the upcoming 2026 World Cup. Nevertheless, I still hope that Neymar will return to strengthen Brazil in the future, the 2026 World Cup is his last chance.

I also really like the team's independence without the big names; it creates new leaders within the team and allows them to have more synergy with each other. But obviously, without these key players it will be more difficult, but as he himself said, they are already qualified and can very well try new things.
