I personally hope that people could get better attention to low cap stuff, most of them are just pure shitcoins, even if they are listed there, because just getting listed there doesn't make you any less shitcoin, it just makes you one with some money that can pay for it.

The trend of looking for Low Cap tokens is actually no longer effective, because not many people experience high pumps atm. Maybe, if anyone is still enthusiastic about looking for lowcap tokens, they can follow influencers on platform X, because there is a lot of information being shared there. Reddit could also be an option. But, what you say is true, if the altcoin is low cap it will most likely become a shitcoin. Potential investors should do research before buying to minimize the risk of loss, and focus on short-term profits rather than holding for long terms if decided to buy already.

Last bull market, it is known that there are people who like to gamble in this kind of tokens, they are labeled as "degens" before. They just hope that the token they bought go high so that they can get profit from all of the capital they use. These low cap tokens where popular when the trend of deFi are just starting and deFi exchange are basically new. I remember that there's a coin named "SCAM" that rise from it's nearly zero capitalization but because of the hype it rise and makes holders gained massive profits, but today the token is gone and pretty much have no value. It's very risky and I'm sure that there are many who lose their money because of it, most of it are newbies.

Well, 99% of alts behave like you explained. They remain stable for the whole bull season, after the bull season they even lose their value... over the year I have experienced this with some of my holdings. But some alts surprise all of us, and they make some incredible rise.

I think that people should stick to BTC and other top alts, but I like to experiment with some new projects and it's not bad to do that, as long as we don't risk too much. Having fun is healthy, and in some situations can even bring some nice profit.

Such coins can really bring good profits. But I think that the main factor that this is not a scam should be large exchanges, such as Binance. If a lowcap coin is traded on Binance, then surely there is a possibility that there will be a good pump in the future.

Low caps have pro and cons, you don't want to be caught in the worngs ones. On an norms, if a project is solid, hardly will it remain a low cap, it will have no market cap in the range of 200M to 300M, that is an average projects to me but some whales will see it as low caps and invest in it, anything below 50M is a low cap but then again, you have to becareful and mindful of the ones you put money, there are some of them that will recover from that cap and there are some that can plummet to 300k from that 50M, so you have to becareful of where you put your money, you need to do proper research before you invest in them.

Alternatively, when you see projects in the range of that 300M to 400M, consider puting the little you can on them, most especially if they have not make been pump in the past, but the ones that have been pumped and dumped in the range of that market cap, just avoid them because there are people that have bough at the top and looking for liquidity to exit the project, that factor will slow the growth of the project and you may not even have anything to sell at the end.

Obviously, you made a very common mistake by buying SNM at the price level where your friend was selling this coin. And where your friend got a profit, you got a loss. So after all, it's not about the capitalization of the coin, since such a mistake can be made when buying any coin.

Even if a project is not established or old or trusted, it should at least have a good present which means that an investor must do their research before getting into a project and shouldn't just base their investment on the fact that the token or coin has a low market cap which barely makes it a good coin or a token since the price of it can always change and that change can only be positive if the project is a good one with a good team and stuff.

If someone thinks that they are not capable of doing any research or understanding if a project is worth investing in or not then they should probably just go with projects that have been around for quite some time and they know that they will at least perform well when the market enters the bull run.

But altcoins are very difficult to predict. they go up not only when BTC goes up also the hype factor from the community also influences it. I'm currently looking at one of them and seeing how it works. If it's good, I take it without following the supply quantity.

That being said that if you bought when the token was pumped and your friend was also buying when the token was dumped. That's why your friend was making profit while you are losing your money.

You shall also learn avoid to buy the token that was getting pumped so hard. I have seen many people are feeling worry to take the risk by buying the tokens which have been dumping so hard continously.
People are feeling scared to lose once the price goes even deeper while this is not possible to happen forever but people like to lose their money to buy the pumped token.

Bounties coins are new and listed in small exchanges , sometimes only in dex. We are talking about those coins which are listed in big exchanges like Binance, Kucoin. These coins rising speed is much better then any other coins, sometimes 10x in just 2 days but I agree that if price not rised then these low cap coins are behaving like a dead coin and holders have to wait long (more then six months) for any breakup. Low risks coins are better choice to invest in bear market.

We must adapt to the circumstances of the market and grab what we can, when the price of bitcoin and many other coins is so cheap there is not really any point on trying to take risks right now with low cap altcoins, however once the bull market is in full swing and you have obtained great profits with your investments then that is the moment, if you want, to take some small risks and invest a small amount of money on those coins, if it works then that is great, but if it does not then nothing really changes.

Yes, I believe that some part of an altcoin portfolio should contain low capitalization altcoins that are somewhere between 700-1500 places in the crypto rankings. These are the cryptocurrencies that can make you a fortune, even if you invest in 10 projects, of which only 1 will survive, its profit will cover all the losses at once and bring you profit. These are high-risk investments, but they make sense if you do proper research when choosing such projects.

sometime some altcoin might have independence towards bitcoin price and instead going on its own in term of market movement that could simply cause it to be having different trend compared with bitcoin.
thats what make it more uncertain if its just following bitcoin then the trend will be more or less just the same as bitcoin.

True, market capitalization does not guarantee anything that this investment will be a success. At the same time, we are talking specifically about the growth potential of projects with low capitalization. Low capitalization projects have a better chance of mega pump than large capitalization projects. This is an obvious fact and I don't think anyone will dispute it. It is much easier to increase the price of a project by 100 times if its capitalization is, for example, $20M than a project with $700M capitalization.

Of course, there is a small chance that such an altcoin may increase in price several times. But everyone should understand that a chance is not a guarantee at all and it is quite possible that such an altcoin will show you a super dump instead of a pump.

if we encounter altcoin that are relatively new in term of development and also having massive support from the community then it means that the project itself might be huge.
but I agree that altcoin is sometime not following the rule of thumb of following the trend of bitcoin sometime if the altcoin is just having a good time it could definitely move on its own.
many like that happened if you have seen meme coins and similar coin in general, they have their own trend, and sometime altcoin could be having massive bullrun just because some other things like just recently got listed etc.
