Today marks the 4.5th anniversary of the Merit Cycling Club, and on this admittedly arbitrary occasion, I am pleased to announce that both GazetaBitcoin and fillippone have proved themselves worthy of promotion to fully-felched fledged Merit Cycler with the full pay and privileges that that position bestows. Congratulations.

Merely a practical joke that got way out of hand after a certain infamous user insinuated that high-ranking forum members (including myself) are gaming the merit system by cycle merits between each other. I decided to roll with it because it seemed funny and I had a perfect opportunity to poke fun at omnipresent signature/avatar campaigns at the same time. (I also quite dramatically rolled with another of his infamous insinuations, but for different reasons.)

Wow! It was a really valuable thing. I expected something like "a piece of string, a piece of hard candy, an old penny, and a World's Greatest Grandpa keychain", but it exceeds any of my expectations! Even if it was pretty logical: a mystery box to hold a mist, what else? (Maybe... some mister?..)

Don't forget, o_e_l_e_o wasn't the only recipient of a mystery box. There were two other mystery boxes, one containing one pound of almonds and the other containing one gallon of Ideal Fluid Co. zero-viscosity oil. My reasons for choosing these prizes will always remain a mystery, possibly even to me.
