[...] Not all altcoins are worthy of investing and during this season bitcoin is the most assured investment for anyone.
There's always an ALT season and a BTC season. Choosing BTC is indeed a wise option, but the dominance of BTC and the dominance of ALT coins will always fluctuate as the entire crypto community seizes opportunities.

The all-time highs (ATH) of Ethereum and Bitcoin occurred simultaneously, in November 2021. This indicates that crypto adoption has truly captured widespread attention. It's not just Bitcoin that felt the impact; several altcoins also experienced a bull run concurrently with Bitcoin's bull run.

While it's impossible to predict what will happen in the next halving event, for now, all types of ALT assets in the top 10 are not a bad investment. BTC, however, should secure a larger portion for long-term needs.

Why should we not invest all our money in bitcoin but part of it in altcoins? Are you talking about diversification? Do you think investing in altcoins will reduce our risk? While all altcoins are dependent on the movement of bitcoin. Even if bitcoin crashes, all altcoins will disappear, the market will not exist without bitcoin. Investing in altcoins is not bad because many altcoins give better returns than bitcoin but there is nothing wrong if someone believes only in bitcoin, which is the safest coin in the market.

Altcoins will disappear after Bitcoin crash? No.
They will also crash with it? Yes.
I have been hearing a word called de-dollarization to be taking place and it will be replaced by some other real world currency as a chief reserve currency for making worldwide transactions because the inflation that has gone out of US' hands will make dollar stressed out at some point and it will see the worst crash in its index and will be worth nothing till US clears up some part of its debts. I think this will give boost to the value of btc against USD but remember, if USD goes weak against btc and all real world currencies too, then that increase will be worth nothing because it is not going to give you any profits if you come from another country and its currency becomes stronger against the dollar, for example the entire Europe.

Yes, when bitcoin crashes, not all altcoins will disappear, but most of them will disappear, you can easily see that during the last bear season and in previous bear seasons.
Many altcoin projects have disappeared or have not developed for a long time. Do you still see topcoins like NEM, EOS, LISK...? They were once potential altcoins and were expected to replace ETH.

The discussion is about bitcoin and altcoins, I don't think there is anything to do with politics and de-dollarization here. I really don't understand what you are talking about. I just want to say that there is nothing wrong if someone just wants to invest in bitcoin and say no to altcoins.

Sometimes, or even probably always, when there is a bull run, altcoins have more upside potential than bitcoin. Of course the top coins are constantly changing, but the same NEM, EOS or LISK in their season gave much more profit than bitcoin. But altcoins are a lottery and if we talk about the reliability of investments, then of course it is better to choose bitcoin.

OP if there's going to be another boom I don't think it will be by this time that we're having this slow movement of Bitcoin price, maybe it might come in by the end of October. Some traders are really hoping to see it move up to at least $27k but for almost 2 weeks now the price hasn't left $26. What seems to be the cause of BTC price not going up and not coming down either?

Looking at the reality now seems quite difficult, Bitcoin is very influential there are all Altcoins in the market and even though it is the top altcoin it is still below Bitcoin.

The rise may be more significant but let's see how long the rise lasts.
Of course, it depends on the state of Bitcoin, when Bitcoin Sideway and Bitcoin dominance decreases, it becomes a golden opportunity for Altcoin price recovery, but soon after that Bitcoin will return to strength and leave Altcoin alone.

Long-term investment of course Bitcoin is the first choice, but I also have a second option, ETH as my second investment.
ETH always follows the price of Bitcoin and this also provides great profit potential when Bitcoin's new ATH is reached.

let's see how Bitcoin Vs Altcoins perform

Yes, some altcoins will bring better profits than bitcoin but high profits come with high risks, everything has its price so investing in altcoins is considered gambling rather than investing. I'm not against throwing money at altcoins but spending should only be a small portion and should be limited even if it brings higher returns. Don't just think about the profits we will gain but also think about what we will lose when talking about altcoins. Bitcoin is always the best choice.

That's right. I wasn't talking about all altcoins. I even said that altcoins are a lottery or roulette. If you are lucky enough to guess the right coin, the profit can be much more than if you invest in bitcoin. By the way this year bitcoin has made a profit for those who were able to buy it at the previous bottom. Altcoins are making losses so far.

I would guess there would be some that would crash and never recover so we could say "some" will disappear, but in the sense that FTT and Luna are gone now, technically speaking they do exist, you could still find places to buy them if you want to, it is possible, but could you really imagine them as existing, I consider them as gone.

There would be some like that, where it goes down and it is not going to come back, that's probably going to be the case for many of them. Aside from that, I agree with the rest, no matter how much bitcoin drops, alts will drop that much or even a little bit more, and no matter how much bitcoin goes up, same will happen with altcoins as well. That's how both works together in sync.

In differences between the potential profit that you could get then those altcoins would really be giving out that kind of opportunity for you to make money which is more than that you could really be able to generate

or get if you do stick with bitcoin but i dont say that you should not put up on bitcoin for you to hold for long. It is really that more important that bigger percentage of your portfolio should be in Bitcoin and the rest would really be on your selection of altcoins which you do believe that it would really be having the potential that could really be able to rise its price on upcoming bull run.The most important thing on here is that you should really be just investing on the amount which you can afford to lose and never ever consider yourself on having that all in kind of investing or something that you are making use of the money which are supposedly to be used on emergencies, education, food and whatever important expenses on which a certain person could have.

In 2016 when I was a kid, this coin got in stuck in my mind but absolutely everyone around me was telling me to forget it, it's scam, it's online shit
I don't think we can blame them  for looking out for you especially when the internet has so many scams and when someone brings you something that relates to it then they get defensive about it...but against all odds good to see you went with your gut feeling and stuck around!

As we all know, halving is coming. Should I invest my savings in Bitcoin? Or should I lean towards altcoins this time? Which one?
Just so you know, the halving is something that has a positive bearing on price but unfortunately the impact isn't immediate!!
If you don't mind buying and waiting a couple of weeks to months then by all means do invest in some BTC.

As of which one to go with, well they say don't put all your eggs in one basket and it will be prudent to minimise risk by diversification but you could go with a 70% investment in BTC and 30% investment in Altcoins.

Parents do the most to protect their child and obviously want/wish the best for them even when they don’t know what might be best. I would say, having a sound education as against jumping into bitcoin investments isn’t something bad or out of place. It’s a good decision for me and one OP should be grateful of as, it opens your mind to tools and understanding of concepts when presented with one. It could as well be because of your education that you’re able to deduce what has happened in your past and is happening right now in your finance.

As we all know, halving is coming. Should I invest my savings in Bitcoin? Or should I lean towards altcoins this time? Which one?

The best that OP could do for himself or herself is taking things up with bitcoin, study the project and network, save out funds to invest when you can else, there would be a lot more regrets after that. Just as you already know, opportunity doesn’t sit around and the price for bitcoin isn’t either.

Booms are common in the financial markets, it's not really a shocking thing that we will have one more. We should be used to it by now and think that it could happen one way or another. I believe that we are going to end up with some profit eventually and should be something that would make a profit.

I can see already that the next boom is growing right now, it doesn't happen overnight but it looks like it's quick. Because, people do not see this current period is part of the bull run or boom, this is a right moment to buy because we are accumulating and that's the start of the market and should be considered something that would make sense on the long run and could be making some sort of profit in the end.

Now this is the best opportunity, I'm afraid retailers won't be able to buy at cheap prices like now. We will see many large companies starting to enter, when that happens prices will continue to rise and be higher than they are now. It is wise to buy now and start holding until the ATH is reached again. After all, this will be a profitable investment in the long term, for those who are not patient this will be a boring moment, but let's see how the profits will be seen later.

How will you minimize the risk when all your assets are still in crypto?  don't forget that the entire market depends on the movement of bitcoin, if bitcoin falls then no altcoin can rise.  so do you think allocating 30% of your capital to altcoins can reduce your risk, or will it increase your risk of loss because altcoins will probably die, but bitcoin will not?  don't put all your eggs in one basket, diversifying to minimize risk is only true when you invest in non-crypto assets.

The best that OP could do for himself or herself is taking things up with bitcoin, study the project and network, save out funds to invest when you can else, there would be a lot more regrets after that. Just as you already know, opportunity doesn’t sit around and the price for bitcoin isn’t either.
We're still given the chance to buy more and fill our bags ready for the next bull run. Those who wait for the bottom, I'm afraid that they will miss the chance and regret it.

We can't be uncertain about the 4-year cycle of the market. We have witnessed the bear season already and we couldn't think it was going to be like this forever but for sure, there is sunshine to be coming. Of course, not this year, we can't expect it but can be expected after halving. So buying now is a good idea but we also have to be patient if we want to earn more profit.

A look at Bitcoin's history shows how Bitcoin has changed over time and can be expected to see more in the future. We know the halving is coming so many investors are just waiting until the market is ATH. Even if you invest bitcoins for your future, they can be risky as there is volatility in the market. If you can invest through volatility then surely you can earn from it and also you have to invest with sufficient amount of patience. Given the number of halvings Bitcoin has had in history, we can expect the next halving very soon. That's why you can definitely invest in Bitcoin right now and long you have to wait when the market is bullish and you can double your earnings. And don't ever invest in elotcoin and wait for a long time. We have seen a lot of scams. That's why it is better to invest in bitcoins to invest and earn, investing in altcoins involves risk and fear of losing money.

As I see, there are guys on this forum since 2015, they are here still today, so I want to know your opinion and want to hear your advice about Bitcoin.
You have to learn how consistency can lead someone to achieve success and often people ignore the issue of consistency because along the way they don't get any benefits so they decide to just stop. We have been on this forum for a long time even in difficult times and have gone through a lot regarding bitcoin knowledge, thus bringing such strong knowledge to the belief in investing in bitcoin until now.

As we all know, halving is coming. Should I invest my savings in Bitcoin? Or should I lean towards altcoins this time? Which one? I don't have health problems and don't have to worry about job security but it would make me sad to lose all the savings but life in Canada is getting expensive every fucking day.
It would be better for you to focus on investing in bitcoin if you want to see the Halving because when that happens your investment will grow quite a lot. Not many Altcoins have good long-term potential because their fundamental level is very different from bitcoin. When you invest money in bitcoin, there is nothing to worry about because there is always a four-year cycle that makes bitcoin reach a new price and all you need to do is be calm and not panic when market conditions look so red.

Maybe he only puts money into assets like stablecoins so he thinks there won't be too much risk for him, but if he puts 30% of his money into altcoins and the rest into other cryptos, I think it's still risky and could even be too much because of altcoins It could die and disappear from the market because of inadequate development. Meanwhile, Bitcoin can still provide recovery and price improvements in the market without having to fear loss, although you still need patience to wait for this.

The advice not to put eggs or money in one basket, for example, is a very wise thing because everyone who wants to become a reliable investor needs to know several good investments so they can put money in several types of investments so they don't just focus on one type, such as crypto. So if you want to minimize risk, it's better not to choose altcoins because it is a very unsuitable place and even the opposite of what we want in an effort to minimize risk.

The boom market every bitcoin holders expects is to see the market rising, secondly is to see a continuous adoption in bitcoin and thirdly is in seing bitcoin making a new all time high after every successful halving event, these are the things every investors will always look after because they wanted to be sure that bitcoin market remains as they have always expected it to be, this alone is a boom on itself, because bitcoin investment remain ever reliable and trusted, which could also mean there will ever be a ready market for bitcoin because of its value and consistency.
